How do you deal with people like this?

My bf and I were in Catherby farming and minding our own business and some kid starts harrassing us because we have similar names and are both female chars. No biggie. I just ignored him in normal chat, but then he whispered me and the following happened:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This kid pulled this stunt AFTER my bf told someone in normal chat that I am his gf...pffft.

 

 

 

I said I would post this here so his gf can see that I was not lying about the little dog hitting on me so if anyone knows Justiceonce...pass the word on, her bf is a lying dog.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How are we supposed to deal with people like this? Only thing I can think of is publically humiliating them by showing everyone that they are lying and trying to start problems, harrassing, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Any other advice gladly accepted, but chat off is not an option. I am a strong believer in trying to help lower level people when they have questions about the game and I can not do that if I can't see them talking. :(

Usually not, but if you read the chat log, she asked for permission to post it here. I believe you're allowed to then.

I don't mean to be harsh, but, this is less interesting to the rest of us then it is to you.

 

 

 

There is really very little reason to post soap operas here...

You don't have to "deal" with them at all.

 

 

 

I always put idiots on ignore as soon as they say the first stupid thing.

 

 

 

I see no reason to allow them to "burden" my RS play time with their emotional problems.

Use the Ignore player feature of the game.

Then use Ignore, you will still see other player comments.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm amazed that you spent as much time talking to that player as you did.

 

 

 

Some players are "trolls". That is, they say things just to make you mad.

 

 

 

They find entertainment in watching you get mad.

 

 

 

Just Ignore them and get back to enjoying your RS play time.

Yes, no naming names please. There's absolutely nothing you can do other than ignore him anyway. Or just switch worlds and chances are, you'll never see him again.
