Mining/ smithing rant
Point is, high level bars used to make high level equipment that costs more should cost more to make as well. So, simplest solution? Need more coal per bar. Simple.

Best f2p money maker?
Note that he is level 66 mining, and getting 85 would take quite a while in F2P seeing as the best XP he could get would be powermining iron...

Woodcutting for money
Sorry to break it to you, but woodcutting sucks for making money. Even doing non skill related stuff like picking flax can match it per hour.

Thanks bro, I'm definitely gonna do that. :-)

Nom's Quick Chaos Tunnel Green Dragon Guide!
Green Dragons <3: Ah, profitable Green Dragons. Found in two places in the Chaos Tunnels and a few more places in the wilderness, they are the lowest level dragons in the game at 79. Basic Stats - For You and the GD Green Dragons: Level 79 75 HP - 750 Life Points (LP = [cabbage]) Attacks with Melee Occasional Dragonfire/breath attack Best method of attack: Melee You (recommended minimum) 70 attack 65 strength 70 defense 70 HP Recommended efficiency 75 attack 70 strength 75 defense 75 HP Setup Melee Setup: Lower levels/cash Your setup won't look exactly like this; I am not currently hunting Green Dragons and was unable to take my own picture. I will do a flowchart of the best equipment for each levels though ;) Nom's personal choice for GD hunting is highlighted in green (neitz and warrior are very comparable; use whichever you have) Neitiznot helm>Warrior helm>Berserker helm>Rune full helm Rune plate>Granite plate>Rune Chain Dragon skirt/legs (skirt is much cheaper)>rune legs Whip for attack/defense - Drag scim for strength anti dragon shield>>>>>>>>>>antifire pots and rune defender dragon boots>rune boots glory>power>strength amulet best RFD gloves> cooking gauntlets> whatever else you have trimmed skill cape>skill cape>legends cape>obsidian cape>spottier cape>god cape berserker ring>warrior ring>ring of life>ring of wealth (I use a ring of life SOLELY because I am very paranoid of dying and prefer safety over better stats, don't do it B) ) Melee Setup: Higher levels/cash This is pretty much the best setup you can get. Except the ring, use a berserker or warrior's ring. Note that this outfit takes a lot of time and money to get, that's why it's the higher level setup. Anything less is just going to be a big step down, so for higher levels, this is the top outfit. Inventory 7-12 Sharks depending on defense Take a dose of super att, str, def before leaving GE Teletabs to varrock coins That's it. You want to end up with about one shark left after you get a full inventory of hides/bones to maximize efficiency. Even if you want to run back to the GE, bring some teletabs in case you find a revenant or just need to get out quick for whatever reason. Note: If you are doing slayer, a slayer helm with full items inside is better than the rest of the helms you could have. Tasty Profits Green dragons drop green d'hides and dragon bones 100% of the time, and usually something else as well. Items to pick up: Coins Bass Charms if you want Dragon spear Runes Rune full helm Rune kite Dragon Egg Key halves Shield left half Clue scroll (3) Leave everything else, except of course the bones and hides. Bones and Hides Green d'hide average price: 1,794 Dragon bones average price: 5,341 I bury the bones for some good prayer XP, 72 XP per bone. It cuts down the profit, but it helps train prayer. If you use the inventory setup I suggested, you should ideally end up with 25 hides per trip. That's about 45k. Minus the cost of about 8 sharks, 13,374, you get 31,626 gp per trip. If you fish your own sharks, or use lobsters, the cost is reduced and therefore you make more profit at the expense of possibly not having enough time/food for a full inventory trip. If you don't bury the bones, with 9 sharks, and so 13 bones and 12 hides, you make 77.5k per trip. Around 30k more due to not burying the bones. Your choice. Spot You use entrance 5 from this map, from GE or BH, whichever you choose. Room 21 of the Chaos Tunnels. Go to the north east entrance, run up the hallway, and use the portal to get to the dragons. There are a couple baby blacks as well as an animated spade next to the green dragon. They'll be aggressive for around ten minutes or so. Use the terrain and dragons to fight only one at a time. I prefer to use the GE as I like to get money in increments as I train. BH banking is faster and more profitable, but that's your choice. Same deal though, games necklace to BH and run to entrance. Reason for Chaos Tunnels? No revenants. Fin. Hope my smallish guide helped you guys out. <3:

Nothing special, just proud of myself
In the space of this weekend and today, not having played in around a year, I did these things: Entire Digsite Quest Entire Death Plateau Quest RFD: Pirate Pete RFD: Goblins Finished off Waterfall Quest 72 attack - Just a tiny bit away from 73 66 strength - 67 Strength 69 cooking - 70 cooking 45 craft - 46 craft 31 herblore - 33 herblore 73 wc- 74 wc 45 slayer - 46 slayer 69 hp (i refuse to call it constitution, dammit!) - 70 hp 48 prayer - 49 prayer 17 - 18 farming Also got myself within 8k xp of 9M total Nothing special, just because I'm a notorious inefficient player I'm fairly proud of myself for doing all that in that amount of time. :^_^:

63-66 Magic
This is gold? And am I having to mine these ores?

63-66 Magic
Done FoG, it's slow as hell. I'd need something like 1.9k law runes to do Camelot tele, which would cost over 500k. I could do that and still have plenty of money, but I don't really want to spend that much. How can I get there quickly? I'd probably be willing to spend up to...300k? 200? Thanks.

Jagex: The Mother of the Noobs
Oh. Didn't mean to come off like a [bleep] there, Peregrin  Still, Jagex does baby players a lot more than necessary.
-
Jagex: The Mother of the Noobs
Oh, I didn't realize making a post with superb grammar, spelling, punctuation, and a good show of reasons and (some) logic was whining. If you put a credit card in to buy Runescape money on a non official site (i.e. Jagex does not sell gold) you also deserve to get your credit card stolen.

Jagex: The Mother of the Noobs
hurr hurr hai guise jagex blows cuz we dont can has bots and leet skillz we should No. But in all seriousness, Jagex babies its players more than any game I've ever seen. Including CoD 4 and and MW2. Happened first with the removal of the wilderness. I never PKed, and I didn't like having to go in and have the chance of being killed by players, but I just didn't care about the wilderness one way or another. But noobs were getting lured; that is, told to come trade someone for a cheap price near the wilderness, and unexpectedly being brought into the wild and killed. It took a special kind of stupidity to be lured if you were over combat 40. Happened again with the trade warnings - Changes would flash red and a warning sign would go DANGER DANGER DANGER. I liked this update, as it prevented scamming and didn't really inconvenience anyone other than blinding them for a few seconds. Still, it babied the players. And happened ONCE AGAIN with the trade LIMIT. More quest points = more leniency, but still annoying as [bleep]. It effectively disabled gifts, surprise presents, people saying "10k for 3 laws right now" and all that. All it did was help reduce RWT, which still went on, only not as simply as before. It also helped prevent players get jacked for cheap items. IMHO, if you aren't aware enough to know the price of what you're buying or to at least check with someone or look it up on Tip. it, you DESERVE to lose the extra money. It's natural selection, Runescape style. Jagex is like a damn overprotective mother who listens to the younger child when they say *older sibling* did such and such!!!mommy!!!!!11!1!!! (That's a reference to reports for telling people to google a goddamn thing. Whole nother rant though.) Rant done.

Top Worlds to train in
It doesn't exist. It's just an excuse used by the weak to attempt to usurp the more powerful. Get bigger or go somewhere else. So if you're mining two addy rocks that are side by side and you've been there alone forever, it's ok for someone else to just come in and start mining the same rocks even though they're likely open in another world? It's akin to using a tool in an art class and while you're using it someone who's bigger comes and just takes it.

Top Worlds to train in
Am I the only one who knows of the (should be) Runescape Common Courtesy Code? :(

Top Worlds to train in
I have a slayer task of Green Dragons so I'm meleeing them in the CT. But EVERY world I've been to has multiple people. A few worlds ago, a guy came in and just stole my spot. I politely asked him to switch worlds as I was here first, and he didn't respond. I then told him to get the [bleep] out of my world. I've tried trade worlds, House parties, FoG, Pest Control, Vinesweeper, etc. worlds. What are the best ones for not finding many people?

Mining Question.
If you want less profit for magic xp, that's your prerogative.

Mining Question.
Check out the past 30 days of price change for the pick. If you think it won't drop much, then go ahead and get it and resell it when you're done. You won't lose much money IMO. It'll help you train faster = more time for you to do other stuff = less cost. I'd personally do iron and coal and make steel, then to cannonballs for a nice big profit, but your method sounds good too. Good luck :)

D long versus D scim
The hell? Just noticed the longsword has better stats in all categories than the scimitar. What advantage does the scim have?

Hatred towards birthdays
[quote name='sees_all1' date='05 May 2010 - 09:10 AM' timestamp='1273065044' post='4256427' In all seriousness - Don't post your details online. Don't post your birthday, your age, your school, or anything else that can identify you. Heck, don't even post your city if the population is less than 10,000. 1. Age - Who cares if you post this? Anyone can LOOK at you and guess your age to within ~3 years. Why is it any importance if you post it online? 2. Birthday - Same as above... 3. School - Yeah. Don't post. 4. City - If you're stupid enough to do that somewhere people might "get" you, you deserve to get whatever it is. Then again, this is tip.it, a Runescape help site. We're not 4chan...
