Madder_Atkha
Hello, I am Madder Atkha and I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this thread. If you do read this thread I would appreciate it if you posted with your feedback on the idea so I can see what the general opinion is about this idea. If anyone has a better idea for the title of this I would appreciate it. This suggestion is written fairly closely to the format that I plan to post it in the Official Runescape Forums which is why there are no pictures. In it I plan to outline a few fairly large suggestions that I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve been working on for a while. I am going to need 35 posts (roughly) to put up my entire thread so please do not post until I give you the go ahead. This thread will be posted on the Runescape official forums at such a point in time where I am a member and will remain for a sufficient length of time to manage this thread. Please note all ideas expressed in this thread are my own unless stated so and are copyright to me. The usual forum rules apply so no flaming, spamming and what not. Will someone please provide me with either High Alch values or shop prices for the following: ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Granite Shield & Maul ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Bone Items ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Dragon Spear ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Initiate Armour ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Proselyte Armour ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ All Defenders ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ All Metal Boots ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Seercull Bow ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ All Metal Crossbows ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ All Darts ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Full Snakeskin Armour ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Ancient Magicks Staff ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Ghostly Robes ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Elemental Helm & Shield ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Mind Helm & Shield ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Lunar Robes Now that all that̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s out of the way on to my first suggestion. The Entrance Of Golden Dragons To put it simply I am suggesting the entrance of Golden Dragons to the land of Gielinor. I realise this has been suggested numerous times before but I have my own views on how this should be done. The start of the entrance in of the Golden Dragons to Gielinor is a quest, of course. I haven̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t thought of a name for this quest yet as I don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t want something obvious or corny like ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅThe Golden Dragons̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâà
Theoknight2
everything seems good... except for armor degrading. That would suck *beep*.
pansynator
Wow. How long did it take you to write that!? I like alot of the ideas, although a few have been talked about before. ---Do not ask God for an easy life. bubbels
the new dragonhide armor is far too powerful compared to the level required to wield it. as karil armor is reward from highly dangerous and hard minigame, and having same requirements, how the hell could the new armor be over 150% of their bonuses? lets look at the boots and coif. coif giving what, 12 range bonus that would be just way too big bonus compared to third age coif, giving 9+ range. nobody would be wearing this, speaking of robin hood hat. excounting pures. how about the boots? 18 freaking bonus? thats over doubled compared to ranger boots, requiring maybe lower ranged and def, but still rare reward from clue. if you want true support from masses, create something reasonable. yes, the requirements include hard quests, but still. jagex wont make anything easy to get- armoury with overage stats. Madder_Atkha
KK First thanks for reading it. Theoknight and Pansy I've added you to the supporters list. Pansy could you specify if you didn't support any so you don't end up on the wrong list? Theoknight I'm not surprised you don't like the armour and weapon degrading - its the one I felt would get the most flaming. Bubbels I made a mistake in typing this, I had intended the armour for 80 range and defence. Maybe it is still too powerful for that level but I thought it fitted the pattern. I'll have another look at the stats and might lower them a bit. But what did you think of the other ideas?
Madder_Atkha
Bubbels I had another look at the armour stats and you were right - they are far to powerful, even for 80 range and defence. I've changed the values so that they're lower. I realise they might still seem to strong but please take into account the two extra pieces of armour which Karil's doesn't have. Here are the new values:
jondea0
the kbd claws are a mint suggestion also i think you shoud be able to poison them but only with a venom sac, this could be droped by the kbd and is as good as superpoison. im not sure about the other things discuss a combat reformation
Madder_Atkha
Jondea the KBD claws are poisened when you get them and it hits an 8 making it stronger than super poison. Thanks for your support on them but what was the problem with the other things? I'd like to know to see about fixing it.

ruilex
i like everything but degrading but i would like it if you can just melt it down down and remake it and make it you can also get blunt weapons and dented armor when smithing it so u have to melt it down again and try again
Abyssalwhip
*looks at skill reqs* Bye bye quest cape *alchs it and drops hood* Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? Madder_Atkha
Thanks for your support Bubbels and Ruilex. Ruilex it doesn't make sense that if you were smithing something you would make it damaged. I mean if your going to all the bother of doing it your going to do it right. Plus although some people mightn't like the idea of armour degrading most likely a lot more would like the idea of failing to do something correctly that they actively set out to do. As for melting stuff down and resmithing them, the main problem with that is that you could use 1 thing continuously train your skills and thus avoid the need for a new source of ores. ryno258
i support all except the degrading and with the crystal would u be able to charge your bow and shield :?:
Madder_Atkha
Thanks for your support Ryno. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to recharge your bow. Maybe not for free but at a discounted price the same why yo do with barrows. Abyssal Whip what's wrong with the skill requirements? I said they were for high level players so why do you seem surprised when the skill requirements are actually high? And did you read the rest of the post to see why the requirements are so high? If so can you give me some feedback on the whole thread and not just one section of it?

DRUMINATOR17
ill be perfectly honest with you... 1) this is a long read and i have better ways to spend my free time so yes first of i did not read your ENTIRE Post...(like many other posters im sure) 2) the rewards for the completeion of this quest is about how far i got to..and upon seeing it is where i stopped reading and made this post and read a few other peoples as well Jagex More likely then not will never introduce armor stronger then barrows into the game as with approiate lvls and and potions players are already able to do far more damage and kill more monsters per trip then im sure jagex intended them to. also what the heck is that with the genie lamps giving 100 times exp to lvl skills faster??? i mean honestly whats the point in playing the game anymore then people already keep getting updates every week that make this game even easier...and you want to up that factor still more? Thats quite proposterous in my mind. Although i love your attempt at doing a really nice high lvl guide and i see you clearly put a lot of good and hard work into this...im afraid that i have to say that im not seeing it happen anytime soon or ever really. ~DRUM CLICK - 770th to 99 SLAYER 2/4/08 - 204th to 99 Summoning 7/1/08 CLICK[Hide=List of Drops That I haven't updated in Years but want to keep in my Sig anyways...]VISAGE DROP - 12/06/073 Duo Sara Hilts, 3 Duo Arma Hilts, 2 Trio Arma Hilts.Dark Bows: (11) Dragon Boots: (50!)Whip Drops: (42!!!) ember3579
i personally like all the ideas.the armor degrading im not a big fan of, but it would be logical.maybe make it where you need 1-2 bars of the same metal as the equipment to fix it yerself on an anvil (optional)?this would give smithing exp but wouldnt be as convenient as taking the equipment to an npc.[rant]the only real problem is would the same 2 armors with different stages in degradation still be stackable?bank space on f2p is tight as it is!although, if jagex would just give 1-3 more rows, that shouldnt be much of a problem.[/rant]its an overall exellent idea, very well thought out! Madder_Atkha
Thanks for your support Spatulus, Sky Assasin and Ember. Ember I'm not really sure whether or not it would be stackable - if they use the same system as Barrows I think it will be because the info is stored on your player profile and not the item. However if they go the way of the satchels and tea thingy then no they wouldn't stack and Jagex would need to provide some more space for F2P if this occurred. I don't think you should be able to repair on a normal anvil for just a few bars because this removes the money drain aspect of it. However it is logical that you would need more of the same material to repair it so maybe. Druminator I think you're being a bit stupid in suggesting that Jagex will never go past the limits of Barrows Armour - sooner or later they are going to need to start building up a dedicated fanbase who will stick with the game and that means providing for them when they reach higher levels. As well as this I think it is the set effect which give Barrow's its edge (although some are a bit stupid) and this is what will keep the armour popular - as well as the need to do a high level quest for the other armours. And if we are able to kill faster than Jagex wants then why don't they introduce some new monsters that will attract people to killing them but aren't as easy as current ones? I admit the genie thing was a bit weird but 10x xp is useless beyond Level 40 or so. Hence I thought that making genies a semi-useful random might be something to suggest. Montezuma
This does seem like a good idea over all. Don't add me to the supporters list though because I am a non-member. superspoon2
Instead of Crystal Singing make it something like a mage spell or a series of tasks, like making the rod of ivandis. you might need to get one of the elves to enchant it then use lvl 5 enchant to make the armour/items. For the quest, have something to do with the storyline like 'corruption of Gleinor' or around that. 98% Of teenagers surround their minds with rap music, if you're part of the 2% that stayed with rock, put this in your signature, ROCK IS BETTER!
