kido14
Okay, so, I have this big science project due on Monday, I actually got the information for the report in december, but I have been putting it off until now. I can still do it (almost done) but I can't stop procrastinating on a lot of things. Is there anything I can do to fight it or abolish it (in a sense)? Help! Some advice. Well it's obviously much easier said than done (I couldn't do it), but you really do need to work on your work ethic. Trust me, in highschool, you do not want to procrastinate. You will regret it during/after the application process for college. As for giving you advice about how to NOT procrastinate, I'm not really qualified to offer any so, sorry =P. Agunimon979
**Sorry if there is already a topic on this, I did a search...** Okay, so, I have this big science project due on Monday, I actually got the information for the report in december, but I have been putting it off until now. I can still do it (almost done) but I can't stop procrastinating on a lot of things. Is there anything I can do to fight it or abolish it (in a sense)? Help! Do what I do. Let your procrastination do it's work. I do it on the last day before it's due. I get it done, and I get a grade. Thats how I let my procrastination work. Remember, it'll only work if you let it work.
deloriagod
I procrastinate all the time. Right now I should be doing my homework and writing a note to my gf (yeah, we write notes a lot. Great way to use up a boring class) but I'm here. A lot of times I procrastinate to the point that I can't get things done and it becomes a problem once in a while.. Celt23
I've been procastinating on completing the new penguin quest. I got halfway through it a week ago and haven't done it since. I really should do it before the next quest comes out because I got a quest cape, but I just cannot exert the energy to do it.

zeekyhbomb
I always procrastinate, do my projects the weekend before, my homework in the morning or in earlier periods, etc. I can normally do it, but if I don't, I do sometimes have to cheat off a friends to get that A on the damn paper. I see it this way, if I understand the assignment and get an A on the tests, then a bit of cheating here and there won't hurt me much.

Obsessive_Passion
I procrastinate a lot, too. So I learn to incorporate that into my study. I'll do maths homework for an hour or so, then take a break and play RS or whatsoever, then go back to study, etc. So rather than procrastinating for 2 hours, then start working non-stop for another 5 hours, I balance it out. I get distracted easily, even by the music I'm listening to. So I learn to deal with it, not dismiss it. I think.
ctp080188
Tick lists work wonders for me. When a task is completed, I get to tick it off! Woohoo! :D Satisfaction of that tick gets me so excited lol. SHH HUT YUH MUH. DERKHED.
lawrencekill
Bleh I'm a procrastinator too. sorta... The first thing above all is an environment that suits you where you can work is. That is very, very, important. It's pretty hard to work when someone in the room next to you is arguing with someone else *cough parents and brother cough*. Next is yourself, can't give good tips about that... Remember, you play a really big part in procrastination, but fighting it when you're in a bad environment is a bad idea. Try to go to the library to work, helps me.
Adam007
Read some of these articles: http://www.stevepavlina.com/articles/ov ... nation.htm http://www.stevepavlina.com/articles/do-it-now.htm http://www.stevepavlina.com/articles/ti ... gement.htm http://www.stevepavlina.com/articles/tr ... tivity.htm http://www.stevepavlina.com/articles/ef ... -usage.htm Seriously though, give em a read.
