There are soo many questions that come to mind here. So anybody can ask a question or submit an answer an i will put it on the first page. Let the questions begin!! Q. whats with the polar bears? and the smoke? are they there to protect the island? What are they protecting? Q. why are all the hatches there.. is it an experiment island that the people on the other island watch? Q. Why the hell is there a big [wagon] electromagnet on the island? Q. Why did the explosion not kill anybody? Q. why did the others kidnap jack.. it can't be because of the operation because they would release jack but they don't! Q. why are the others being held there against their will? Q. what happened to the kids that were kidnaped in episode 2? Q. what is all this about about the russian people at the south pole detcting the magnetic thing twice.. and was that desmonds wife they phoned(last episode in series 2)? Q. Why did Desmond sail away only to come back to the island and say that it never ends... its like a snow globe? i cant think of anymore now... There is some sort of medical experiment going on where each hatch watches the other hatch, maybe a new drug experimentation. Q. Why the hell is there a big [wagon] electromagnet on the island? Seeing the episode where Desmond meets the lady who tells him it;s his fate to save the word shows that the electro magnet if it didn't explode would have destroyed the world. Maybe it was used to affect people on the island. Like Locke beleives that if you respect the island it will respect you. Maybe it produces some try of force. Q. Thats a tough one, no one knows if it was an explosion of not, just looks like white light :o Q. why did the others kidnap jack.. it can't be because of the operation because they would release jack but they don't! They said they kidnapped him because a doctor fell out of the sky when he was about to die, I think thats plausiable. Q. why are the others being held there against their will? Because they know about the others? Q. what happened to the kids that were kidnaped in episode 2? Thats not his wife but his girlfriend, who appears to be looking for him. Q. Why did Desmond sail away only to come back to the island and say that it never ends... its like a snow globe? I think because the magnetic force pulled him back. i cant think of anymore now... With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. Some of the Tailies that were captured are coming back in this episode, and from the preview it looks like they didn't even know they were taken. fat_hobbit22 Posted February 21, 2007 Author Share Posted February 21, 2007 we know why desmond is there.. thats to save the wolrd by pushiing the buttons, but why is there something there that could destroy the world... good theory about him not being able to sail away though i must say =D> i got a new question everyone Q. are the numbers that you have to enter into the mnachine, and special numbers? do the numbers mean anything irl. :-k Q. in epsiode 2, where we see desmond in the hatch with the guy who is now with the tohers, desmond and the other guy stop the machine, and the blast doors come down, they draw a map and stuff... so the other guy knew about the other hatches... how? why? why are there blast doors? when the blast doors came down because they short circuited the thingy... did it not stop the counter? if it did stop it how comes the electromagnet thing didn't low up then :-s anyone else have any questions? In the previews that played at the end of last weeks episode they said three questions in "Lost" would be answered. Turns out the three questions they were talking about were the three questions Jack asked Alex. The previews made it seem like it was supposed to be some huge thing. That really pissed me off. Well, when he went out exploring, he needed someone to stay behind and push the button, and that was Desomnd. He wore the HAZMAT suit while Des was his partner, but maybe not when Radzinsky(his old partner) was still with him. Well tonights episode was a huge disappointment. I get the feeling that the writers are running out of material for Jack. "A tale of two cities" was the worst flashback ever; absolutely nothing happened. I was hoping Jack would get killed of in last night's episode, but he didn't. Oh well. Next week is a Hurley episode, and those are always good. Good, he's been largely ignored so far this season. Yeah, I agree this weeks was better. As I said above I was really disappointed in the week before episode because it failed to live up to what all the previews were saying, that we would get three answers, must see episode of the season ect... Turns out the writers didn't even know about all that, that was just the advertisers building it up. Anyways, even though this weeks episode was good, it still dropped down on my favourite list. Yep, definitely getting a little frustrating. If this was the end of season 1 I would have said get the DVDs and get caught up, because even though we didn't have all that many answers it seemed to be going in the direction pretty well. As it stands now though I would suggest waiting till all five or so seasons are up and then ask to see if you should even bother with it or not.
