Well I think its safe to say things are messed up in Iran at the moment. This combined with Ahmadinejad's defiance over the nuclear issue & his comments regarding whiping Israel off the map is making international relations a little difficult. At the end of the day though America/UK wont have to take military action against Iran because I reckon if things continue on this course, Israel will take action against Iran first. I mean its widely thought that Israel is the only nuclear power in the middle east, so Iran really should be carefull.

I felt so bad for Gretna they came so close. That tackle that Robbie Neilsen made for Hearts in the second half saved them big time. At least Gretna had the moral victory on the day - they played better. I caught little moments of the FA cup final, I flicked over just as the PA system announced there were 4 extra minutes to be played - I dont know why but when I saw the ball coming to Gerrard then I just expected him to score.

Ok just to clear up the cause; Rooney, along with many others has been using new addidas boots. The studs on these boots are bigger than normal and therefore grip onto the grass more than regular boots. Rooney was running the front studs stuck in the grass as he fell from the tackle which caused undue stress on his metataral. ^^ According to Sky Sports News this morning

They just conrimed on Match of the Day that he fractured his 4th metatarsal(sp?) and will need at least 6 weeks to recover. :D In exactly 6 weeks today England play their opening world cup game against Paraguay. So it looks as if he either wont play or will be unfit at best because you have to remember that he wont be able to train on the bad foot. Shame :D

Does that logic explain how Germany is then? Im just doing my first year atm, so I know exactly how your feeling because I had the same fears and anxieties this time last year. The best advice I can give you is dont worry and enjoy the experience of meeting new friends. Also its never as bad as you fear it will be - first year is really just there to get you used to the change from highschool to university and begin to introduce you to your subject.

If Im honest I really didnt mind bird flu when it was in China & Romania but now its just a shade over 10 miles from me Im erm a little anxious but Im glad Im not in contact with birds at all.

I read about it in TotalFilm too, that eye thing they describe sounds horrible :? Well personally Ive been telling any who'll listen that Argentina will win it and Ill tell you why. Argentina can attack with Messi, Riquelme, Crespo and Saviola giong forward goals aren't going to be hard to come by. Unlike Brazil they can defend well and they aren't above playing dirty if its needed. Thats why Im putting my money on them. Aside from Argentina Id say Brazil and Spain (but they always bottle it so probably not).

The snow has been quite bad here in Fife too, we got about 8 or 9 inches on Sunday. I had to go to Asda yesterday & had to help dig my Dads car out of the snow 3 times. I couldn't even get the train this morning to Uni because of it. :?
