Celestrana
Hi Tip.Iters! I'm trying to organize a temple building event to get some holy oil. To keep it short, I need a team of 10 or more participants who has completed the Shades of Mort'ton quest. If you need to build the temple to complete the quest, go ahead and sign up :) If you're interested in getting some Holy Oil (or just to complete the quest), I'd like to hold the temple build on Friday (Jan 19th) at 8pm (GMT -5) on World 115. Meet in Mort'ton near Razmire's house (guy that sells supplies). So if you're interested in the event, post a reply! If you're a temple building veteren, post some advice for the novices. See you all at the event, and happy Scaping! :) Knowledge is Power; a Tip.it guide answers many commonly asked questions.~Celestrana: Making of a Hero ~ (Visit my blog, today!) Celestrana
( Copied from post "Need help with quest:: Shades of Mort'ton" ) I'll help, I've already finished the quest, but why not make some of that oil and gain some prayer levels? Anyway, you should change your title. Yeah... this *I think* is the right place. Malhavok
May be busy but can give advice. Take turns fighting off shades and repairing the temple. Don't be a newb like me and complete the quest and split. Be courteous to others and hang around longer. For those building the temple for quest, make sure you are at the point where you are ready to rebuild the temple. Bring money for supplies. A gadderhammer works well on shades. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !
mchainmail
I'll try and be there. If you can, pm me before the event. I'm really close to the end of shades of Morton.
LJoker
I don't want to spoil the event, but since this is posted on Help and Advice I may do the sujection of: - Usualy you can find lots of players building that temple on world 2 and sometimes on world 6. It's a very nice way of training crafting while bulting it.

Gugge
This is from another topic a few months ago /irrelevant part cut out/ Other option is to get a few friends together and pick your own world. To do this you need minimum 4 persons with decent crafting levels and flametear hammers who take turns to run for oil/bank. Teamwork and communication is crucical if you only are 4 persons - 3 persons need to stay at the temple building and killing shades, and not leave until 4th person comes back. We did this last weekend and had it going for over 5 hours (I made almost 400 oil). We had a great time, you get very nice crafting exp and can chat with your friends without distraction :) Quest "in aid of the myreque" makes it a LOT easier since it gives access to Burgh de Rott bank. Also keep in mind, its the temple building/sacrifying oil that require team work. Once you have the oil, the shade killing and burning is something you can do on your own. When looting the chests, remember to acutally click continue on the message "you find some treasure" - that way you have chances to find a good amount of swamp paste at the bottom of the chests :) So it is possible to do it with 4 persons *if* all 4 have crafting levels 70+ and flametaer hammers. With lower crafting levels and without flametaer hammers you need more people. Start it out with your whole team building to get the temple up. Then have at least 2-3 persons reinforcing the temple all the time while 1-2 persons fight shades. The most important is communication: to take turns in leaving the temple for doing parts of quest or bank runs. The ones who build need to keep building/reinforcing until someone else replaces them. Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)

It's sort of ironic that I started a similar post in the Events forum, have it moved to the General Help and Advice forum, I repost it as the current forum thread then have it moved back to the Events forum. Oh well, I'm a Tip.It forum newb so you vets know best :) Thanks for the advice, Gugge. I only have lvl 62 crafting and I've already purchased the flamtaer hammer. If the crafting levels of the event participants vary from level 40 to 60 then I think I'll need a minimum of 7 to 10 people, right? johnson442
I'll join the party! I've read the advice about "go to world 2". The only time I can even get on world 2 is either late on Sunday night, or 2-3 AM -sometimes- during the week! And then at some point (everybody's bedtime, perhaps), the place is suddenly deserted! So, yeah, I'll be there! Note on using gadderhammer:I've tried it, and compared it to the ddp++. The dagger is a weapon of mass destruction compared to the hammer!
