  1. Aww, at first I thought you meant something different with the bold part. More like "you're as rich as feel you are" or "being rich isn't about having a lot of money" It looks like it's going to be a great guide and I heard you are pretty succesfull at making money. Even though I hardly ever go out to 'make money' I'm looking forward to see more of your methods for when I get back to some serious slaying and will need Guthans and cannonballs. Making money through skills is currently breaking even for me with other skills so I'm allways looking out for good techniques to do for a short time and then get back to skilling :D Haha, you are as pretty as you think you are. But being rich really isn't about having alot of money, everything in this world is relative and if you are content with 10k gp, then who am I to tell you that you should be sad? Not for any of the guides posted at the moment, don't worry i'll let you know about that stuff if its important. And the longer you can stay and buy runes the better, it means you are spending less time selling runes and its generally easier to sell in bulk. So if you are going to do it, i'd suggest taking as much as you have/can spare to be without for a few hours. Also, I am doing the tanning at the moment, if you want to come and tan some hides with me (I can give you some to tan and pay you) come server 111 al kahid and keep me company :). (This is what I was talking about when I said doing things with friends is more fun, I don't have any friends so be my friend plz)
  2. *Update* Ok, I just finished doing two rune stalls. Void knight and and port sarim, void knight was 280k profit for 15 minutes and port sarim was about 190k. Both are pretty decent pay rates if you ask me, I will skip the next few rune stalls (for now) because I am pretty sure you guys get the idea. For some reason its just over looked. Next up is either arrow tip buying or hide tanning. I am doing all the things which require no skills first so they are accessible to everybody. I think the admins would consider that advertising and would yell at me, but feel free to pester them into allowing me to do it. Basically what he is talking about is I pay people to smith/smelt certain things for me (You save time not worrying about buying ores and bars etc)
  3. I am doing all the trials on P2P servers, so I am not sure how applicable this would be for F2P servers. For example, rune buying is almost impossible on F2P, I guess I could post some F2P figures too.
  4. Errr, I meant to click preview. My bad, I will finish this quicker than expected due to the miss post. So sorry.
  5. A little about the guide: The guide is divided up into sections, if you have a slow internet connection you can turn off photos as everything in the photo is summarised below. (Although, its nice to be able to see the photos) To do this in IE, click tools > internet options > advanced > then under multimedia unclick show pictures then apply. Introduction: Being rich in my opinon is a state of mind, its something you've got to be motivated to do or else you will quickly turn off. There is no point in earning GP just so you can say 'I have more than you have'. Keeping this in mind, before you read this guide its important for you to know why you want money. Prehaps it's because you want to level up skills the easy(ier) way, or prehaps its because you want a pretty (or ugly if its not purple) party hat. So, write down a goal, even post it here because I can tell you on those cold winter nights you'll need some motivation. Once you have a goal, break it down. Say your main goal is a purple party hat set small incremental milestones you can celebrate on the way. For example, 1million gp, 5million gp, 10million gp, 25million gp, 50million gp, 75million gp, Purple phat and most importantly celebrate at each step of way, it'll lift your spirits. Last by more importantly, if you can make money with friends do it, you can bounce back small talk which will help the time go quicker and quicker. The guide itself: All pictures and final totals are based on 15 minutes of trialling. At the end I will also post the hourly totals (4 * the 15 minute totals) aswell as any xp received while doing this task. My starting back pack is always as follows: 5,000,000gp in cash nothing else (You really won't need anything like 5,000,000 for most of these things, but i've just made that the amount so that the backpack stays the same) Rune buying I have included several locations here because sometimes differnt locations are more or less busy than others, also some stores sell differnt runes and have differnt profit margins. If I missed a rune location, let me know I will do my best to update it in this post in the near future. (Please use PM's to notify me of mistakes) *Notes* This was actually alot better than expected, the servers were mostly full with chaos and deaths. Not sure if its always like this, but it was pretty decent cash. Spent about 400k for a 190k turn around which is about 50% profit. *Tips* If things are slow they also sell basic runes here, it might be a good idea to purchase some minds for 5gp per and sell for 20gp per. Port sarim rune store: The port sarim rune store is located south of falador and west of draynor. My starting backpack can be seen above. This is what my back pack looked like after 15 minutes: (4596k in cash, 1299 death runes, 1588 chaos runes) This is what my back pack looked like after selling the runes: (5,193,029 in cash) Thats a profit of 193,029 for 15 minutes work. Which equals 772,116 per hour (add an extra 5 minutes or so to sell the runes). Spent about 400k for a 190k turn around which is about 50% profit. Void knight rune store: This store is located on the void knight island, you can get here by going to port sarim and catching a boat. The ferry ride is free. I started with the standard back pack shown above. This is what my back pack looked like after buying runes for 15 minutes: (4401k gp, 1705 death runes, 2450 chaos runes) This is what my back pack looked like after selling the runes: (5,280,000gp) Thats a profit of 280,000gp per 15 minutes, which equals 1,120,000 profit per hour. Tanning Tanning hides requires finding somebody who needs hides tanned. People pay between 100gp and 200gp per hide tanned. Once you have found somebody you will either need pre-tanned hides (you could have normal hides and then tan them also) or you will need to give them some type of collateral to make sure you don't run off with their dragon hide. Then go to al kahid bank withdraw your untanned hides and tan them! Here is my inventory before tanning: http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/6820/starttan9cg.jpg (5000k, 675 untanned hides) Here is my inventory after tanning for 15 minutes: (4986k gp, 675 tanned hides) Here is my inventory after swapping the tanned hides for untanned hides plus 150gp per hide. (This is the amount that I pay people to tan hides for me, below is a list of people who pay tanners and their prices, to be added to this list send me a personal message.) (5,087,750 gp, 675 untanned hides) This is 87,750 gp profit per 15 minutes which equals 351,000 profit per hour. This is less than alot of the other methods mentioned here, but to that i'd say two things. The first is that I am 28 agility and I was talking during this test, most people can do 3,000 hides + per hour, which is obivously more money. The second is that this is constant gp, it doesn't matter how many other people are doing it. Oh and I have a third point, its 150,000 per hour for F2P which is pretty good. List of tanners and what they pay: Chewy_shoe 150gp per dragon hide Chewy_shoe 75gp per cowhide (F2Pers welcome) (Your name here) (Price you pay per hide) (Send me a PM for your name to be in this list) On a side note, I have a few more ways of making decent money but they require a sponsor or trader. (I.e, tanning hides) I haven't posted these because I am fairly certain they belong in the market section. If you can convince the admin staff that they belong here (or they actually belong here), let me know. Otherwise I will make one big post and put it in the market place and hopefully I will be allowed to post the link here. I'll update it once I get a respond. (Feel free to PM me if you can answer these questions with any type of authority, i.e mods admin). This material may not be copied in part or in full without permission of the creator, Chewy Shoe. 6. Hah, I do that IRL. An annoying girl asked me what I got on a test, and I replied with "Yes". I love confuzzling people... If you are particularly BRAVE, here's a little psychology expirament for you guys. Somply stare at a girl's neck until they get so grossed out they can't look at you. According to most of the girls I did this to, they think you are looking at something else. Quite amusing... Lol, don't listen to this dude :P . Anyways, if your going to stare, at least stare at the right spot  . Got to get some compensation for the slap your about to recieve. Yeah, the eye sockets are the good stuff.
  7. I dunno, getting drunk is pretty entertaining. (Don't drink kiddies, its bad)
  8. I always trade finished furies for onxies + 100k, no trust involved. Just msg me ingame (this is open to anybody) and if you don't have 100k, then some items will do just fine.
  9. examples?? 5mill an hour................. do that for a day or two, get a phat! I make about, oh, 150k an hour. Awfull slow. 1mil is like, "OMG 1mil!!!!!!!" for me   . So, what lvls do you need for that kind of cash, and what do you do?? *Smiles* I've gone from about 200k to 500mill in about 4 months time. Although, sswiss04 and das did give me a bit of cash to get started. To put that "average" into perspective: 500 mill over 4 months with an average of 5m/hr means about 100 hours of gameplay. Are you sure you play less than an hour a day on average over that time? I bet you play over 4-5 hours on average per day to make that kind of money if not more. Dont confuse the meaning of average..... in the context of this post that means total worth divided by total hours of gameplay or close to that. For example, selling some item for a profit of 5 mill or 15 mill over a 5 second trade doesnt make the average 1-3 mill per second. As for me, I dont make money anymore ... the only thing I have done lately when I log on is to cut and burn a few willows for half an hour while chatting with anyone I know whos online. I know how to do basic arthimetic, thanks. And when I posted, I mean I make on average 5mill an hour NOW. Obivously I wasn't making 5million an hour when I had 200k, thats ridiculous 2500% return, nobody in the world can make that type of cash. My post was really divided into two seperate points. The first was answering the original topic (How much can you make an hour, well I can make 5million on average an hour.) the second was in response to somebody saying they went from 0gp to 14mill from barrows, I was merely pointing out that barrows was indeed not the best way to make money. Also, if I was to do a true average, then my average gp per hour would be more like 5,000gp per hour, I wasted alot of time as a newbie. There is a point when you discard data. So yeah, I will take your bet, I play way less than 3-4 hours a day. How much would you like to bet? On a side note, i'll make a post about non skilled ways to get money just as soon as I can figure out where I should post it.
  10. and your a member of tip.it? any way, its an okay update, id really like to see the members quest some time soon. that mournings end 2, all those lights and stuff after about 5-8 they get a lil confusing especially when its like use the 3rd route but change this and that and this The problem is not that I don't know how to read a quest guide, the problem is I am not sure where the hell I am up to. I'd rather not start the quest again and then work out where I am, so I just never finished up. dude, what you could have done is gone to the ingame quest index, clicked on the quest, and it tells you what youve done so far in that quest. Oh. I have 59 quest points, leave me alone. (Thanks for the tip:))

  12. Man, thats a awesome update. I started romeo and juliet about four years ago and never completed it because I forgot where I was up to, hopefully this will help me track down whats next.

  14. Until AutoRune, which practically eliminated any 'control' she actually had. Not really that powerful then. Hi milli Autorune was waaaaaaaay after bluerose's peak, I don't think she was even playing when it was re-made. (The initial release really didn't have that much affect on anything bluerose was involved with) Also, zzz is one crazy kid.
  15. You're talking about a rune chain right? You would assume so, espically because he says 'my first /rune/ drop...'. Also, I don't mean that to sound so narky, my apologies if you take it that way.
  16. Thats no good, add me ingame and i'll give you a new obby shield. (It can be my good deed for the day! :)) But in future, don't trust anybody with your items unless you are willing to lose them.
  17. Anywhere between 2 and 15mill an hour, average is about 5mill an hour. If you are playing purely for money (i.e you need money to buy supplies for a skill you enjoy) then there are plenty of ways to earn between 200k and 1000k an hour which are fairly easy and require pretty much no skills.
  18. I would think that this portion of people represents a very small fraction of the cheating community. Sure its bad, but not buying runescape millions won't solve the problem. People should just not buy runescape millions because its wrong and getting ahead by cheating will give you no sense of accomplishment and all in all make the game pointless. If you want to have lots of GP, play one of the many hacked servers that are out there. (Don't really, I am sure most of them have keyloggers attached in some shape or form). Lets all just be patient and wait for the Jaqex team to make a decision or implement the new anti cheating software.
  19. And I am even less impressed that its the tip.it staff, I know you guys are co-workers, but if you're co-worker robs a bank you shouldn't pat him on the back and give him some candy. It's a shame you made that decision Duke, hopefully it'll teach you an important real life lesson. If thats the case atleast you made the mistake on a game and not in real life.
  20. To everybody who says it doesn't take skill, how about we both start off with 200,000gp or any amount you want, play the same amount of hours per week and see who ends up with the most? On a side note, I give up. It seems nobody actually reads anything but the first post and if they do they don't borther to re-address points brought up by others.
  21. I just wanted to say I think its cool you guys are doing this and it sounds like its just for fun and few giggles with friends. Hit me up ingame and i'll give you and your posse 100 free shark and some pots to use up in your next trips. :) If I don't respond, then just come to al kahid server 111. Have fun, and maybe i'll come sometime :).
  22. You are loosing potenial profit, your bank account could be higher if you sold. So yes, you are loosing money if you cut and burn.
  23. Oh be nice, they had a conversation and it obivously meant something to him. Better than meeting an odd fairy like you anyway, oh man I am funny.
  24. I just wanted to address the majority of points made by the merchant dislikers (I won't use hate, because thats a strong word). 'Its just luck' - Lets look at the dictionary.com definition - 'The chance happening of fortunate or adverse events'. If it was all down to chance then you'd expect people to be at the wrong time and wrong place and lose money, this rarely happens. Also, if it was purely luck then each person would have the same chance of getting 'lucky'. If this is the case, why are some merchants able to consistently make more money than others? The second part of luck I wanted to address was the reference to real life trading in the stock exchange. How the hell is that just luck? You need to know how the economy interacts with households and firms, how the inflation rate in mexico affects the price of coffee beans in Australia and how that affects the price of stock E in America. You don't just randomly buy shares and get lucky, if you did people wouldn't get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to do it each year. 'All merchants are jerks and make people pay more than they want to' - Its true that the majority (or maybe minority) or merchants are dishonest and deceiving, but its plain wrong to generalise such a large population by saying all merchants are deceiving and manipulate. People pay above average prices for products because its convient, time is worth money and if it saves them two hours to pay an extra 500k whats it to you? They can probably make 500k from skilling in two hours anyway. If you don't want to pay a price for a good, don't. Don't blame the person trying to sell it. 'Merchanting takes no skill, you just put stuff in the bank and it goes up' - While this is somewhat true (the you put stuff in the bank and it goes up), but not entirely. The purchasing power of your dollar goes down as more money gets injected into the economy, so really you could LOSE money by investing in party hats. Lets see an example: I want to eventually get 99 smithing, it will cost me 200mill. I have two options, buy my steel bars now for 200mill or buy a pink party hat. Lets say I buy the steel bars for 200mill, it costs me 200mill to get my level. Lets say I invest in the party hat and then re-sell for 220mill a year, thats an increase of 10%. Now lets say steel bars have gone from 600 each to 700 each, thats an increase of OVER 10% due to inflation. Therefore I am actually loosing money. 'Merchanting isn't a skill, you don't get in the high scores with it, you don't get XP' - Just because you aren't in the high scores, doesn't mean you aren't skillfull or well known. Also, you can count GP on hand and GP invested in skills as net XP for merchanting. For example, lets say you value 100,000 smithing XP at 10million GP. If you can make 1mill an hr merchanting then you'd be better of merchanting unless you can do more than 10,000 smithing XP an hr. Just because you feel cheated doesn't mean you should hate a whole section of people, you won't make a very diverse section of friends by doing that. I can't understand why people skill total, I don't see the enjoyment myself, it doesn't seem like its anything more than who can play the most per day. But it doesn't mean I don't socialise with skill totallers and I respect that they can have so much dedication. To get respect you have to give it first, well I am more than happy to say I respect levellers of all types, how about cutting us some slack and doing the same?
