ganondorf656
Ganondorf656's Pixel Guide I got to start somewhere so lets start with drawing a human and than the other things we need will come soon. (I use MS paint in this guide and it can be found on almost every computer) We will start with a line figure of the person and than roughly draw the rest of him. Than u gonna make it anatomy correct it can be handy to know a bit about it. http://www.xosize.com.au/images/content/anteriorMuscle.jpg After that u got to clean the linework. Like this. After that it could look something like this here the same steps but than someone with armor on. And than we come to colloring and shading Lets start with collors in paint. Doubbleclick on the collor u want to change and than te first screen will pop up. Click on Define Custom Colors>> and than at 1 u can change the collors, and at 2 the darkness. And now something about shading, shading means using lighter and darker collors to add shadow and texture. Like a sphere, ill start with the darker collors but u can also start with the light collors. (1). An exampl how to shade a sphere (2). The last step is dithering what u use when the collors dont run over in each other. And at (3) u can create new collors by combining 2. U can also use shading to create textures, like wood. And now to shade something il take the guy with the armor and shaded him(didnt worked really good) but u will get the idea. And than i gave him some weapons. And to continue with shading something about fabrics. Becouse thats nog round or flat its, so the light changes there are shadows and highlights. Here are 2 examples. if u finished ur character(s) u only need a background, it could be something like this. and here the whole work of creating a pixel ava. MS paint tricks: I got these things from different people. Perfect shapes. By holding shift u can create perfect sqaures, circels and lines. And now the secret 10X IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve got no idea why but it is there. When u at the zoom screen click just at the bottom of it u go to 10X zoom And now the Grid and the Thumbnail They are at view>zoom (u can only switch them when zoomed in) And another one not real hady but when u got something selected hold shift and it keeps copieing it And now the most usefull one, with the eraser u can change a collor without changing the whole thing. The collor u want to change in te first spot and the collor u want to change it in in the second spot and than use the right button. ©®Ganondorf All the pixel art in this guide is made by me so Rip and RIP(u may use the 2 line arts at he beginning for practice) the guide isnt finished yet so please say im anything isnt clear. Just to let u know i'm not english so there are probably alot of mistakes in this tekst :| so please correct them.

Dire_Wolf
How do you change the eraser colour? And did you use pencil or a brush to draw the body in first tutorial? Also: do you use human anatomy closely when you draw the position of a stickman/then build it up?

hiimben
Thruitall - Don't be a douche, you aren't right in this situation. He can bump the topic if he adds to the discussion, he posed a question relevant, so it's fine. You change the eraser colour by right clicking the desired colour. When drawing in paint, you should use the pencil tool. When drawing a person. You do the stick figure in the general position you want it in, with proportions and that as close to correct as possible, then build it up using more precise anatomy.
