  1. Caramel, Coffee, Straciatella and Rum are all great but my absolute favourite is Peanut Icecream! Too bad it's so rare. Every kind of ice cream is great with a caramel syrup. :-k
  2. Great thread :D In no particular order: Snowflakes Freshly mown grass Summer evenings Rain with thunder and lightning The Northern Lights (even if I haven't actually seen them irl, only on tv but I'm sure they're overwhelming to witness) Chocolate Ice cream Watching animals Listening to music late at night Watching The X Files ^___^ The figure skating championships :] Playing addictive games, like Runescape Spending an entire day reading an awesome book you can't put down I love the atmosphere before and after concerts (and during of course, but that's another matter) Going camping Seeing one of those (rare) movies that makes you forget about yourself for a while The Internet of course, what would I do without it and also and ideally with a cat curling up next to me. Drinking hot chocolate on a cold day while sitting in a fluffy big armchair Playing around with friends Lazying around on a hot summer day like this one The holiday atmosphere, both summer holiday and winter holiday have their own special atmosphere

Looks like I missed it by a day. I would have jumped, too. So what if it made no difference. It isn't like it's an amazing sacrifice, jumping around a few times. :P
  4. You had me right until here: Seriously, there's nothing concrete in what you said, just a bunch of abstract stuff. Whenever I come across arguments such as this, meant to explain the meaning of life, (being the suspicious person that I am and having had such experiences) I can't help but wonder whether you have an agenda of your own, like, for instance, belonging to a certain religious group that seeks followers. *Apologies in advance if it's not the case. I completely agree with what you said in "Chapter II", that stuff has been formulated before. But maybe I'm not enlightened enough (sorry ;p) to understand what follows. So, if we all become enlightened the world will end, right? But we won't be sad about it cause we're enlightened?
  5. Amen brother x 2. Smelting ftl. And mining is high on my boring list too, even if it's not on that list. Out of those on the list, fishing and combat training are the least boring imo. A fishing spot like Karamja dock can be pretty fun ^_^
  6. Very irrational indeed
  7. Yes indeedy! it's from Chicago. Hated the movie, wish I could hate the song too :P Hm, I am sort of ashamed to say that sometimes I like listening to Scooter.
  8. You can stand over fire without getting burned ....But you can't cross a shallow pond You can't climb a wall or a rock, or even jump over a small fence You can somehow make your hair not only shorter but also longer (at the hairdresser's) If you're fast and lucky, you can get to pillage your own body after you've died
  9. Norm where? In those communities, maybe. In the world, no. The world is made of different communities Meant more like it's been happening since the dawn of time, and it keeps on happening. It's been happening in the dark ages, only under different forms and excuses, and despite our 'enlightement' it keeps happening. 'Should be abolished' is the key word there. Such crimes will never be abolished, particularly not when they are made in the name of religion, or supported by cultural beliefs. I'm neither for nor against them, but I'm convinced of their continued existence.
  10. Well, you can say that it's f'ed up, but I wonder, who decides what f'ed up means when f'ed up seems to be the norm? It's a really blurry line.
  11. No, I guess not. But the idea that you can change it, on a high scale, change the minds of people so that such things won't happen anymore is unrealistic. And if no change comes, the dissaproval and regret of a few people will come to nothing.
  12. Maybe these people are nerds with too much time on their hands who love an argument for the sake of one? And what better way to have a never ending argument than pick a side that's so ridiculous (yes, spelled with an 'i' :P ) that everyone will be like 'oh, no, I totally have to make you understand the error of your ways!!!'
  13. Sorry for the double post above. I was trying to edit my first post to replace the word that was censored... It's in our genes apparently. Hundred of years of violence didn't happen just because of bad habits that can be mended.
  14. Killing was/is a cultural tradition in most parts of the world. I saw a documentary which showed recent findings that even the Greeks and Romans, who were supposed to be'civilized' sacrificed their children to the gods. We don't realize what a [bleep]ed up race we really are, us human beings? So why blame these people? It seems to me that if you revolt against a single case, you have to revolt against humanity in its entirety.

I'll add 'Beethoven's last night" by Trans Siberian Orchestra.
  16. Anything by Rhapsody. Well, actually, anything power metal. "Yes you can" by Jewel. I listen to that before exams. :P
  17. Ah there are so many, but for some reason this one comes to mind. It's really underrated (from Zoolander). When the fashion dude shows Zoolander the maquette for the centre he's going to build, and Zoolander goes in a rage: "What is this?? A centre for ants?" Rofl, so stupid and random ;D Matrix, Seinfeld, Austin Powers are full of great quotes too. Oh yeah and the famous 'Frankly, my dear I don't give a damn'. Hah, uber cool. And of course, the equally famous 'I'll think of it tomorrow'. I could live with that motto just fine.
  18. *gapes at the title of this thread* Indeed, good bands can never be the old ones. Cause the surest sign of greatness is when they break up after 3 albums or so. and to answer the question, The Beatles! (notice I didn't say The beetles. I agree *those are no good :| ).
  19. No one can tell for certain what genre Nightwish is, not even its creator. Fact. :P But imo it's more power than gothic :|
  20. Wow I thought I was the only one who saw this movie. It was so great. Could have slipped into corny at any time but it never did. It was just touching and beautiful. Amazing : ) Non Hollywood films ftw.
  21. Oh, wtf. I've spent like, days fishing in the same spot, ocassionally talking, true, but not that frequently, and got no frogs! Onlt the boring events come to me, like, the old dude or the sandwich lady. No fair! >_<

Hm, I guess even though I'd like to do something extreme, I probably wouldn't and instead just agonize over stuff that I need to make sense of. Maybe when you're close to death you think clearer. I don't know what's stopping you people from getting laid now and you have to wait until the world ends to do it :D
  23. What I noticed about guys irl is that they look at a girl, and if she looks pretty to them, they're interested to know her personality too, if not, she will get ignored. This becomes obvious when there are groups of people that meet for the first time. I've seen this so often it's like a pattern.
  24. I suck at orientation, so I got lost all the time. Start in a direction, then realize it's wrong way, go back, etc. Quite frustrating. First time I got lost somewhere around Draynor village (seems to be a popular place for that ;p) and I had to ask the only other person I knew played runescape at that time (and who introduced me to it) to find me and tell me where the heck I was. :P Was quite fun.
  25. Yeah, all the time. Most often it's "Blueshenka". Can't really blame them, though.
