Lord_K
That's exactly it. In RS pking it's not like FPS where 5 second shooting adrenaline rush. Pking can last for hours, well trips, and you're going for broke. Action games you die, press restart, RS you die you lose everything and have to gain the cash back you got to wield.wear the items you used. I think it's a much bigger adrenaline rush IMO. That's why I think there are a ton of pures being created everyday. You make RS pking sound like Tantra, compared to the mediochre 3 minutes of satisfaction you get from Warcraft PVP. I'm definatly over analysing this...

Kenshinjapan
i guess i see what you mean. I cant personally see a draw to WoW. I have played wow, twice, and I could write a huge list of things i didnt like/that runescape has better. my conclusion: if you like graphics/pvp play WoW if you like gameplay/depth to your gaming experience play runescape I do however, find myself a little imbarressed when I tell people that I play runescape. I can't really figure out why though... Took the words right outta my mouth...I even bought WOW awhile back and TRIED to force myself into playing it...biggest waste of $50 ever. YOU! swampjedi
For so many, games are all about the eye candy. What is the first thing mentioned about a new game or console? Nine times out of ten, it's the graphics. I've heard people call classic NES and SNES games garbage because "nothing that looks like that crap can be fun to play". However, some of the best games of all time are on those systems. I appreciate the poster who mentioned the Zelda games above - that's exactly what I mean. Gameplay >>>>> graphics. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'd rather drive an ugly car that I can get a million miles out of than a sports car that's going to blow up on a quick trip around the block. Whoever mentioned the Madden games had it right. It's all smoke and mirrors, there's nothing there but visuals. It's the same game that Madden 92 (first one I had for the SNES) is. Are you honestly saying that World of Warcraft is all 'smoke and mirrors' and has nothing but graphics(which honestly aren't all that good by today's standards)?

piman1053
most of my irl friends are like "that game sucks. i played it when i was 10, got to lvl like 50 and then sold my account to some dude i met on the street" i see why people hate rs; I only play it cuz ps3s are a waste of a thousand bucks b/c you only play one game for like a week and then put out another 60 or whatever dollars for another game that will suck
azbball55
I like Runescape because it's a MMORPG that I can play on a Web Browser while doing other things, like AIM, Moewrok, iTunes, and of course post on Tip.it 8-) *Edit* LMAO I butchered the word Homework so fix it? lol and its because they 1. got hacked off their own stupidity 2. got lured off their own stupidity 3. Just don't like the way its run ( community, pmods can be a downer too ) or how it plays with glitches, graphics, etc. Thanks for the sig poker! :P
