Starting a lvl 3 yew cutter... Risky?

Featured Replies

I'm making a level 3 that should be my wc pure... But is there a big chance that someone will report me for macroing because I'm a lvl 3 with a rune axe on a yew tree? I don't wanna spend a lot of time training an account and then get it banned so should I do this or not?

I wouldn't worry about it. Even if you were reported Jagex do have ways of detecting these programs.

If you are honestly not using auto programs then Jagex shouldn't find any auto programs, thus they shouldn't ban you.

But, just to be safe, start the odd conversation now and then, and say hi when people walk past.

Gaining a few combat levels could be an advantage too (i know, it defeats the point of having a skill pure), but it would make you less of a target, and you would get less people reporting you for an offence you are not commiting.

The thing is that I want lvl 1 on all skills except for woodcutting so I'll just talk to everybody... Even the bots :?

but frankly, why make a pure wc....it's pointless...just wc on ur main.....

I think the only way Jagex can tell is if your route you use is exactly the same every time.

So change it a few times and talking is good.

Because I'm doing other things on my main and I don't wanna go back and fourth all the time... Because I usually merchant on my main.

I guess it's a risk you'll have to take... :? Just pay attention, and talk when people ask you stuff.

I honestly don't understand why you don't Woodcut on your main. That way, you can have many good skills on one account instead of good skills divided between two accounts. You may just have to take the risk with the lvl 3 account. One way to help yourself is to wear clothes. A lot of autoer accounts usually are in the basic clothes, but lvl 3 skillers are always wearing like Wizzy (t) or (g) that they've bought with skilling money.

Expecting a good life because you're a good person is like expecting a bull not to charge because you're a vegetarian.

just talk and talk, and do not b the first lk character from where u choose wot 2 lk like in the tutorial!! B DIFFERENT!!

Make yourself look unique or different. Most autoers don't bother to put on any armour or anyhting. Put something simple on like full bronze or wizards. This usually distinguishes you from autoers.

As long as you dont macro, you dont need to worry...even if people do report you nothing will happen if you're innocent :)

I started a skiller and whenever i go to the yews, some "noob" like level 60 fresh from p2p says im a macroer and when I talk say I macroed to get 60 wc. So be ready for a verbal beating from idiot little kids that think they're good...

completely correct, jagex can scan your comp for macroes; if none are on your computer, you're safe.

This is where they want I should sign?

No they can't. :? My understanding was that their system flagged accounts with suspicious activity (clicking on the same pattern of pixels, for example) then they look at the flagged accounts.

Having the Reindeer hat on it would be a good move, and/or wearing any random reward clothing, especially as that tends to be zero weight.

Wearing full iron would be a little extra protection against a tree spirit (since you would get a low lebvel one), but increases weight.

Finally, for a rich woodcutter, going defence pure to at least level 10 (gold trimmed black), would be another option, unless you are determined to stay level 3 (where the best "display" wearables are random kit or gold trimmed wizard).

lv 3 skillers are disposable char.

hence if lost no big deal since it's not that hard to lv

up another skiller to cut yews.

imo all lv 3 skiller should be banned along with all

the macros.

Quite right - Jagex cannot scan your computer - Runescape is Java based, and Windows will not allow any Java program to mess with your computer. What Jagex DOES do is scan the mouse clicks/trading/talking of your character. If you are repeatedly clicking in the same spot, following the same path to your bank, clicking in the same spot to bank the logs, then running back and clicking in the same spot on the same tree and waiting until 15 seconds after the tree falls, they will easily detect that and ban you for a week and 8 black marks (ouch)

just talk and if you get reported they will prolly end up getting a worse penalty then you since the message log shows up and your talking on it and they are reporting you for no reason

You probably won't get any penalty even if you don't talk, becuase Jagex also detects where you click etc. However, it's good to play it safe and talk every now and then to make sure your not mistaken for an autoer  Beware of wanna-be mods, who will report you if you do not reply within 5 secs of them saying "hi"

Nah, I don't think they'd get in trouble either. It can be hard to tell if someone's an autoer or not sometimes, since the programmers find ways.
