woodcutplaya
hi im lvl 78 and i think im almost ready for barrows. all i need is 2 prayer lvls and 22 slayer lvls (if im gonna use slayer dart) which wont take too long. it looks really easy my brother does it all the time and he started on wednesday he already got veracs brasserd and dharoks helm oh and karils bottom. all i need right now are prayer pots, sharks and range armor and thats it besides the skill. many people say im almost ready but im not quite sure. please dont post guides on here cus i already have a plan for how to do it. dont suggest guides either. just say if i am or not  ahh the life of a pker...wc lvl:75 wc! Laikrob
Moved this post to the correct forum. Welcome to Tip.It Forums, please take some time to get to know the forums. :) Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now?
yomom1919
i really, really wouldnt reccommend it. i started at lvl 78, i did 11 runs just as a test, got guthans plate at 11th run, then went back to merchanting. if your doing it just to test it out, then go ahead. but if your trying to make money off it, get 100+ cmb and 60+ prayer. along with 70-90 mage. this isnt really all that hard, just go to pest control for a week or three and youll be 100cmb in no time. id also reccomend getting good gear for it first, as theres a 12+ run invo in the archive of wisdom along with methods that let you stay for mutiple runs, which require good gear and some amount of cash. and merchanting isnt all that hard either 10m should only take a week or two, even if you only have 500k. i really wouldnt reccommend it now though. its a little early for money... edit: i just saw your mage too, you really should atleast get 70... apcrump
you could but I'd recomend all cb stats at least 65+ (prayer 59ish) also have a one click teleport out, and you may use a lot of p pots. dont do it if you dont make all your money back
woodcutplaya
i have almost the same stats as my bro and all im gonna do is use mage the whole time. (skayer dart) and he does it with full rune and that works out for him. hes already got veracs brasserd and dharoks helm in 1 day and 10 runs and so i think i can do it too. (once i get 43 prayer and a whle bunch of prayer potions.) its really easy. i used to have a lvl 80+ account who did it all the time. it was my first runescape account though and i dont remember the name. i used wing wave with him cus slayer wasnt out yet. and so i woned with wind wave. also allot of people recomend slayer dart for it and i watch my bro do it with slayer dart. so i might get my str to 70 first (68) and defence to 60 (59) and prayer to 43 (41) and currently i have no weaps or armor so i wont do it untill i get my str up and defence up and maybe my mage 1 lvl and my attack to 65 becasue then ill be lvl 80. stats for lvl 80: attack:65 str:70 defence:60 mage:57 prayer:43 ahh the life of a pker...wc lvl:75 wc! Benoit4whc
i've done it 3 times already at 77 combat. Stats: 64 attack 60 strength 60 defense 51 prayer 62 mage 40 range wear mage robes (any kind), staff, and shield to start. then i have full rune, dragon long, 2000 fires, 400 deaths, 8 prayer pots (just in case, use around 4-5), spade, and the rest is sharks. works great if ahrim isn't your tunnel brother. find a good way to kill ahrim and i'm set 8,539th to 99 cooking!!! meb
43+ prayer 60+ defence 60+ ranging 60+ magic This is the absolute minimum, and you won't profit unless you get an item (wich is very rare). You couldtry it out, but if you want it to be a decent moneymaker you should get this: 60+ Prayer 70+ Defence 70+ Ranging 70+ Magic Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. PhaperPlane
i also havnt done monkey madness yet which is a good thing becasue i have not asted any anti poisons and prayer potions. The Dragon Scimmy is a very useful weapon, its fast, good strength and it owns : But not useful for Barrows due to its special is horrible there A Dragon Long is great in barrows due to its special is great. Get at least 50+ Prayer so you will last longer.

Yeah, right, the guide is horrible -.- And no one said you had to follow a guide exactly; a guide is just that. A guide. Not a walkthrough. And they were simply trying to help you out, no need to insult the maker of the guide. ^^Credit to rooneyrules0 for this awesome sig
chenw
My recommendation is backing up mEb's suggestions, those are by far the most important stats for barrower. However, when you do go barrowing (Unless you dont have any Melee, Ranging or Prayer gear), do NOT wear Mage gear. Mage gear at barrows is next to useless (regardless of what spell you are using, with a possible exception of ancients, which s not a money making method), since their mage defence is so bad that you can hit them well anyway as long as your mage bonus is no lower than say -20. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. Doughnut
If you do decide to do Barrows, BE CAREFUL. I did barrows around 5 times and got cocky, when I went to fight kharils in tunnels I thought he was veracs and well I guess you know what happened. #-o "A time comes when silence is betrayal" MLKJ Speak your mind, but be civil.Get mad, but do not rage.Do unto others as you would want done to yourself. bobbaldrick
I would say that you should get your mage and range up to around 60 to make money, plus at least 50 prayer. And just because your brother got 2 items at barrows in 10 runs doesnt mean you will - you could go 100 runs without getting an item.
