Welcome to Hiimbens gallery. I do pixelwork because I dont have the programs for other work and I find I can be very creative with pixelling.

 

 

 

I will put here on the first post, the most current things to be rated and c/c'ed on.

Some of you may remember this, :D , anyways, a bit more practise and some C/C taken on board to make this pixel.

The Big white circle is the thing I used to see how much hair I needed to make :D Thanks for the quick rating. The mood I intend to have in the scene is meant to be kind of sad so that's why it's so dark. Keep the rates coming. :D

dude to tell the truth, all the shades u choose are too similar to make out any difference in the pic

 

 

 

the new version is a lil visible but u need to choose a lil different shades

Thanks for the reply. I am still going to work on the shading. It is a wip at the moment. But I will work on it. I am thinking of using a similiar style to the gloves. Post what you think. :D

just a note: pillow shading = bad.... and thats what you did, instead of going 1-2-3-2-1 for colors, go with a more 1-2-3-4-3, as that makes it MUCH more realistic... pluss pillow shaded pixels are looked down upon... immensly...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and now, so i dont get flamed i have to add in a compliment... nice job on the texture as it looks like a real piece of cloth, just amke sure the shading fixes that

Thanks for that. I am pretty sure that the pillowshading is on the Torso and legs. I don't know what I will use for a lightsource yet. But I will fix the shading to make it more realistic. Any idea's for the light source would be good. Seeing as I am thinking of the character reading a depressing letter, maybe something like a moon or streetlight. Any more ideas would be appreciated :D

Hi again all. I have still been working on this pixel but I've been busy in real life. Here's my progress , I havent finished the shading ( dithering and that, but if someone could tell if I have done lighting correctly it would be appreciated :D

Perhaps a different back,ground, or maybe a flash hidden in a .gif so people will notice it. Wonderful, but only on one monitor (this new one) visible.

Why is it on a dark background anyway? Wouldn't it be easier to work against white/gray, and change the background later?

I have tried putting it on a light background and it doesn't look quite right. I will try and do that so I can add the Background later.
