January 9, 200719 yr Ive dropped my PSP LOADS of times and it never broke, compared to my brother breaking his DS because it fell off of his bunk bed onto his vent I can easily get 7-10 hours out of my PSP when watching movies The reason the DS library are all exclusive to it is because Nintendo hasnt made a successful console to share them with up until the Wii The world would be a whole lot better if little green men in UFO's came down to earth to abduct rednecks.
January 9, 200719 yr So the 60 million NES units sold which started all this is a failure? What about the 70 million GameBoys sold? Failure again? So I suppose that makes the 76 million Gameboy Advance's sold are a failure of a console on Nintendo's part again? Take your ignorant fanboy attitude elsewhere.
January 10, 200719 yr The NES came out 20 years ago you twit and noone plays gameboys or gameboy advances anymore The world would be a whole lot better if little green men in UFO's came down to earth to abduct rednecks.
January 10, 200719 yr I have a PSP and played the DS a ton on a band trip. Id choose the PSP over the DS anyday. I think theyre just lame. NS It just goes to show that, though there's an age requirement, there's no IQ requirement to play RS.Wait, my friend said he got a keylogger and lyke he coudln't type, so I assumed it messed up his hands?
January 10, 200719 yr The NES came out 20 years ago you twit and noone plays gameboys or gameboy advances anymore That's why their re-releasing what's considered to be "The Finest Final Fantasy" on the GBA
January 10, 200719 yr The NES came out 20 years ago you twit and noone plays gameboys or gameboy advances anymore I still play my NES and occasionally my Gameboy you twit. You shouldn't jump tp conclusions. And if you'd like a hostory lesson.. Nintendo released the NES in 1985. Sony released the Playstation in 1994. If you'd like a more detailed lesson on all system released to the US by Sony and Nintendo (including launch year and price), just PM me and I'll gladly inform you. Internet Marketing For Newbies
January 10, 200719 yr This seems to be a battle over which games are best so, because no one seems to be sensible enough to actually look at the games coming out here are a couple lists: http://www.nintendo.com/gamelist?sf=Nintendo+DS 289 games in the list, includes many games coming out in the near future. And do not forget the fact that the DS can also play Game Boy Advance games, which is a also a major boost to the selection of games, so heres a list of GBA games: http://www.nintendo.com/gamelist?sf=Game+Boy+Advance 975 games, also including games coming out in the near future. That comes to a grand total of: 1264 games. And if you would look through the lists you will see a combination of games created for older players, children, and classic gamers, puzzle, action, racing, ect. Now lets look at the PSP list of games: http://www.gamespot.com/games.html?type ... ortdir=asc As with the above lists this also comes with games to come out soon, and now that I look through it, its got several games I wouldn't mind trying out, though basically nothing interesting at the moment. It is very limited on titles for children, though there are a few. (I love the idea of bringing Earthworm Jim back  ) I see several computer games coming out for it that never seemed to be made for other gaming consols, especially handhelds, such as Sid Meier's Pirates, Dungeon siege, and Black and White, though they are popular computer games, we have yet to see them out for smaller consols. I'd say it will be a close match toward the end of things, though right now the DS has dominance. ~^v^~Ex-Leader of the Divine Flames of Redemption~^v^~
January 10, 200719 yr Here's the main negatives of having PSP as a handheld gaming option: - Size. It is bigger and wider than the DS (thus heavier) - Price. It costs much more than the DS - Time. Its games have horrible load times compared to the DS The actual gameplay, game library, etc. isn't even needed to be taken into account at all. Oh, and DS' disruptive technology plays a huge part in its success. Same reason why Wii is a success :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
January 10, 200719 yr The NES came out 20 years ago you twit and noone plays gameboys or gameboy advances anymore The point I was making is that Nintendo have had several successful consoles, yet you thought otherwise. I was just pointing out the fact that you were wrong.
January 10, 200719 yr The NES came out 20 years ago you twit and noone plays gameboys or gameboy advances anymore Gameboy Advance games are still being produced and sold regularly... You crampin' my style.
January 10, 200719 yr of course PSP i ahve one its cool i dont think DS can play movies, music, go to internet by wireless also DS games are crappy and are for kids like the sonic and mario thing they are for children PSP video quality is hell better
January 10, 200719 yr i dont think DS can play movies, music, go to internet by wireless Shows how much you know. also DS games are crappy and are for kids like the sonic and mario thing they are for children Again, I refer back to what I said about caring about who games are 'for'. You must be very insecure. You feel the need to play games for 'adults' even though I assume you are a child. Are you trying to prove something by doing that?

Are you trying to prove something by doing that? i mean what i say and im meaning that those games are for kids.... people aged 13+ shouldnt buy a DS its only games for kids as i said because the story and the graphics make you feel like you play a kids game not a game like final fantasy or others.
January 10, 200719 yr How old are you? I need to enquire as to how old you are to proceed with the rest of this line of discussion.
January 10, 200719 yr you don't get FF in PSP becasue there FF3 is on DS right now must wait for pokemon diamound/pearl!!!!! PSP have a way better libary plus it has PSX emulater, you can play PSX games on PSP. YES, YOU CAN PLAY FINAL FANTASY 9
January 10, 200719 yr How old are you? I need to enquire as to how old you are to proceed with the rest of this line of discussion. im 100 years old does that makes difference?
January 10, 200719 yr It makes a difference because you are disparaging games for children yet you are a child. You are desperate to play 'adult' games to show how grown up you are, rather than focusing on playing games that are fun. However, in truth it doesn't matter whether games are 'for children' or not. Just as it doesn't matter if they're 'for boys' or 'for girls'. I am an adult male yet I very much enjoy playing games which have been accused of being for both children and girls on this topic - presumably BY children. The same goes for my other adult male friends who enjoy playing the same games - it all just goes to show that you are flat out wrong in your assertions that a) they are for children/girls and B) it matters who they are 'for'.
January 10, 200719 yr well i think wasting $50 for a crappy game different from spending $50 on a good game like GTA
January 10, 200719 yr Ahh yes, 'crappy' games that, as of September 2006, have sold more than 193 million units. It seems you are in the minority in thinking they are 'crappy', so using that as an argument against the platform is flawed.
January 10, 200719 yr well i think wasting $50 for a crappy game different from spending $50 on a good game like GTAI find that amusing since I find GTA to be on the crappy side; but I don't use my distaste in the range of games to disregard an entire system as being under another.

The Nintendo handheld business has been going on for much longer than the PSP. What's the old saying? Oh, "quality not quantity". I'd much rather have one good MGS game for my PSP than be stranded with 50+ Mario games for DS. I also like how you neglected to post the number of PSP games. Good psychology. Oh, and DS' disruptive technology plays a huge part in its success. Same reason why Wii is a success I like how you gave no measurements or values of any of this. Size - It's about a whole ~2 cm wider and taller. OH TEH NOES I CANUT LIFT TEH 5g MORE!!!11 Prize - PSP = ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã150. DS Lite = ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã99. ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã60 for 4 extra options, more graphics and regular updates? Sold. - Time. Although I have never played a DS, the loading times for a friends one didn't seem that much faster than a PSP. Roughly, i'd say to load up MGA:2 on my PSP takes ~25 seconds. Then a level load will take ~10 seconds more. That's not really a whole lot. Atleast compared to old gameboys.

You obviously didn't even look through the list of games... -.- Wait, I didn't post the number of PSP games? I'm sorry, maybe you should have actually gone to the site I pointed out and looked for yourself. Whats the point of me posting these links if those who are argueing don't even go to actually look through them, yet argue with them anyways? My point was not in the number of games, it was in the games themselves, otherwise I wouldn't have even bothered giving a list of them. And I also would like to point out the handful of games that are out now for the PSP maybe only 1, 2 at the most, that actually look any good at all, now what is missing quality again? Sure, in the future it will be a great system, but right now its nowhere near worth the price its going for. Btw, there are 631 PSP games. ~^v^~Ex-Leader of the Divine Flames of Redemption~^v^~
