Who damaged my signature?!?!?
D. V. Devnull replied to D. V. Devnull's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
Beamo, you have no idea how much work I went to originally to build my signature. Getting it just inside the limits was utter hell, to say the least. This is why I am so upset. I personally would like to see the offender 'pay' for what they did, because I know they had no right to do what they did, since I did not break any rules. ~Mr. Devnull -
I don't. But good luck on finding someone that does. I am sure they will show soon enough. Oh, and welcome back to Tip.It Forums. :) ~Mr. Devnull

I'll do that after I find out who. I want the evidence visible. ~Mr. Devnull -

Hello, Albosky, and all other Tip.It Admins... After being with these forums for near 9.5 months, I have suddenly discovered that my siggy has endured serious damages. The items I had in it were as follows: 1.) RuneWeb Siggy 2.) support for F2P bank space 3.) support for examine option 4.) support for new report abuse options 5.) support for F2P mage robes 6.) support for POH viewing by F2P The last 2 items have been damaged almost beyond repair. Also, the last 5 items in that list are all links internal to tip.it forums. As you can see, none of the above is in violation of Tip.It Rules, period. Further, I have not edited my siggy since the last time RuneWeb blew up over a month ago. So, I would love to know, WHICH ADMIN DID IT? I NORMALLY hold a seriously high opinion of Tip.It's Staff, but this has seriously shaken my faith and trust, being that I avoid violating the rules as a general rule of thumb. Please help me to get to the bottom of this rapidly. I am certain this was not a group decision. Best Regards and Best Wishes, Mr. D. V. Devnull

Like I said before, setting it for mage 35 will do nicely. Plus it will have the advantage to members of getting them to 40 more quickly for the better mage armor. :) ~Mr. Devnull -
How about we go with your open-to-be-defined option. 8-) ... Read on. Make Steel Pl8bodies or Mithril Pl8bodies and High-Alch them for profit. You will get 4 things for this: 1.) mining exp 2.) smithing exp 3.) mage exp 4.) a whole [expletive deleted] load of gp I think you will be happy when you are done. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

I think it may be a toss-up between that and lumbridge swamp east mine now. :? ~Mr. Devnull

Well then, you're gonna hate yourself later. At CB 70+, I have found that the Skull Sceptre is a life-saver, and it has pulled me out of many bad situations. The time spent to assemble that item is worth it for the 5 times you can pull yourself out of danger without burning up runes. :) ~Mr. Devnull

More F2P Bank Space! [BANKSPACE ACHIEVED!]
D. V. Devnull replied to Prankster_King's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
That would free up exactly 19 spaces if you have every event costume. If they did this, we wouldn't need more bank space, so I must agree it would be nice. Also, something along these lines has been suggested somewhere in these 81+ pages I think, but I'm not gonna be the one to try to find it. Actually, that depends on a person and their bank. :? ... As it stands, I end up with a maximum of 4 spaces locked up by random event items at any one time. This means the other 56 are all being used by items for combat or skilling, and even then, I still need much more space. Right now, I don't even have room for f2p melee and range combat armors, and I still don't have room for most of the ores and bars I need for my skilling, along with a few other things! :( IF F2P GETS MORE BANK SPACE, I AM GOING TO APPRECIATE JAGEX MUCH MORE AND BE VERY THANKFUL!!! Trust me, 12 more spaces will be enough for me to get by for some time. :) ~Mr. Devnull -

Mage 20 would be too low and would not stop those low-level mages from constantly owning the wildi against low-level rangers. :( ~Mr. Devnull -

Eh, more like he falls flat when you bring into the discussion a matter of 'common sense' and 'caring for other humans'. If Jagex really wants money, they won't think of money as an issue. :| Heck, let me put your back to the wall with the following question: What kind of game would you rather play (and stick around for), one where Jagex listens to their players, or one where they don't? :-s ~Mr. Devnull -

Congrats on doing a fast summary. I think you nailed it almost perfectly. :) BTW, not all chinese/japanese/korean are autoing scum. I may not be chinese/japanese/korean, but I am certain there are some good ones in the mix. ~Mr. Devnull -

We know about this, and are already trying to compensate for it. For example, with the Level 35 mage requirement to wear the robes, seeing as that would forcibly help maintain balance. :) ~Mr. Devnull -

So, are you in support? :-s And BTW, the right-click option would actually balance out the whole problem with oddly-typed names. As would, as you found out, cutting down the limit time between reports. ~Mr. Devnull -

Hmm, time for this... ***DV draws his favorite sword named "Kaitrayodai" and smashes lurtz1122334 into the ground with the side of a burst of 'Raijeiden Blaze', his grand attack, that for some reason, he's only using a fraction of the power in that he'd normally use.*** Stilev told you not to, and that's why. Hey, (wo)man (I don't know which you are, that's why it is written like that!), join the next rally when it happens. Then you can help gain support for this if you want! You don't have to just sit and wait. Stand up for yourself and take action! ~Mr. Devnull ....under my avatar, it says Male...and my avatar is a male.. Tip.It Times Presents: The Price is Right! Or is it?
D. V. Devnull replied to Kiara_Kat's topic in General Discussion
Okay, I've read the article, seen the responses thus far, and am having very mixed feelings. :? (And a definite hate of all who would say "bye bye" to f2p! :x ...) Here's my thoughts on the issue, additional points covered: From what I have seen on RuneScape with all the recent updates: 1.) Material Prices have only gone up. (Example: 150 gp ea for Coal instead of 100 gp ea.) 2.) 'Finished Item' and 'Treasure Trail Item' Prices have only dropped and thoroughly destabilized. (Example: Price for rune items has crunched. I barely got out from under that rock!) 3.) Some markets have totally collapsed. (Example: I can't find people who I can sell beads to anymore!) 4.) Trade Market Damaged, Autoers not affected much at all. (Example: The 'Pure Ess' Update. ~ Who does not hate that?) There are basically a few theoretical solutions to this: 1.) Expand F2P bank space from 60 spaces to 72 spaces. (My Favorite Solution, support thread link in my signature. 8-) ...) (This will result in more jobs given to 'Honest F2Ps' by P2Ps because the 'Honest F2Ps' will become more able to handle it. See the footnote below for my definition of an 'Honest F2P'.) 2.) Kill F2P and go P2P-only. (Worst Solution, and definitely not in Jagex's best interest.) (The real result of this will be the total and complete death of RuneScape. Everyone started out as F2P, and many would lose interest from their friends who can not be P2P being unable to remain on RuneScape whatsoever. :( ...) 3.) Use Shockwave Applets as the medium for RuneScape to run on. (Dream-pipe solution... ...) (I have no idea of what is involved for a switch like that, but I would hope that it could destroy some of the problems that Jagex is having with Autoers. :-k ) 4.) Wipe out trading of items. (Second-Worst Solution, and definitely not in Jagex's best interest.) (The only thing that could possibly happen would be a serious drop in the number of people who play RuneScape. There are players who can't get by, who play the game legally and correctly, without the Trade Market as it 'exists'/'is'/'has been'/'will be'. There would be a serious uproar caused by a change like that to the game. Their money is sometimes constantly low, and it is their 'life blood' that they survive on.) 5.) Allow gp buying. (Third-Worst Solution, and definitely not in Jagex's best interest.) (Jagex is trying to keep their hands out of the game. This would go against that policy, and would eventually lead to the downfall of RuneScape through an in-game economy that would turn into a duplicate of something out in Asia. :( ...) Now, please keep in mind, these are just what I can see, as well as my analysis of other's thoughts. I'm only human, so please, no flaming me. I'm just trying to take a stab-shot at keeping RuneScape alive, and fix some of the major problems, in part, by pointing out the flaws that allowed some of the problems to rise and flourish. :-s To "The Editor": I know you meant well with this article, and it did make an interesting read, but you might want to double-check facts occasionally. Thanks in advance, and keep the articles coming. See you all at the next article, and for any arguments that call my attention. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull (Footnote: 'Honest F2P' = Those F2Ps who really play the game fully and are NOT doing pures/macroing...)
