Scientist - Night of the Living. One of the best dub bands ever :D
-
Those are two of the few songs I can play on the bass (You could count them with the fingers on one hand anyway ). I can't get the harmonics on norwegian wood right, but the tapping part is quite simple when you've done it for a while. And the other song I can't do flawless, but still better than that guy on the vid :D.

I play guitar and some bass. Mostly some heavier stuff on the guitar like Slayer and Sepultura. On the bass I've played mostly jazzy stuff, mostly from Vic Wooten and the last two songs I taught myself on the bass were Norwegian wood (didn't bother learning the intro) and (couldn't find Vic playing it :( ) And I got Steve Vai to sign my Ibanez Musician during G3 '04 \

I was around 40m richer a year ago. Then I lost my red mask and santa due to getting banned. After that I managed to get another santa and a green mask, though I gave the santa away when I retired. (left the green mask as a starter, if I ever returned)

Slayer's a legend with a capital L. It was the band that got me into the trash metal in the first place. I just wish I had found out about them earlier than just three years ago. I mostly listen to Slayer because of Dave Lombardo, the most innovative drummer IMO. I'm not saying that Bostaph wasn't any good but Davey is a god amongst men . I think Slayer has even got better judging by the last two albums. It's different from their earlier stuff, a bit more experimental. I'm not denying that the classics like 'Reign in Blood' or 'South of Heaven' are awesome, but I've listened to them literally thousands of times and that has taken the edge off from them.

I sincerely doubt it will. As far as i know, most hair-loss goes in our genes so I really doubt hairgel will affect it.

I still do listen to some of the bands I listened to growing up like Rage Against The Machine and Korn but most of them I almost never listen.

Music, movies & television maybe? EDIT: and there's already a thread about the movie there.

I agree with Meesy there. English has established itself around the world due to most medias being English. I myself didn't find learning English hard at all, but some of my friends have had problems learning it. I'd rate it moderately easy, seeing that it must be easier to learn the basic conjucations of English than it is with, for example, Finnish. In Finland and English is being taught from the age of nine in our elementary schools which I think is too late to master a language. I'm from Finland if you didn't figure that out by now. Off topic: you misspelled 'kiitti', just caught my eye

I've been listening to Maiden for quite a while now. I first heard it when I was around the age of eleven and now, 7 years later I still get kicks from it. Lately I've been listening to the two first albums a.k.a the Di'Anno era. That band has had a major influence on several generations, and hopefully they won't quit any time soon. Three decades of music is quite a feat. =D> Some of my all time maiden songs: Afraid to shoot strangers, The rime of the ancient mariner, aces high and two minutes to midnight. All great songs.

If Real Life was a Game, Who Would Have the Highscore?

Steve Irwin for #1 hunter! Too bad he doesn't play IRL anymore. :( -
I don't watch too many sci-fi movies but the best battle scene in my opinion is the x-wing assault on the death star. It's a classic

Lamb of God TONIGHT!! (recent or upcoming shows?)
dread_rasta replied to warri0r45's topic in Off-Topic
Well the next concerts I know I'm attending are Tuska open air and Sepultura's concert at Kaapelitehdas. Can't do to many concerts because of school so that's mainly for next summer, though I will be trying to convince my friends to come to other concerts. -
By far the most annoying thing to me is with Finnish language. Most of the people can't tell when to type a certain word together so they leave the two words separate. It really ticks me off..

Now why would you train guitar spinning instead of playing the instrument!? I certainly wouldn't even dream of spinning any of my guitars. The cheapest one costed me 'bout 1300$ (it was a bit less than 1000̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì if my memory serves). And yet to talk about the sentimental value :ohnoes: Don't worry, the chipped paint just makes it look more worn, which would cost a lot more if they did it at the jackson factories.

In my opinion rap/hip hop wasn't made to be performed before a large live audience. In fact, most of it was originally created to cope with the life in poor conditions and violence around. I do not dislike the music, I just dislike the way the guys end up with loads of cash..

Well I won't surely get my hopes up. St. Anger introduced a whole new sucky version of Metallica. I just hope this album will be a pleasent surprise to all of us and especially the fans of Metallica.

I saw them live at Tuska open-air '06 and I wasn't too impressed. They're propably just not as good playing live or something. I know lots of bands find re-enacting the stuff that happened in the studio difficult. I guess it's an ok band, but they're not exactly what I'd get excited about. (Judged them by their performance there)

Who do you think is the best drummer ever?
dread_rasta replied to FrancisRune83's topic in Music, Movies & Television
Dave Lombardo blew my mind on Testament's album 'the Gathering'. It was by far better than his work on Slayer. I've listened to that album literally hundreds of times and I still think that album is the best by Testament. Tomas Haake from Meshuggah also ranks quite high on my list because of the complexity of his playing. He really is one-of-a-kind. I've never seen/heard anyone like him. I'd also like to know if this guy counts as a drummer. I just like him because of the 'drumitar'. -
what was the best thing u gave to some1 for FREE?

A santa hat to a friend when I started spending more time on my pure. -
It's quite hard to take a stance here. It's great for the people in need of those transplants but at the same time it seems like we once again defy the rules that were set to us. Well, hopefully this one won't backfire..

I first started on an account called 'Iscariot_iii' in 2004 but I abandoned the moment i realised the i's weren't capital. 10 minutes after I walked in the middle of Lumbridge with a fresh-off tutorial account called 'Iscariot_3'. The best time on my RS career (wouldn't actually call it a career) was spent on that particular account in the good ol' mining guild (got 91 mining) but like all good things they must come to an end. Iscariot_3 was banned on 12/3/05 and so I moved up to 'Dread_Rasta'. After reaching some important milestones I didn't feel like playing anymore so i abandoned that account and after a while I made my first pure, 'Nodding Duck'. After some air running and merchanting I finally regained some of my long lost wealth which was lost when 'Iscariot_3' was banned. That's almost the whole story behind my current account. It has been a wonderful time in RS and hopefully there will be more in the future.

Isn't it obvious that I must save some cash to spend it properly? Last time I spent any noticable amount was the time I bought the green mask after some time of air running & merchanting..
