Trawler world
More than ANYTHING we need a games room world. I'm sick of having to switch to 100 different worlds when I want to play checkers with someone.

-= A Momentous Occasion =-
Today marks my 250th barrows run. I've logged out right before opening the chest so I can tell all of you this. I've had some good times with barrows, and some not so good times. I've spent alot of money and made alot of money. I've spent alot of time, and haven't made any more of that. :? I've tried pking, I've tried merchanting, I've tried trasure trails, but in the end barrows is the only thing I've even been able to do very well. From humble beginnings (my first run was done with a cannon, using over 400 balls), I now feel I can consider myself an expert barrower. Here is a brief log of my barrows experience. Day 1 Run 1: This was a sort of test run, done with a cannon. I only killed 5 brothers, since at the time you couldn't set up a cannon in the tunnels. I quickly realized this wasn't going to work, and devised a new strategy. Day 2 Run 2: This was done with Wind Blasts, and took me about 5 doses of prayer potion per brother. My tunnel brother was Dharok, and I ran out of prayer against him down in the tunnels, while he was at 5hp. I foolishly thought I could finish him, and fell in 2 hits to his wretched strength. This was a downer, since I wasn't exactly rich at the time, but I decided I'd be damned if barrows was going to beat me. I regrouped and went back to the old drawing board. Run 3: With limited maging capabilities (I was only 64 at the time), I decided my best option would be Fire Blast. I figured it would take maybe 15 per brother, so I played on the safe side and brought enough deaths for 100 Fire Blasts. In full Mystic, I used about 16 doses of prayer potion (I was only 44 prayer at the time). I still brought my cannon though, since I had seen on my first run that it cut through Ahrim like paper. MY efforts were rewarded with a Verac's helm. I went to world 2 to see how much this was worth (about 2.5m at the time), and immediately became addicted to barrows. I had never had more than 1m in my life, and now I was rich beyond my wildest dreams. I bought a good stock of lobsters, prayer potions, and death runes, and headed back to barrows. Run 5: By now I had started to get the hang of barrows, and went through my 5th run without any problems. This was, of course, only 1 run after having gotten a Verac's helm, so I was still rather elated at this sudden rush of money. I hoped for more, and the barrows didn't disappoint. I walked away with an Ahrim's robe bottom, bringing the earnings from my first day of -real- barrowing to 3.5m. Now I obviously can't go on like this for 250 days, so let me make it brief. The very next day I got yet another barrows item from the chest, a Dharok's axe. I now had sufficient funds to buy my very own barrow's set, and asked my friend which one I should get. He said Verac's was good, but after buying a set of that, I decided I didn't like it and got some Dharok's instead, which I immediately fell in love with. Yes, it seemed like the good times would never end. But they did. The next 50! runs at barrows ended with nothing but runes and bolt racks. But I didn't give up, I just remembered those first few days of barrows. I was running out of money by this time, and was on the brink of having to sell my Dharok's. I finally had an idea as to what I wanted to do with all this money I had made. Ever since the teleblock spell came out, I had wanted to be able to use it. I wanted to be one of those all-powerful mages who could render even the strongest warriors helpless. Using the Tip.it skill calculators, I figured out how much money I would need to make this dream a reality. 12,000,000 gp for the 39k or so teleports to 81 mage. This seemed like an insurmountable amount of moeny, and I quickly lost hope. This was about 2 weeks before Christmas, and so I fell into the spirit of the season. This next bit may sound blasphemous to you devout christians, but I actually prayer to God for that 12m. Well, no, more like I made a deal with God. I told God that if he would give me the money I needed to achieve my dream of 81+ mage, then I would not play RS again until the new year. That may sound blasphemous, like I said, but guess what. The very next day ... Guthan's warspear. Verac's helm. Karil's bow. I was practically delirious. now, after selling my Dharok's, I had FAR more than enough money to get to 81 mage. I quickly sold all my items and started buying as many laws as I could. After I had the neccessary amount, I logged off Runescape, and told myself I wouldn't play until the new year. Getting off track though, but long story short I got to 81 mage, experiment with pking a little bit, decided I hated it and went back to barrows. Now, nearly 200 runs later, my barrows technique has developed even further. From my original wind blasts, I now use Charge and Flames of Zamorak, meaning I only need 2 doses of prayer potion per run. Like I said, I've had my ups and down with barrows. Across the 250 runs, I've had these drops. Verac's helm. Ahrim's bottom. Dharok's axe. Guthan's warspear. Verac's helm. Karil's bow. Ahrim's top. Karil's coif. Karil's top. Verac's flail. Dharok's axe. (Funny that in 250 runs I haven't had a single Torag's item) Now, as I sit in front of my 250th chest, prepared to open it, I wonder ... What will the next 250 bring?

About Barrows............
Nobody really knows how much your kill count affects your items from the chest. We can safely say though, the only thing that affects getting a barrows item is how many brothers you kill, and the only thing killing skeletons and such will get you is: Coins Bolt racks Minds Chaos Deaths Bloods

-= Unusual RS Theme =-
What I mean is, it only works when I have two RS windows open.

Then I wonder why it only happens sometimes. :? Anyway, I uploaded the new recordings now, it should definitely work. I checked it myself.

Are there any names NOT related to genitalia?

best name in rs???(most funny)
Well that would make sense since I saw her at the duel arena.

-= Unusual RS Theme =-
I'm not using it for monetary gain, so it's okay. Just so long as I don't use more than a 60 second clip of the song. And the clips I'm uploading are exactly 60 seconds. Then again, they may have different patent laws in the U.K. Well, it's just for demonstration purposes. I'm sure they wont mind. :)

-= Unusual RS Theme =-
Ummm ... I'm not hearing anything when I play those. Is it just me? I think my microphone wasn't plugged in all the way. :? Sorry. I'll re-record those and check next time before I upload.

When I saw these names the other day I took screenshot. It thought they were cool because it's unusual to see a name which doesn't have numbers, and isn't something like "Zezima jr".

-= Unusual RS Theme =-
When I logged on earlier, I noticed there was something different about my RS theme. It sounded much ... better. This happened yesterday after I had to create a rscache file, but when I refreshed the page the sound went back to normal. Earlier it happened again, but I was unable to figure out why. I finally figured it out though. I opened a P2P world in high-detail to play with my main, and then I opened a F2P window in low detail so I could train my pure ranged a little bit when I got bored of barrows. As soon as I opened the second window in low detail, the RS music in my first window changed drastically. I made some wav. recordings of the different themes, uploading them on putfile right now. *Here they are. The first is how the RS theme normally plays for me, and the second is the variation I noticed earlier today. http://media.putfile.com/Normal-RS-Theme-52 (This is the normal RS theme) (Duh) http://media.putfile.com/Nice-RS-Theme-63 (In the second clip, you can hear the music change about 4 seconds in as I open the other window.) http://media.putfile.com/Weird-RS-Theme (This one is really weird. Started playing when I opened RS)

How long have you been a tip.it forums member?
I'd say about 18 hours.

Pest Control hidden update
I think he was being sarcastic ... As in, the only reason for not attacking a spinner would be if you didn't see it? *Unless everybody knew that and I just ruined something.

need merchanting advices
The only thing that has really worked for me so far is buying barrows pieces cheap, then selling the sets for a profit of 200-300k.

hacking accounts...seriously??
Exactly. The idea of people programming a game that makes millions of dollars a month using IE and Windows? Laughable! In fact, I think I will. Hahaha! :o Nobody here is saying it doesn't. Far from it. :)

Best place to powermine iron? maybe with runners?
Go to a highly populated world, and head for the Al-Kharid scopion pit. There are 3 iron rocks in a little triangle formation. If you time it right you can mine and drop without wasting any time between the actions.

-=How many herbs in an herb pack=-
How many herbs are in the herb packs from Pest Control? Because it takes about 15-20 minutes to get 10 point in world 78, and I could get quite a few herbs in that time just killing Men in Edgeville. *Nevermind, I went and got one. The answer is 15 herbs in an herb pack, although I don't think it gives Guams or Marrentils, and maybe not even Tarromin. (which is good)

Warning - Animated Armor
I was actually Dharoking there the other day. I didn't realize that could happen though. Luckily for me nothing happened. I use item protect anyway, so all I would be risking is some food and a strength ammy.

Next Dragon Weap
Argh! This subject has been so thoroughly talked over that there's nothing really left to say! I've been asked no less than 10 times what I think would be the next dragon weapon.

Barrows
What would anybody do with a noted spade at barrows? *I guess you could sell them to the Mort'ton general store and get them back in spade form ... answered my own question there.

Fight Caves Blog
Grow snapdragon seeds. If you plant them in all the different herb patches, that's probably about 30 snapdragons or more after they're grown. (with super compost, anyway)
