The New PS3 and Xbox360, Next Gen For The Gaming Industry?

I don't know if this has been posted before which more then likely has, but I've seen clips, read reviews, viewed screenshots of new games coming out for ps3 and xbox360. I must say the they've stepped up in the gaming industry by a longshot!

The games that will come out seem to have more a movie theme to it, that's the feel you'll get when watching trailors of the new games to come. Life for example; Alan Wake, new game coming out for ps3, the graphics kick butt and I think it will be a hit once the word gets around. I'll let you guys take a look for yourselves, one of the most improved games to come that has already been known to us all, Resident Evil and for those sports gamers Madden Nfl 2006 ( or Next Gen; they say it's a working titles so it's not for sure yet )

Yeah, I've heard :D But I don't think the ps3 will be a waste, sony and ea sports new fight night 2006 will be a blast :shock: the characters emotions in-game are more real then ever. I'd love to challenge someone online when that comes out :twisted: beat the $@%! out of them and see it all in their players face.

i probably wont end up getting any of them, there is a possibility of getting a nintendo revolution, and a small possibility of a ps3, and none of getting a box, but most likely i wont get anything. my computer works just fine :D

HELL YA! BTW, i heard somewhere on tv, that some games are gonna be free to play live, while other you need to pay, and there is a premium version where you get better stuff either way.

360. It has oblivion, perfect dark, resident evil 5, halo 3,and those mistwalker rpgs from the creater of final fantasy.

I might consider getting a revolution or ps3 after a couple price drops.

Around $300 for the console, Maybe $80 for 2 controllers, $30 or so for a headset (if we'll need a new one), $65 or so for Xbox Live resubscription (Ends in November meaning new GT :) ), $30 for a memory card, and the rest for games like Ghost Recon 3 and some of the other biggies. Can't wait for "Halo 3", of course :D .

Heh..I'm getting set for madden nfl 2006 online play, I don't want any disc glitchers dissconnecting from the game after I score about 5 touchdowns in the 1st half of play :?

Oh and the new resident evil is sure to put to you on the edge of your seats from what I saw, don't know why they took the trailer off but the zombies move so much faster then the previous versions...like a herd of rampaging buffalo except undead humans moving at good fast speed.

I've never played a FF series a day in my life, I don't know why but I never really liked console rpg's that much. They never really captured the roleplay the way pc rpg's do. I'll never know how FF is until I try it so I might give it a go.

Lmao, yea i'm definately sold on the 360.

I'm not sure if I will buy a console, because I still have $800 to go on this computer I'm using, and I'm broke. If I do get one, it will probably be the Nintendo Revolution, for two reasons: 1- Backwards compatibility with my Gamecube games (atm I have 6, probably 10 by the time I would buy a Rev), and 2- Super Smash Bros. Revolution. I don't like to use clicḫ̩̉̉s, but 'nuff said :wink:

I am definately getting the 360. I think the fact that the 360 is going to beat all of the other consoles out will really hurt them. I think this is where Xbox is going to really stand out over the other machines.

Fable on Xbox sucks===>On pc it's complete on Xbox not..so fable on xbox is completed very fast...on pc you have alot more!

Man, I'm not getting either of those consoles even if I wanted one. They're way too expensive. Xbox 360 is definately going to be at least 300 dollars. And the PS3 at least 400 dollars. :? I'm going to get a PSTwo (the new slim PS2) sometime when the PS3 is released because people will be selling theirs so I'll be able to find second-hand ones real cheap. :D As for 'next-gen', I'm definately getting a Nintendo Revolution. For two reasons, a) Next-gen Zelda and Mario and B) Download NES, SNES, N64 games. I've always wanted to play the original Legend of Zelda on the NES (I have a NES but I can't be bothered to find one for sale) aaaaand I wanna play all those other Zelda games on the SNES and stuff. And there's so many I wanna play. And of course the Revolution can take Gamecube discs too. :D It's gonna be awesome.

I think the Rev will be priced at 200 dollars. At least, I hope so.

PS3 and the Xbox 360 are not revolutionary. They have better graphics and more power than their former consoles, thats all. Its funny how the the console thats shaping up to be most revolutionary isn't even in your title. Nintendo haven't released any specs on the controller design, so they must have something up their sleeves....

Well, I'm not sure, but the Rev is going to be very weak in comparison to Xbox 360 and PS3, which is just fine by me as long as it's just plain prettier than the Gamecube. According to Nintendo their console will be small, quiet and cheap. It's definately not going to be 300 dollars. How much the Rev will cost is going to depend on the Xbox 360 and PS3 pricing but I really think it's going to be 200 dollars.

Fable expansion is coming out for the current xbox in the fall, therefore COMPLETING Fable just like the game for pc...
