  1. That makes absolutely no sense. Stands up to Americans? Americans are a great ally to the UK and have no reason to be stood up too. Maybe Blair believes that being nuked is actually a big deal. Uk doesn't have to stand up to the US because they're on the same page. They have the same beliefs. (I guess not much of a British government expert) They're allies and if you believe he has to "stand up" then why are we allies in the first place. Well, actually we've been allies ever since WWII when the USA helped us to defeat the s, and we kinda stuck together through the Cold War and beyond. Maybe we're coming across as anti-American here. I'm not anti-American, but I do feel that, as Striker said, we should "stand up" to the Americans more. You don't realise this, but Blair was actually bashed in this country for being sub-servant to America and Bush. We're not saying "stand up" as in become enemies - but we should stop with this blind following of Bush just maintain good diplomatic relations and question his decisions more. I'm certainly all for that idea - Iraq and this "War on " (foolish concept IMO) have proven maybe America doesn't know best, and shouldn't go about the world acting like its police... First off, thanks for not being rude like I had a feeling someone was going to. :) Second, the war on has already begun and litten the kindling in the Middle eat a war IS going to happen. Yes it's bush's fault but he was just doing what he thought was right. Just because Bush think he's doing right doesn't mean: A) He is right or; B) We should follow his every command Would you rather one man got to do whatever he wanted in the world with no resistance, or would you rather that person's action be questioned before they are initiated?
  2. I played it again on the GameCube when they released that collectors' edition. I have to say, playing Majora's Mask after Ocarina of Time makes you realise how great Ocarina of Time is. Majora's Mask is a great game in its own right, but Ocarina of Time makes it seem boring and dull...
  3. I managed to clock over 1,000 in a month last year... mostly on one person. I know someone that texted 300 in 2 1/2 days to one person :? Texting's far batter than using the Internet IMO. It's a lot more... chatty and friendly.
  4. The game needs balancing, I'll agree. But to do that through combat level would actually prove counter-productive. I started CW at level 49, and yes, I started by setting up cades. It's only by practising as a low level that you develop the techniques to perform efficiently as a high level. Combat level isn't necessarily a measure of how well you can play CW - it always has been a game of tactical and strategical awareness as opposed to a war. My personal solution would be to either remove the uber power of freezing ancients in CW, or to actually promote everyone to the same level. Why not promote (or demote) everyone to, say, level 80 in all combat skills apart from prayer? Then we actually get a contest going, rather than some level 100+ ̮̩̉̉lite ancient-filled clan against a load of random comparitively useless players.

  6. What's the point in spending ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã300 on this thing? It does only what an iPod does, with the exception on making phone calls. Well... my Nokia 3220 cost ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã50 on Virgin Mobile, and an iPod can go for about ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã150... so I can have all this technology for ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã100 less. This poll confirms what I have to say: GameFAQS - Poll of the Day
  7. The only problem I have with emos (and for that matter, other 'security groups') is their need to label themselves. You don't find me going about RS calling myself a Tip.Iter... I call myself Ginger Warrior. What's wrong with just being yourself? I never got the moshers' ideology - "We just want to express our individuality" - well in that case, why are you calling yourself the same thing, rather dependantly on everyone else? I certainly don't take the Mickey out of people who slit themselves. It's not a nice feature, no, but it's certainly not something that should be humoured on.
  8. Don't pretend like you know the chemistry behind smoking-related diseases. CO hardly affects the respiratory system of the body - the only reason CO is poisonous is because the haemoglobin in our blood has a higher affinity for it than oxygen. However, the amount of proteins that can be poisoned in this way is tiny compared to the sheer number of them. Nor does CO actually induce cancer... that's caused by carcinogenic molecules such as benzene and its derivatives. Also, it takes a lot more than a smoking ban to stop cancer in its tracks - there are millions of other things in this world that can cause these types of cancer. Having said that, you're right, it's a step to prevent illnesses such as that, but then ban is more to designed to protect those who work in bars rather than those who socialise in them. Call it Health & Safety, if you will.
  9. Um... well not really no. Since cutting down on the amount of smoking-related diseases would actually take the burden off the NHS, and therefore reduce the amount of money the NHS is spending on treating such diseases... And there's much more efficient ways for them to make "easy money".
  10. ... I'm with Dragontotem. I don't get ya. Do you mean an option where absolutely everything you could use to train the skill is displayed in one menu, for example, in the Crafting Calculator you want an option to put Black Dragonhides with Battlestaves so you can compare them? Apart from that, I don't really understand :|
  11. Be careful. Athiesm is the belief there is no God. There's another term for people who won't believe he exists until there is proof. CAn't remember what it is though. The main reason I'm an athiest is because I believe there's a scientific and logical explantion for everything that occurs in the world. Most "miracles" can be explained through simple science.
  12. The administrators of Tip.It took this decision with great care and consideration as to the best solution. As it was before, the boards were too ambiguous, and topics which could fit into both boards were being split across the two, resulting in SPAM. One thing I have noticed is the amount of topics per page as been increased to cater for the increased deamdn on the new General Board, so the problem of P2P and F2P topics competing against each other should be ironed out with that. As said before, the adminstrators took this decision after great consideration, and they've explained their reasons on the main page of the Tip.It website, and Global Announcements on the forums. While I'm sire your point of view is appreciated by the admins, I don't think they'll reverse their decision.
  13. I'll second that. Also, the person I love only fell for me because I was there for her when her ex finished with her and she needed someone else to talk to when she was feeling lonely in the aftermath. Was that driven by a sexual desire to be with me while she still wanted to be with her ex? Was I there for her because I wanted to get into her knickers? If you want to continue calling me that shallow, then that's your opinion, but I can safely assure you those were not the reasons we fell in love with one another, or the reason I still love her.
  14. That really wouldn't matter..... except people would be able to see your junk when you ripped your pants :-s Clearly the term means something different to where you live form where I live lol... and I don't really BTW! "The terms "going commando" or simply "commando" are often used in the United States, Canada, Australia and Great Britain to refer to wearing no underwear under the trousers." There's different contexts even within a country... for example something I say may mean something completely different to someone in Greater London.
  15. That really wouldn't matter..... except people would be able to see your junk when you ripped your pants :-s Clearly the term means something different to where you live form where I live lol... and I don't really BTW!
  16. No... I go commando :P

I'll make an exception, since this is your 16th lol. Don't blame me if a mod decides to lock this though! Happy Birthday!
  18. I turned 18 yesterday, when do I get my heart in a giftbox? So I didn't love my gf two days ago, but do now? BS. =D>
  19. Hmm... Pok̮̩̉̉mon D/P for me. If you live in the UK, I know a reliable eBay seller if you PM ('coz it's not been released here yet, obviously). I won't say their name here for obvious reasons.
  20. SSBM... and it's better than RS lol.
  21. Agreed, if a mechanism such as this was to come into effect, it would have to include the highest weapons to make any sort of difference. I dunno about customisable weapons, as opposed to just more of them. One thing I've always noticed about RS is its narrow-minded nature. If you wanna be a mage, there's only one way to go - ancients. Ranger - Crystal Bow. Warrior - Abbysal Whip. OK... there's other weapons, but can they really compete? I don't think so. Not to sound like a broken record, but one of the great things about Pok̮̩̉̉mon and lots of other successful RPGs is the fact you can use literally 100s of combinations, and everyone of those tactics has the potential to be feasable. Such a choice doesn't exist in RS... and for this reason I actually barely recognise it as an RPG as opposed to an adventure game.
  22. Well, Liverpool Council have asked for people not to smoke whenever any of their workers come round to their houses, but they've not made it illegal. Well, from the unanimous sounds of things on this thread, those landlords shouting "We'll go out of business, it's a breech of our civil rights!" (etc.) don't have much leg to bat off! I'm glad the ban's being put into effect!
  23. Why? Well I don't really "laugh", I just don't believe you can be in love when you're still growing and your hormones are stirring, too much going on. Not to be all soppy, but I genuinely feel like I do "love" a certain someone, and I'm 17. I know someone my age who's been going out with this person for two years, and they seem to "love" each other. The fact is that person I care about means the world to me, that doesn't affect how my hormones act. OK, I'm very mature mentially for my age, but that doesn't affect my biology. I personally say you can start to form those kind of emotional bonds with others at about 15-19. Of course, one thinkg everyone seems to have failed to mention is that different people hit puberty at different ages. I know a girl that only hit her's when she was 15, for example, yet another that hit her's at 11. The age at which you hit puberty very much affects when you can start developing more deeper bonds with other people.
  24. There is a possibility of a friendship lasting since both partners were at the age of 10 developing into a relationship, but not until they're at least 16/17. The fact is 10 year olds haven't hit puberty and haven't developed the hormones required to "love" someone in that way, and thus in my opinion, it's impossible for them to do so.
  25. What MRSA crisis? You mean that bug that's been hugely exaggerated by the media is actually dying off? The NHS is in the best state it's ever been, and certainly a lot better than it was under the Tories. The idea that the NHS is in freefall is just false, and if there are any stresses on it, it's because of the expensive prices of new drugs and an aging population, not the actions of the government. Blair killed Kelly? Correct me if I'm wrong, but tragic as his death was, he committed suicide. He certainly wasn't a 'victim' of Blair. As for comparing Hitler to Blair... it's like comparing chalk and cheese. Blair went into Iraq because he believed (and yes, I think he genuinely did) that WMD were in Iraq, and to remove the Iraqi people from tyranny. Now, I don't agree with him, but I can't fault him for going to war on those criteria. If ever there is a 'good' reason to go to war, those are it. As for Hitler... well I'm not even going to go there, because like I said, comparing the two is pointlessly stupid. Again, believe what you like. Stats show crime is actually going down, and where stats show it's going up, there are enough staticians and police officers to say this is only because people report more crimes now. As for prisons, I'm not too hot on this issue, but I hear Gordon promises the construction of new prisons to deal with this problem. As for the pensioners, that's a weak argument. Not to mention ironic. People have never received as much benefits as they do now with New Labour, including pensioners. I find the issue usually with pensioners isn't that they can't afford to pay, it's that they refuse to. That's not the government's problem, they had their chance to control taxes during local elections. I'd also point out it makes them criminals... As for the comment about taxing on the middle classes, I can't comment. I don't know anything about that, but if population votes a left-wing party into government, than expect higher taxes. It's basic left-wing ideology - more taxes, better public service. Correction... ALL races are asked to hide their religious icons in the workplace and in schools. It just happens to be the case that Christian symbolic trinkets can be hidden, while Sikh turbans can't (as was the case with that women at British Airways). If Christians are told to hide their trinkets while other races aren't (when they can be hidden), then yes, that's prejudism, but I've yet to come across such a case... Ahh yes, "political correctness". What does this actually mean? Because I call it by a different name - "being tolerant of other people's values and traditions". As for your comment about the EU, well I'll agree with you, but only because I see the EU as too much of a capitalist body for my liking, not because I feel we should have so much control over our own affairs. It's important to recognise the simliarites in our cultures over the differences, the EU achieves this. It's just I don't particularly like its capitalism-driven system.
