  1. Im guessing your Christian and other other religions are wrong right? That has nothing to do with this thread. It just happens to be a commonly held belief that it is wrong on this forum. Not many people on TIF are that religious, atleast not on OT. The way we worded his post makes it sound like he is Christian and he is completely ignoring that the familys religions and there beliefs, I admit it is wrong but you must understand that they where brought up believing that and they follow cirtin rules and beliefs under there culture. If you think it's wrong then religion still shouldn't justify it. I think it's wrong so it's wrong. No religion went into my conclusion that it's wrong. Just knowing how fragile young children are and to have that happen at such an early age by people around her age, and then being disowned by her family. That will [bleep] her up for life.

  3. Tell them they're incorrect in correcting you because both are correct, thus, there is no need to literally change the phrasing of that sentence. Or alternatively call them douchebags
  4. It will last alot longer than that, because the initial zombies will last a week, then whoever they infect will last a week, and the cycle will repeat. Day 1 of outbreak - Person A is infected Day 4 of outbreak - Person A infects Person B Day 7 of outbreak - Person A dies Day 8 of outbreak - Person B infects Person C Day 11 of outbreak - Person B infects Person D Day 14 of outbreak - Person B dies and Person D infects Person E Day 15 of outbreak - Person D and Person C die Not that long, because I think the initial burst of zombies will be not be able to sustain itself. The zombies will turn most of the "unprepared's" and then all die four days later when there are much less people to choose from. I'd say the max length of a rage outbreak is 4-5 weeks. Well here's to zombies which don't drink water. No sense of self preservation?
  5. Sorry I don't like discussing horrible events on a Runescape forum that everyone already knows about. And everyone is just going to say the same thing...it was bad, it was wrong, bad family, poor girl. Hornay boys. Then stay out of off topic or don't look at the thread. I frequent Digg and I had not heard of this until today. You're the only one so far that has heard about this before. I actually read an article about it a few days ago, but yea, big whoop, it's a week old. The article I read (I think it was on CNN) mentioned something about how the kids (I don't remember which kids - the boys or the girl) were from refugee families from the "war-torn country of Liberia." Just thought that might be notable. Does that really matter? Rape is rape, no matter if it happens to an 8 year old girl or a 30 year old man. Someone from Liberia or someone from Kentucky.
  6. Yeah, I'm curious about the family's religion and culture too. The part that disgusts me the most though is that the 14 year old boy should have known better. I hope he spends his time in jail thinking about how traumatized that girl is going to be. Same goes for the parents (except they won't be in jail). Though they should be. That may be worse than the actual rape part. The girl is going to think it's her fault and will end up [bleep]ed up for the rest of her life. All because her parents are insensitive [wagon].

Crono, Magus, and Marle ftw. Until I have Magus I use Chrono, Marle, and Ayla or Glenn, Marle and Ayla. Quick, guess which character I use the most!
  8. Yeah but I don't think the next one should be a GM quest unless it ends the storyline which I can't see coming. I don't wanna go back to the elf lands lol. Get so annoyed when I get a clue or there's a penguin there. yea because aparently the "real" 150th was just a mith as we are on ~160 now and there is no sign of it. TCC was a very good quest. A game is about having fun, not grinding for bragging rights.
  9. Takes double the normal voltage, therefore you'd need a huge battery. Even the ones you can buy today cause the target to flinch/collapse (depending on where you shock them at). Yeah, I'm pretty sure a 3 second zap with a taser can cause an adult male to lose consciousness, so it stands to reason that a 4-5 second zap would knock down a zombie. The brain is controlled by electrical impulses (well most of the body is). So a direct shock to the head/skull/brain might temporarily disable them. I doubt it will last too long, maybe only a few minutes but long enough to smash the brain without fear of biting and will help conserve ammo. Keep in mind this is a theory and could be wrong. This entire thread is theory For the time being, anyway Yeah, it could be useful, and may help us use those woodchips a bit faster, generating electricity to shock zombies. Can we build a giant tesla coil to shock zombies outside the powerplant?! Pleaseeee...? No the shock would need to be directly to the head/skull/brain, which we couldn't guarantee with anything unmanned. Besides that if we arn't there to kill them we'll just be wasting the little power we have.

  11. I never played 2 oddly enough. Played 1 and loved it, but never 2. Btw it is shining force not plural.
  12. Whenever my dad was heading to hyrule castle I would always run out of the room  Oh, and these guys were even worse: Haha, I forgot those and the mummies. Pretty much the whole shadow temple scared me :( Yeah the shadow temple freaked me out. Looking back on it, it was great.

Killer instinct Edit: Damn you twiley. I know a game and you have to take it away from me.
  14. MGS3 IS the backstory.
  15. A movie could never fully capture a FF game. Take FFXII for example. You can play through the main story and it is rather boring, grinding some, fighting bosses, and beating the final boss. Then you have the side quests, all the different marks, the hell wyrm, the sky pirates den. Now the real meat of the game lies with the marks. Now in two hours we all know they'd focus on the main story. While fights with the hell wyrm or Yiazmat were the real epic parts about that game. This is one example but all FF games are like this. FFVII: the weapons, FFVIII: Getting all the GF's, FFIX: Ozma, FFX: the monster arena. All side quests although the last fight of FFVIII was about the most epic one. If your playing a FF and your bored with the main story, your doing it wrong. If you only played FFXII then I understand you don't see there being much to a FF movie, as FFXII had a boring main story that was all political. In truth a FF movie that was not made from any of the original games could work. If you played one of the more story intensive ones like FFIV, FFVI-FFIX then you would realize that there is a helluva lot to the main story line. The movie would just have to be like those in terms of story. (SE made FFXII with a tonne of side quests to help appease the Western RPG style where you go around and do what ever you want. More traditional J-RPG's are more linear) One that would be really weird, but I'm sure there is room for a great story is Shadow of The Colossus. The original game had a lot to interpret as your own. Plus the Colossi could make for some great battles. The only FF game I haven't played was FFIII because it was for Japan only/I don't have a DS, and the other ones associated with the NDS, and FFXI. I'm not saying the story isn't good, i'm saying it wouldn't make a good movie.

You call that glorified [cabbage] cake? This. But REAL. I expect the same post in eight days on my birthday. :notalk:
  17. Damn you. Exactly what I was about to post, but not Livingston. You mean Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
  18. I thought 7's sidequests were more about the Materia and 10 was about weapons. But anyways, you're right. The aspect that drew people into video games was that it's interactive - you can go on quests, find different methods of killing monsters, and solve puzzles. When it comes to video games, personally speaking, the storyline wasn't really one of my biggest priorities. If the gameplay was good, then I liked it. The story was really just a little extra thing to keep you motivated to play through it. By weapons I meant Ruby or Emerald weapon.
  19. I'm not sure that'll do, we need more rifles, I think. But hopefully more people will be able to bring their own. If the people show up chances are they'll have a gun or if not they'll atleast have a melee weapon.

It doesn't have to be exactly like the game. Just pretend you have complete control over the production of the film, and an infinite supply of money. I'd say screw the film and walk away with my infinite supply of money. I'm just that way. Movies are best left as movies, books are best left and books, and games are best left as games. I'd easily pay $40-$60 to get a remake of my favourite games than pay $10 to see a movie adaptation or $20 to buy the movie.
  21. Its always good to keep a small hand weapon on you. And yeah, but thats just an example, I was mainly thinking about the different colours on the guns. And a melee weapon in case you run out of ammo. Something small and easy to run with, nothing like a katana (unless you didn't really have another option).

  23. It's not okay to let a dog starve but it's okay to ignore a homeless person on the street? Never said anything about a homeless person. But you never know if that person is some rapist or a murderer or something. Plus they have the ability to find a job somewhere somehow. I dont think a dog is going to murder you or rape you. and they sure cant get a job themselves. Well we don't know you're not a rapist or murderer either. So if you were on the side of the street starving to death you'd want me to ignore you because you might be a rapist? Not everyone is a bad person and when you meet someone you shouldn't assume.
  24. None really. Because I have never seen a good movie come from a game. Though about an FF6 movie you can't just take Cid out. Cid has been around since FF4 and if you take him out it's just not FF. Cid has always been there and has always had something to do with your airship.
