  1. The reason eveyone thinks its Marcellus' soul is because of the plaster on the back of his head. Theres some sort of old tale about the devil taking the soul of people through the back of their head which meant people put 2 + 2 together and got 5. Actually the plaster is there to hide the big scar on the back of Ving Rhames head. I didnt read the snopes link so if Ive just went over what it says then pfft :?
  2. This is slight off topic but, is it just me or does everyone get 'depressed' far too easily nowadays? Dont get me wrong, if a loved one dies or your parents get divorced etc. then obviously I can understand why somebody would be depressed and I genuinely do sympathise with what your going through. The thing that bugs me is when people get so down about the most silly things like "Oh my god I got an A minus what will I do!? My life is ruined" Sorry if that seems slightly insensitive to some people but it just irritates me sometimes.
  3. I've never been in a car wreck but once as a child I was pretty nearly hit by a Ford Transit van. It was during primary school at the end either morning break or lunchtime. Before we were allowed to go back in we had to line up outside the door in alphabetical order. My luck Im quite near the end, anyway about 100 yards away this van is driving along then skids, bounces off a garden wall(on the wrong side of the road) & then swerves again across the road & completely destroys the wall that me & my classmates were lining up just in front of maybe 5 or 10 seconds before. The junkie [bleep] was lucky nobody was hurt or even killed. The thing is he must have been going quite fast because the van went right through the wall, which was one of those really old fashioned victorian school walls that could withstand a bloody small bomb, like a knife going through hot butter.
  4. I was wondering, Im thinking of getting an Ipod but the problem is my computer is a bit old(not ancient but old) so it doesnt have any USB2.0 ports or firewire ports to plug in an Ipod. Is there anywhere I could buy an adapter or something. I tried looking but all Ive found thus far is wireless USB2 networking adapters :? . Sorry for going slightly OT. EDIT - Is it actually possible to use an Ipod with a usb1.1 port??
  5. Btw it's made by the same people that made champ man, but they just weren't allowed to use the name. Something like that anyway. How I wish I knew that before I got Champ man 5 :( . Its just such a poor game.
  6. Just joined as 1man United. Damn it took my a long time to get my team within the budget but Ive still got a great team
  7. I heard on radio earlier that it's thought to have just been detonators that where used. Which makes what happened today look to be some sort of sick warning that even after the previous incident a fortnight ago, London is still vunerable. It's just designed to further the fear felt after the last bombing - just like the numerous anthrax scares in USA after 9/11.
  8. Although I agree that every now & then a decent thread is locked unreasonably ( mistakes can & occasionally do happen), however on the whole the vast majority of threads that are locked are done rightfully. In my opinion its better to have a forum where the odd decent thread is locked rather than a forum full of spam & threads/posts that are well out of line. Sorry I know this is well off topic but has the chat room server down for a while or is it just me that has a problem? I keep getting "connection timed out". :?
  9. I think I had around 2800 posts roughly but that was over a long period of time. Although I posted my first 1000 of those very quickly, after that I've tended to sit back & try to only post when I know its a good post or Ive a good point to make, thus I now hardly ever post :P .
  10. Thats what Im trying to do as well. I was at the jobcentre on Tuesday but there was absolutely nothing suitable for me. Apart from job hunting Im just messing about waiting on my exam results so Ill know if Im going to uni or college next year. Not that Im too bothered which one I do :?
  11. I just saw it this afternoon, it was really good. Its alot darker than the previous Batman films & its alot more about Batman himself than about the villians (as was the case in a few of the other films). I like how it showed Bruce Wayne as a man who is flawed in so many ways instead of being some moral machine & how the film kind of explains why Gotham City is so riddled with crime.
  12. Scottish slang is bad enough but Im from Fife & we have some words that arent spoken anywhere else. If Im talking to somebody who's not from Fife I have to explain what I mean alot. :?
  13. -Well said, Paid in Full is great. Rakim is just such a great lyricist. I cant pick one album so Ill just post a few of my favourites & why I like them. "Public Enemy - It takes a nation of millions...." - Chuck D is amazing on this album he really forces his message across when you listen to it & it has plenty of great samples. "Dr Dre - The Chronic" - 2001 was great but this is a classic. In my opinion the best work (production-wise) of Dre's career. "NWA - Straight Outta Compton" - This is just a crazy album what more can I say, again well produced & it was still when Ice Cube was a member. "Nas - Illmatic" - Lyrically this album is phenomenal. The way Nas describes things so vividly it makes you feel as if you're there with him its amazing. Theres so many more I could mention but to be honest Im sick of typing now.

Ipod thefts been big business for alot of people for a while now. I remember they were selling for about ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã100 each at my local market (̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã300 or something in shops at the time I think) & that was not too long after they came out.
  15. Ive never really thought about it but to be honest it doesnt matter because alot of people who have learned English seem to understand the language & are better at using it (well on the net at least) than people who speak it as their native language.
  16. Well you can complain all you want about the advert but at the end ofthe day its obviously working as its getting people talking about it & as a result giving the producty maximum exposure. Its true - any piblicity is good publicity.
  17. I have to say it was one of the best games Ive watched. I had money on Liverpool winning before the game began & at half time I was really annoyed, but what an amazing comeback. Gerrard was immense in the secone half - he came forward alot more which got them the first goal & the penalty. I was worried when he began playing down the right after Serginho came on but he was fantastic at marking him. Carragher was brilliant too every time Milan looked threatening he was there to keep them out. Dudek was great too his double save at the end of extra time was mindblowing and he was good in the shoot out although he was way off his line for one of them. If Liverpool dont get to defend their title next year it'll make a mockery of the tournament after all its the Champions League and they are the champions.
  18. Oh well old Abe wasnt so bad, its just lucky I dont like to go to the Theatre  (he was assasinated at the theatre wasnt he? or was it the opera? - anyway you get the point). Well atleast I got a great film that I like :D .
  19. Ive been hooked on the contender since the first episode its amazing. I was so pleased to see Sergio beat Ishe in the last show. Id even go as far to say that Sergio will win the competition he seems to have gotten better & better, if he doesnt it'll either be Alfonso or Manfredo.
  20. I had my last day of high school on Thursday its such a great feeling to know that after my exams Ill never need to go back there again :D .
  21. Well I really hope that Friday the 13th isnt an unlucky day as I had my Higher English exam yesterday(friday 13th may) and I need a B in that to get into uni in September :? .
  22. Yeah hopefully the title race will go on right till the last game of the season like it did 2 or 3 years back.
  23. If your looking to watch great films Id definitely recommend Raging Bull & The Godather parts 1 & 2. All 3 are excellent but in my opinion Raging Bull is probably the greatest film of all time De Niro is brilliant in it.

I think everyone bring up the whole Nazi question is overlooking the fact that from 1936 it was compulsary for all children in Germany to join one of the Nazi Youth movements - it wasnt just a case not to annoy anyone but it was forced.(I learned this in History & confirmed it by reading the book I got for it). That aside I like the idea of this new Pope he seems quite committed to helping the poor & needy, infact he lives/was living quite a basic lifestyle which is kind of in the style of St Francis(one of the few religious figures I admire).
