I'm sorry, but salamanders aren't very practical for efficient training, chinchompas are awesome in CERTAIN places, c'bows and comp bows stink, and blessed dragon armor has same stats as black dhide i thought? If you count blessed dhide as an advantadge to rangers then you ahve to count all black (t)/(g), addy (t)/(g), rune (t)/(g) armor, black (h) helms, addy (h) helms, rune (h) helms, and guthix, zammy, sara, gilded... And then mages have (t) and (g) robes also.

as you guys may, or may not notice, jagex deprives the archers of any updates, if anybody could please tell me the last update jagex made for archers, i would like to know any recent ones... i mean ranged is a pretty nice skill, but for free play, their are what, like 3 different sets of range armor, four bows, and like 5 different types of arrows. not to much if you ask me, when you hit 40 range in f2p no more armor or arrows for you... jagex, i guess kind of ignores the range skill if you can tell by this post i have just posted...

I used to range all my slayertasks untill that mask came out, then I went melee. Range is just a great skill, to bad jagex doesn't see it that way.

I support, I often use range on fire giants, and since im low range level i need a boost, this would do nicely.

I think the reason that the mask only affects melee is that there is a Defense trade-off. With your +15% Attack and Strength bonus, you get a piece of headgear that gives no Defense at all. So if you want to make this work for Mage and Range, you need to come up with some sort of trade-off with them as well.

seriously..i know ALOT about stats having such strange ones as i do currently. I know how badly range is underpowered and how much melee is overpowered. I know tons of stakers who face range vs melee and 90% of the time the meleer wins (these are maxed players). So just leave the thread and take your knowledge with you (not that its worth very much).

*Sigh* Just because I don't have a level, doesn't mean I don't have knowledge. This thread isn't about whether ranged is underpowered and melee is overpowered. It was a suggestion to change the blakc mask. This isn't a debate over who knows what, its a discussion on what's wrong and what needs to be fixed. The old saying goes "if its broke fix it!". But how do you tell if it's broke? Just because you hit 11's with addy arrows and not 23's doesn't mean that an item is broken. There are three different melee skills, and only one ranged skill (not counting hitpoints). Why wouldn't melee be stronger with help from three different stats?

well is the 15% mage for mage atk accuracy?and with range?does it make it hit higher? and doesnt it give negative mage and range atk boost in the stat menu?
