July 8th - Leaving RuneScape

Welcome to my blog. Some of you know me others do not. I used to be a very active poster and arguably the most prolific guide writer in tip.it history. Keep in mind this was before the knowledge base, when guide writing was not just a challenge but a necessary task. What does this do? How much exp does this give? I wrote the web's first ancient magicks guide. I wrote the web's first farming guide. I wrote many other guides for tip.it and suggested many features. So why did I leave? Firstly, runescape was becoming somewhat repetitive. I played almost solely for updates and tet events. So I spent all my time on those. I wrote wonderful guides. So what happened? Firstly there is one crewbie whom I will not name that was very rude to me. I felt as if I was not receiving credit for my work. So I removed my guides from the forums and made my own site. I was banned for one month and removed from the tet. I've kept tabs on whats gone on since and things have fallen into disarray. Second, I began high school and a new part time job leaving little time for RuneScape. I was gone.

So are you coming back or continuing this diary? Or just putting up a monument about how you're supposively a self-proclaimed legend of a guide writer. You mighta been good at them - you might have just had the will to spend the time on them - either way, if you're that legendary, you don't need to proclaim it yourself. Oh, and lastly, nothing on tip it ever fell into disarray.

Oh, and I really don't mean to be insulting, really I don't, but your quote of me was slightly sarcastic when I said that. Not that you're not a good guide writer - just that you just don't generally make such bold proclamations saying you're a better guide writer than anyone out there.

Unless you purposely put it there out of context. Oh, and also, it's july right now, not june.

Some people think that it is cool to rag on others, for shame. I dont post in your blogs telling you that you suck. Anyways, it doesnt matter. Lets look at an enlightened post by one of my loyal readers:

Lets take a look at this post shall we? First off, the poster. Striker6, have you heard of him? I personally get him confused with the 5 other Strikers out there. In any event, I like how he precedes his offensive comment by saying 'No offence'. No offense Striker6 but I always thought that 'offence' was spelt 'offense'. Even if you somehow managed to spell your hate mail right you would still be wrong. Your post is a bit like if I were to say: No offense but your mom is fat and ugly and clearly the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. You then go on to say that the essence of my blog is: "I am great, everybody look at me." Great job there Sherlock. Did you have to bring in Scooby Doo and the gang to help you out with that one?

I'll say it again in case people weren't paying attention.

Thanks for that insight! Your stats and bank are good. I'm not a skilling member anymore so I cant touch that.

You may have more tip.it credits than me, but I wrote quality over quantity every time (instead of stolen ghost-written crap).

By the way, has anyone seen a guide to last week's update yet?

Fair enough Wise, that's how you feel, i'll let you feel like that...

Woah, your ego so big I can't breathe. Just because your not the best dosen't mean that you have to bring everyone else down. I refuse to argue with you because like a wise old man once said, "Don't argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level and beat you." Just the fact that you quoted Adam out of text means your desperate for something, anything that will get you some status again. I personally will use a RuneHQ guide instead of one of yours next time you right one, because they don't go parading around saying how they're the best and quoting people out of context so they can brag about themselves on an online forum..

If you want credit for being a good writer, that's cool, you wrote good guides, you have talent but that dosen't give you the right to make a post about how you are returning and about how you are the greatest thing since sliced bread, because you aren't. KS Jeppe just showed you up, she has written more guides then you, he has a batter bank and stats... Just because some of them were suggested by others, he should still get credit. Also, you mentioned they are being maintained by others, well all they have to do is make sure they stay up to date, and that all the words are spelled correctly. The majority of the work was still done by KS, and there is nothing you can do about that, unless you get your hands on a time machine and go back in time and murder KS...

So ethier leave, or give credit to the people that deserve it and defalte your ego, because nobody wants to hear it =;.

Wise, if you want to post here to crow about your achievements, fine, we have no objections to it. You have every right to do so. But please, if people feel that you're grandstanding and want to comment on it, they have every right to do so as well. You opened that door when you started this thread.

But do not, I repeat do NOT, start attacking this site or its staff in the process, or we will lock this thread and take whatever action we feel is necessary. You've crossed that line once already, don't do it again.

You know what I hate? The Tip.It Times. Not the idea of the column of course, but the editor. He takes pot-shots at stuff from behind a veil of anonymousness (like in Biased Banning Raises Brows), a real man would say who writes these articles. I'm not masking who I am. Most of the time his articles are nothing more than re-hashing the runescape.com news page. Thanks, but no thanks.

I mean, everyone is entitled to their opinion but why is that blog front-page news?

I think you only hate it because you don't write it... I enjoy it personally, because they take a look at the issues in rs. You don't have to read, enjoy or even think about it but because of this thread, I doubt you will ever get a chance to write one word in it, I sure hope so anyway.
