Context: A friend on Facebook posted a karate kyle image (google it if you don't know what it is). Someone else posted another in the comments, and I posted one in the comments too. This happened... two months ago? Today: My dad tells me he received a call from my school saying I had done this. Apparently someone reported the image TO THE SCHOOL. Then my dad got super angry at me and we had a heated discussion along the way (going home from school). 1. Freedom of speech 2. Karate Kyle is a popularly known meme 3. I didn't actually make the image I posted 4. Whose life is so uninteresting they actually spend free time reporting kids for posting stupid memes on Facebook? The part I'm most surprised about is my dad being so angry. He said he felt "blindsided". I lol'd. I believe the specific image said "They shoved me into lockers; I shoved them into caskets".

Good laptop. Nice specs, decent price. You should only get it if you're planning on it being used heavily/intensively (programming, 3D modeling, gaming, etc.) otherwise a lower power, lower price laptop might be better.

They don't mean to call him an idiot just because he doesn't know the one fact. If people miss such basic/key facts like that (especially a professor, especially of chemistry) then they are probably in general somewhat stupid/lazy/whatever. You're lucky they don't make you pay attention to your heartbeat :lol: Jets - You have to balance use of the brakes and throttle. And a lot of practice. They are just very difficult to use.

Once upon a time you were my age, and you were annoyed with other people who thought you were lying when you actually weren't. And I'm 15. I joined these forums when I was 12 and I still didn't make up such lies as that. I don't make up lies like that either.

It's good advice in general (minus the happily thereafter part), but not in his case. You implied that if he followed your advice, he'd get the girl he wants in the long run. But by doing so, it gives him a false hope that will likely never come into fruition and ultimately lead to disappointment. His focus should be on other girls, not this one girl. You put the emphasis on this one girl. Yes, he did, because he was/is trying to get this one girl. If it might work, he might be willing to try it.
