  1. This is something new Ive decided to do. Jesus on the cross. It has taken me hours to get this far, but I think the overall product will be worth it. (going to do a PS brushed version, and a ms paint pixel version) any comments on the linework would be accepted. I will probably post updates here later. Thanks (please don't post abusive comments if you do not like it. please keep comments such as those to yourself. Howver, all CC is gladly welcomed) Update#1 Update#2 Updare#3 Not very happy witht he way that the bg is going at the moment. read the last post for my idea... feel free to post your own Update#4 Still gotta add lots of bits which version do u prefer? stream or no stream? -Shadow
  2. its not "illegal".... illegal is the LAW... its a rule... sorry just had to say it cause i see it everywhere... anyway sorry, ontopic- **Sign me up!**
  3. zammy robes, red gloves and d chain?
  4. ok fixed up a couple of small things.. thanks lowgravity.. fixed the shoulders. also, still having major problems for the background. and new ideas on what i can do fo a bg would be greatly appreciated. i cant seem to get the size/positioning/layout/angle right for the castle idea :(
  5. nice job caskade  the only problem i see is that the arm curves after the elbow. not sure if you were going for this effect tho.. :)
  6. omg imso sorry jitouz  i forgot about the sig i started making you   did you stillwant me to finish it for you? sorry  oh... and i wish there were horses in rs... ill c what i can do with the sara. least im not the only one that thought it looked weird...
  7. first update - fixed up the shape of the knights chest/stomach area a bit.. will add a bit more detail there later. finished the shading on the horse
  8. lol Lowgravity if your referring to the grey parts on the white panels on the horse, thats just temporary so i can see vaguely what itll look like at the end... ty for the comments
  9. a little while ago i said id stop making sigs... but it seems as though i now have a little spare time, and it also happens that im almost bankrupt in rs  so i decided to make a new siggie. (may make a custom later) this is it im still working on the horse, and am currently trying to decide what to do to ''decorate'' the white and purple panels on the horses 'blanket'.... the bg is going to be the front gate part of fally castle - with the flags etc..... not quite sure yet. the linework in the bg is just as a experiment. if anyone has any good ideas on teh bg or on a kinda shield logo thing for the knight, plz post a reply update#1 - small update - finished the shading on the knights horse... Update#2- very small update. fixed some minor things like the shoulders.. all (non-flaming) comments are appreciated
  10. anyway this is a wip. still working on detailing hair, skin, face etc, then ill do the bg. anyway decided to start trying brushed, cause my pixels cant compete with the 'well known' people here -.- any comments/cc appreciated. like i said - this is my first attempt at a proper brushed siggie... no flaming please...
  11. nice, as always gs  and also, as always, way better than anything i could ever do :o
  12. hope this helps a bit.. (hope you dont mind, but i removed the sample incase you decided to use this...) ill pm u the unsampled version, but ill post the sampled version here so others can see, but cant rip easily  anyway, this is what id do with it... i agree with terley - the char shouldnt look too muscly (i think i did too much muscle) but he should have more muscle than what youve currently got. anyway-
  13. lovin it, same as all your other work  inspiring stuff :D honestly, i cant find any major faults... or even minor ones  except... fires usually arnt 'white'. they are usually just a really pale yellow... but maybe thats me hallucinating  looking forward to seeing the finished siggie =p
  14. i recently got a new camera - Olympus D-545. i love it =p to me, the olympus and sony cameras are best. personally i loath kodak and cannon
  15. argh i hate webshots.. they were up a sec... take too long to upload in others. but ill try a diff site.
  16. ive seen others post their sketches and drawings... so thought i might  i know im not all that great, but im bored so ill post  these were all given to a friend who seemed to like my pics... all were done with graphite pencils, and any that r coloured were done with derwent studio pencils.. http://www.webshots.com/search?query=x_dark_shadow_x&start=0 if anyones interested. not all pics have been scanned yet. (btw if u havnt noticed yet - i only do animals  ) unfortunately i can post the actuall pics here  the sizes of them are way too large. i may post some of my best ones here later as images
  17. most pixel artists only use ms paint for the actual pixel, and some use ps for the text only.. the persons legs are too short and too far away from eachother. if someone was mining rune, they would have one foot forward (usually the right) and the other foot further back, to adjust the weight to put as much force in as possible the rune rock is way too big the way that youve got the persons arms atm look like theyve been dislocated at the shoulders the rune rocks are too bright. try using the darkest colour uve already used for the shading on the rocks as the base colour and then do the shadows and shades darker than that. try to use shades of the main colour (for eg, the rune rock) that are only slightly different to each other, so that the lines between the darker/lighter shades is not as obvious with practice youll get much better  gl
  18. pretty good for a first  totally owns my first  anyway... -his eyes look weird.. maybe just change the style/shape of them -add creases/folds to his shirt -try using the line/curve tools. that way you wont end up with 2pix lines in some places and not in others. -i find pixels generally look better when black outlines are not used. i usually use a darker shadw of the base colour besides the above notes, its pretty good  keep practicing, try some bgs and you'll get better
  19. yeah thanks :D i do know how theyre supposed to be held.. but for some weird reason i still did it wrong.. oh well :? i know how bows are held cause i sometimes do archery and my bro owns a good compound bow
  20. well personally - i love that type of sig :D love the colours etc.. but i cant really comment cause i dont know much about abstracts etc... i just pay for them
  21. I like the char on the hill, and the detail on the ground.... however like everyone else said, itd look better if one of the castles was modified so it didnt look exactly the same... the dragon.. hmm needs work :) im definately not great at pixels or dragons etc.. but ill see if thisll help in some way i cant really explain, but i made some examples of dragon body parts... heres the recent drag thingo i did. not the greatest but it may help hope i was helpful in some way :?
  22. lmao i dont believe i did that.. post cc for someone else sig in a diff post  sorry for intruding
  23. thanks for the comments guys :) decided ill leave this sig be now, cause otherwise ill make it worse than it already is  ill remember the tips and use them for future pixels(?) and remoteman, i know the 'gloves' look like mittens  i suck at hands....
  24. well this is the sig im done with the chars - not touching anything on them, although c/c on them for future reference would be great :) it dosnt look like it but a lot of detail has already gone into the lava stream and bg.. but its too plain :? but what i reall need help with.. is the void space on the ground.. should i just leave it? i cant put any wildy dead trees in, because teh angles are wrong and it looks... WEIRD. im also going to make the arrow in teh bow (ready to be fired) glowing green... ill post that update soon thanks in advance guys :D edit- -Shadow
  25. well.. hope you dont mind, but i edited the actual linework (in red) it was easier than just explaining... theyre just small modifications i personally reckon would make it look 'better' but of course thats me.. also the chest area kinda looks like it has gills.. i kno the red lines dont seem much different to the black. but for example with the right leg it looked slightly too high :? but once again, that could just be my eyesight going  anyway- i adore the wings :D and im looking forward to seeing further stages of this and the final :) gl with it
