  1. Um... probably entered Taverly, as those gates had always been SO enticing. And thus it became my favorite town.
  2. I had a terrier. Then I had another one. And then I had another one. Then I decided to stop wasting gp on something I couldn't maintain.
  3. Only my favorite skills - Prayer, Herblore, and Construction. In that order. And then Summoning, because it's costly and I hate it.
  4. Mime, due to needing to pay attention and taking a good minute or so and only getting 500 gp. Molly's takes less than 20 seconds if you just enter, examine Molly while you avoid dialogue, and move the claw quick enough...
  5. I only cry when I don't understand, so I probably cried as a noob when I was walking through the south gates of Varrock and randomly teleported to Lumbridge with few items. Mostly when I die now I just laugh because of my own stupidity. I was taking the Dagon-Hai shortcut for my diary and I went in the portal for the Chaos Tunnels. I ran halfway through the maze thinking the entire time, "Man, that was dumb, I wonder when I'm going to die..."
  6. I like to hit checkpoints in total level, but I care more about balanced skills that I call myself a Guthix skiller. :D With the exception of Summoning (22) and Slayer (39! argh) all my skills are above 40. I would like to get them all above 50 after that. ;)
  7. I got an item: Ana in a barrel. I want less of item: Chores. Can I borrow item: Blue partyhat? I love QC, I hang out on world 160 most of the time I'm not with friends. Sometimes just standing in the GE makes me swap worlds as QC-only are much less spam-infested. All of my friends list are either real-life or acquired from world 160. And sometimes, as I first stated, QC can be quite humorous. It may be because I'm a grammar and spelling nazi, and I generally dislike the average RuneScapian's language (non)abilities...
  8. The only thing I dislike about the current world map are all the random islands. Lunar Isle, Fremmennik Isles, Miscellania, Waterbirth Island, Pirates' Cove, the iceberg, Dragontooth, Mos Le'Harmless, Harmony, Karamja, Crandor, Entrana, Ape Atoll, Crash Island, Void Knights' Outpost, and Tutorial Island. Heck, there are more islands than major cities. I'd like to see some of these incorporated into smaller continents, perhaps with quest-requiring barriers, as the sheer amount of islands is a little unbelievable, especially with such different cultures so nearby (the northwest). Jagex could toss in some minor unreachable islands between them to look more like Oceania (look at a globe). Look at the minor islands near the Lighthouse, west of Relekka, around Tutorial Island, east of Karamja, and north of Morytania. Also, a huge weakness of the world map is that you can count squares - Tree Gnome Village, the Fight Arena, and Port Khazard can all fit into the same size square. Waterbirth, Pirates' Cove, Dragontooth, even Shilo Village are all the size of this square. I'd say north Karamja avoids these squares very nicely; however, south Karamja is one giant rectangle, more or less. (You can effectively count these squares to get an idea of where your coordinate clue leads you, if you don't consult a guide.) Jagex could easily use the area north of Morytania for an entire continent with 2 major cities (Falador) and several smaller ones (Draynor). It wouldn't have to require a quest, and you couldn't get to it without a teleport or boat ride. It might be just as crowded as Keldagrim unless they put something extremely useful there, such as a bank right next to something that a bank is not already right next to (a mine, a POH, teak/mahogany, obelisk). In summary, less squares, more Europe and Canadian islands.
  9. Bull Ant at 40 summon will carry 9 items and lasts 30 minutes. Terrorbird at 52 summon will carry 12 items and lasts 36 minutes. Decide if it's worth raising 2 levels for 3 items and 6 minutes...
  10. I did Ratcatchers. It reminded me of Zelda OOT. lol For me, the more I got caught, the more I wanted to beat it. So it wasn't so bad. Except for the waiting. After the quest I wanted to try the Rat pits, so I went to the appropriate world, and not a soul in sight. Rewards are definitely not worth it. (But I'd like that quest cape one day...)
  11. Only places I know of are: Behind Varrock Castle Behind Lumbridge Castle Outside southeast Falador So take your pick?
  12. Use the Dreadfowl's farming boost if you can, or a higher boost from a familiar if one's available. Using marigolds, rosemary, or nasturtium prevents the need for farmer payment. Just grow them once and leave them to protect allotments forever! Grow herbs as soon as you can, or even sooner than you can (via Dreadfowl). If you're going somewhere, check to see if there is a farming plot you can use on the way. For example, if your POH is in Rimmington, there is a berry patch right by the portal. Take half a minute to rake out the weeds, compost, and plant a seed - no water required. The Catherby and Ardougne allotments are nearby enough to run, if you're looking for cheap methods. Of course, farming takes time, so you could woodcut willow, maple, or yew between the two allotments while waiting, or pickpocket the Master Farmer just west of the allotment in Ardougne. Once you can grow trees, do it, and dig them up so you can plant more. Checking health is the best exp ever - a good thing for a time-skill!
  13. Cold War was interesting enough to not notice length. Troll Romance was quick enough, and can be safespotted. I can't believe you haven't done Ghosts Ahoy! The Ectophial is well worth it - a one-click, infinitely reusable teleport. And it's short enough. Zogre Flesh eaters wasn't too long and can also be safespotted. Sheep Herder - at least the sheep herding part, I don't remember it all - was quite short.
  14. I was trying to quickly gather iron with a desert wyrm (I have low summoning.), so I had it burrow between every ore. When I saw the message for 30 seconds left, I hurried back to the mine. I had the familiar burrow an entire inventory! I started counting and I got much past 30. Finally I walked away, and about 30 seconds later it disappeared. Summons are probably a little buggy.
  15. I generally don't go for saving only time or only money; I do a bit of both to break even. I get a chance to think "At least I'm making a profit" or "At least I'm saving time", and after having done it the opposite way for a while, it makes feel a bit better about my method. Though, I don't smith much.
  16. Well, what if he's getting them for construction? Who uses anything besides oak planks? Best xp/gp ratio for the planks. I used teak to quickly get from 36 to 52. Then I used oak, as it was going to take forever anyway to get levels after that. ...Still takes forever.
  17. In Skill Creed (not a clan, just skillers using a cc) a bunch of people are going for 99 firemaking. I asked several times why, and they said because it's easy. Come now, where is the accomplishment in that? So you wasted a lot of time on an online game doing the same thing over and over with nothing but a (now) common cape to show for it. My goals are not easy! Example: my first skill to 70 shall be pray. Range and WC have a 9 level headstart, too. Gotta ecto some bones. My final answer: Firemaking. If that were not an option I'd say slayer - I have yet to see it benefit me (only lvl 39).
  18. I found tipit and stuck to tipit because people seem more educated than a monkey. I like to see people that use their head for something other than a hatrack.
  19. I don't hang out with in-game friends much. I Advocate Online Literacy and they... don't. Even the RP server fails to do its intended job. I like Tip.It. People here seem to be against butchering their native tongue so foreigners can't understand. (Interestingly enough, I find most of my "friends" on World 160.)
