June 20, 200620 yr When I logged on earlier, I noticed there was something different about my RS theme. It sounded much ... better. This happened yesterday after I had to create a rscache file, but when I refreshed the page the sound went back to normal. Earlier it happened again, but I was unable to figure out why. I finally figured it out though. I opened a P2P world in high-detail to play with my main, and then I opened a F2P window in low detail so I could train my pure ranged a little bit when I got bored of barrows. As soon as I opened the second window in low detail, the RS music in my first window changed drastically. I made some wav. recordings of the different themes, uploading them on putfile right now. *Here they are. June 20, 200620 yr It's entirely possible that JaGeX has updated their MIDI sounds. I compose music on my computer and had an older version of Finale Notepad (music composition software). It was old, and there was a newer version, so I downloaded it, and all of the instruments had been updated and sounded much more realistic. I think this may have been what happened. I'll listen to the recordings, though, and see if my theory is correct :wink:

And the clips I'm uploading are exactly 60 seconds. Then again, they may have different patent laws in the U.K. Well, it's just for demonstration purposes. One time previously they uploaded the quest details to Mountain Daughter (the One with the Bear helmet and the opposing pseudo-Fremminek tribe) and recently they put up a small bit of the Construction guide for anyone to find (although that one was much harder to find and was stumbled upon by chance I believe). So it's possible someone accidently hit Upload on that sound file and when they realized what they did they took it offline.

June 20, 200620 yr hmm i can't hear the 2nd one, but if you want to record sound that's directly on your pc go to volume control > options > properties > recording > hit ok > and select something like "what you hear" (name depends on what sound drivers you are using)

June 20, 200620 yr Thats really weird actually.... I tried it myself after I read your post, I'll post the steps of how I did it, as just having two RS windows didn't work for me. First I opened to runescape windows to the log in screen, both in high detail, one in member, one in free world (although I doubt ftp or ptp has anything to do with it). I then waited for the songs to load at which point they were playing on top of eachother. I then closed on of the windows, and the remaining window's song changed to that nice new one that you had uploaded. During that song I opened another window and let the music load, the music changed to something different and when I closed the new window, it changed to another completely different style. Very strange find. BTW - Multi logging is bad
