Guide to safe Nature runecrafting by De_Lille_D

If you have ever tried making nats, or running ess to nat altar, you probably know it's a great way to make some fast cash. But the downside is you have to either use the Abyss, attracting all kinds of pkers, or you have to use another slow method, that is too boring and isn't fast enough to make good money. I am going to teach you a way that is safe and fast (it seems pretty fast to me ...).

What you need to have (quests/ skills):

- Level 44 Runecrafting if you want to craft them yourself; if not, nothing

- Finished Fairy Tale I

- Started Fairy Tale II (You do not need the requirements for the quest)

Recommended:

- 89 Combat level or higher: There are aggresive Junge spiders near Shilo village fence, but you can outrun 'em.

(- Level 91 Runecrafting, to make the double amount of nats => BIG $$$)

(- High Agility level: The higher your level, the faster your run energy restores, the faster you can craft your runes.)

What to bring or have in bank:

- A Nature tiara (advised), but a nature talisman will work too.

- A Darmen staff, or an item that allows you to use the fairy ring network.

- Pure essence (Mined or bought (about 90-100 ea))

Recommended:

- All the pouches you can get (don't try to get them in the abyss, use the ALR-code and kill abyssal leeches there untill you have all the pouches you can use).

- Weight reducing clothes: Boots of lightness, Spotted cape or Spottier cape.

- Teleport jewellery (Glory amulet, Dueling ring, Game necklace)

safenatrcqp0.th.png

What to do:

- Go to Zanaris (= Lost City) (I usually go there using my glory to teleport to edgenville and use the fairy ring, east of the river).

- Go to the bank and take out your equipement and some pure ess.

- Equip the equipement and fill your pouches.

- Fill your inventory with pure ess and make sure the pouches are all full.

- Go towards the fairy ring (and check if your pouches are full in the meanwhile).

- Use the CKR-code (2 clicks on every circle) to teleport to Karamja.

- Click on the minimap, near the fence of Shile village, to walk around the trees.

- Walk allong the north side of the fence, towards the east.

- When the fence stops, and there are only trees, go north east, to the altar.

- Enter the altar.

- Craft your first load of nats or give the ess to the one you are running ess for.

- Keep emptying you puches and crafting the nats, untill you have none left.

- Exit the altar.

- Click on the ground near the fence again and walk west.

- Click on the minimap, there where the ring is.

- Use the ring to teleport to Zanaris.

- Go back to the bank and store your nats and withdraw your pure ess.

- Fill pouches and fill up inventory with pure ess.

- Go back and craft untill you have no ess left, have to stop or are sick off it.

You can also, if you wish to gain some time, teleport to Edgenville using a glory amulet, once you crafted all your runes. Use the bank in Edgy and run to the other side of the river and use the Fairy ring there.

Personally, I don't think it's that much faster (will have to see with measurings)(, actually I don't even know if it's faster  ), and you will aslo have to recharge the glories you use.

Times:

Safe way while running: 2 minutes 20

Safe way while walking: 3 minutes 35

Abyss: 1 minute 20 to 1 minute 45

Variation while running: (no measurings yet)

Variantion while walking: (no measurings yet)

The Abyss is maybe a bit faster, but I'm not counting time to switch worlds to escape pkers. See the next part for more reasons to use my method. It's still your choice to pick the one you prefer.

Why to do this:

You will be able to safely craft nats, or run ess without having to change worlds or run from pkers or monsters in the abyss. I think most of the Cons, are just minor inconvieniences compared to the Pros.

Pro:

* Safety first: no worries about pkers, monsters in the abyss or monsters in Tai Bwo Wannai Village.

* No more selling and buying your ess to the general store northwest of there and having someone buying your ess.

(* You can take 1 extra ess, because you don't need a 1-click teleport.)

* No glroies used, so no time lost recharging them.

Con:

* You need an nature tiara (or talisman) and they cost 10k each (i think)(,or you can get 1 from killing abyssal creatures in the abyssal area (ALR-code)).

* You will have to go to the abyss anyway to repair pouches, however nor very often.

* Annoying trees near Karamja fairy ring.

Tips:

- Try to run as much as possible.

- Get a friend to race with: you'll have someone to talk with and move faster because of the race.

- Take all the pouches you can use, even if they are broken, they will only take less ess: a broken pouch > no pouch.

- When you exit, check if you have the amount of nats you normally get, you might have forgot a pouch (take into consideration that broken poches take less ess).

Very nice guide.

You may want to put the "no glories used" line under the pros and not the cons. Also, the time to do an abyss trip running is around 1m 45s or so, and walking is never done due to pker danger.

The biggest drawback of this method is having to go to the abyss every 25 runs or so, to fix pouches. It could drain as much time as recharging glories, I don't know though. To bring damaged pouches isn't something I'd do, as it's painful to get them back once they degrade fully.

In the cons, I'd write that it's soooo boring  Abyss needs you to pay attention, so it's not as boring and repetitive.

I like the guide- I just got 44 Runecrafting, and I was looking for a fast and safe way to craft nats.

Here it is.

Good Guide, but... Use the ring to teleport to Zabaris.

Notice the typo?

I use the abyss because the chaces of a pker ur lvl are low, and i have never died running 10k nats, with only 2 pker run ins

Dungeoneering isn't a skill.

I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden.

PM me if you want to chat. My PM is always off.

My keyboard is on fire. Want some?

Very good guide, only one thing to add.

How about; after crafting tele to edge, restock ess, go to the fairy ring on the other side of the river, etc.

That's almost as fast as the abbyss.

When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done.

All skills 80+

I did this method before and I have been pked using the abyss. In the long run it takes about 1 hour to get a pouch back and I think that tallies to that this method (Fairy Rings Method) might be more boring but it helps in the longs run. Plus when you are just going to get your pouches fixed you can take a whip a few sara brews and probally a super set for those pesky pkers since you arent really nat crafting. Hehehe. Nice guide, I figured this method out, just takes a bit of thinking. Very nice guide, I think this might be slower but it helps in the very long dreary, blood incarnated road. *sigh

Ok, i did, it's kind of confusing when you see all the code. Also put in the time for an abyss run, thanks.

I guess that just depends from person to person, i hate it when i have to check constantly if my hp isn't low, my glory is charged and the constant worry for pkers just annoys me. This method allows people to relax, kick back and even go on other sites (like forums) while runecrafting.

Maybe, if the way between Edgy and the ring is much shorter then altar-bank-ring, which, if you ask me, isn't. You also will have to use glories, which need recharging and make you have to break your routine.

EDIT - I'll put it in as a variation to my method.

I can average 1:20 minutes per trip through abyss, using super energies running constantly. I NEVER switch world from pkers, If they entangle me, I tele with crystal; If they tb, I run up to the mage.

By the way, the result above was from a 1 hour test with 2-3 pkers that I had to tele from.

Abyss is MUCH faster crafting, but your guide is great :)

Doesn't teleblock prevent you from 'teleporting' using the mage? I don't know, but it's kind of logical you won't be able to tele.

Nope, it doesn't for some reason. The first time I discovered it, I was pretty surprised and thought the TB hit me when I already had been teled; but now it keeps happening even if they tb ages before I get to the dude... So I just keep running through :XD:

there is a way to make this even faster...

use glory, and tele to egdeville, right east for edgeville there is a fairy ring... this way will be faster, if you have enough glories so you don't have to recharge too often

Have you measured how long it takes? If not, don't say something is faster, if you don't know it is. Also, recharing the glories will probably make you lose the time you have won by teleing.
