  1. I have certainly thought about it. Get all your skills within 5 exp of levels and then make a quick vid of all the leveling... I'd do it if I had a video capturing program.
  2. 396 unlocked so far... All's Fairy in Love and War Jungle Hunt Jungle Community I haven't explored music tracks too much, but if I go to pick a song, it's one of these.
  3. I bless graves, answer questions, donate small needed items, and stand up for people being picked on. It's never fun to be called a noob. Just yesterday I was chopping yews by the famous cabbage patch and someone needed 10 oak logs on the spot, so I stopped and chopped him some. Today someone in the woodland needed rabbit snares, and I figure from now on I'll be hunting chinchompas, so I fairy tele'd, unbanked them, and brought them for him. I do this in hope that someone will do it for me if I ever need it...
  4. Dying. I don't do it often and then it's a mad race back to the grave, which I haven't bothered upgrading, as I don't die often.
  5. Once someone suffered a fluke death at green dragons. I repaired his grave and even picked up a few bolts he left, dropping them on his grave when he returned (after one repair :)). I'd want people to do the same for me. As far as arrow stealing, which has been mentioned, I pick up any arrows I see, as well as any drops left behind, but if they're asked for then I'll return them. I just don't want them to disappear. :|
  6. The point of that rule was mostly to discourage flame wars and responses that do not follow instructions. Even with all the repetition and format rules, some people manage to mess up. Ah well, it happens. ;) Last time I tried this survey (apparently the wrong forum), people threw in things about preferred religion and it turned into a flame war. I just want to discourage that. Statements such as A_local_guy's and life_mage12's are (seemingly) harmless. Continue posting! If I get enough information I will make a graph and see if there are any tendencies.
  7. I play for fun, and I have to constantly remind people that RuneScape is just a game. (If you think it takes skill to play RuneScape, you've never played GunZ.) Sometimes, if I'm going for a far goal (like 55 mining from 52 while powermining) I'll see how many I need to do and then estimate time. And then I'll do something else while achieving this goal, if it's slow enough. I woodcut or fish when I'm busy irl, as they are 1-click harvesters, and I only have to look up to see if they're going well. When I want a bit of excitement, I go to Pest Control. I have full range void, and I don't fight with mage, but it holds my attention. If I need variation and am ready to pay full attention, I'll finish some boss fights in quests (I've needed to defeat Contact! and Family Crest for about a week). If I don't feel like playing too hard but want to pay attention, I'll hop to mining or hunter. I fletch or smith while reading tif. Lastly, there are the opporunity skills, like crafting or herblore - I cut gems when I get them, I make potions when I get herbs. I gained a crafting level from a single sapphire from a random event, which made my day. In short, I play for fun, and tailor what skill I'm training to my mood/busy-ness.
  8. Jimmy, what are you talking about, I got the first post! Pics are coming ;) ;) I got Prayer to 60! 10 levels left  Screenies have been added, more to come when I get levels worth screening >.>
  9. I'm sure we all know runecrafting has the slowest exp in the game, unless you're burying bones or mining clay. And most of us here know that we get mutiple runes per essence, at certain levels. However, no experience is gained for these extra runes. Do you think they should give exp? It's true that giving exp for mutliple runes would nullify the effort some people have put into it, as well as decrease the value of the oh-so-rare Runecrafting skill cape. But let's face it - new ways to train skills have been doing just that in Runescape for a while now. If no new, extra-exp methods are being released, why not update the skill? Discuss.
  10. I kinda liked bots. They made prices low, and processing skills actually made money. But they always stole my ores and logs (very annoying at low levels). I'm a diy player, though, so I never really traded with other players (before the G.E.), I always mined the ores I needed to smith, or cut the logs I wanted to fletch. This was easy when I was gaining a level every 10-30 minutes, but now that it takes hours... I'm not too keen on gathering all that stuff myself. Anyway, I'd never use a bot, and I always report the ones I see (none any more!).
  11. I've been using my name since I was six, when I first came up with it. I made another character (a skiller I can use while doing something boring on my main), Khalyth, who was my necromancer back on Diablo 2. I have never seriously used a name with numbers in it - numbers bug me.
  12. [hide=Who Am I]I am a 17-year-old female going into the 12th grade. Some of the subjects I am taking this year are Chinese, Latin, Physics, and Drama. (I have always wanted to be in a play!) Some favorite subjects I took in the past were French, Anatomy, Psychology, and art. I suppose it's obvious my interest lies in arts and language! Logo designer, anyone?[/hide] [hide=Me in RuneScape]I play RuneScape in my free time, which I have a lot of during summer. I play it for fun, and thus have no goals of 13m exp (total) in the near future. I prefer having all my skills around mid-level so I can access most things each skill has to offer, without grinding levels for days. It's fine with me if I can't catch dragon imps or fish sharks. I don't really enjoy hitsplat combat (I go to Diablo 2 for all my combat needs), so I don't fight much. In fact, the only reasons I fight are to finish quests/level Slayer/obtain 2nds. I use Mazchna or Vannaka for Slayer tasks.[/hide] The Stats Combat Level: 85 Total Level: 1389 Quest Points: 203 The Levels 60+: Range, Wc, Hp, Magic, Fletch, Cooking, Attack, Defence, Strength, Prayer, Hunter [hide=Mining]July 19, 2008 [/hide] [hide=Prayer]July 22, 2008 [/hide] [hide=Crafting]July 26, 2008 [/hide] Diaries Lumbridge ~ COMPLETE Karamja - started Varrock - Easy and Medium complete! 13. I went from 51-66 without really noticing in the MTA. If you like a little variation, try it.
  14. All in Low Detail The roof on the brewery on Braindeath Island does not cut away. The doors to Rashiliyia's tomb glitch through the hill. The book in the Home Teleport spell glitches through your head. Unicorns are attached to sloped terrain; they lean. Mystic hats create tiny chat heads. The floor of the second level of the Gnome Stronghold does not exist. It's difficult to get across it.
  15. I think when I was new to P2P I just pickpocketed and killed Man(s). Herb drops were :o Stick to the F2P world, learn the new skills and new options there and then move on. Try canoes, Achievement Diaries, the Varrock Museum, and of course quests.
  16. I dislike combat, and my bank was already mostly organized, so I transferred my organized bank to tab 2 (because I didn't like having the extra tabs at the bottom - scrollbar issues). Tab 3 is for quest items. Tab 4 is for TT. Tab 5 is for anything wearable/wieldable that does not fit other tabs. Tab 6 is junk that will sell and is stored while my current junk sells. Tab 7 is arbitrary items that I want to keep in case I should have to use them, and post-quest items. Tab 8 is slayer. Complicated, but it works for my style of gameplay, and (naturally) you should tailor yours to work best for you.
  17. No hat, no cape, no wielding, no followers. Logical, but irritating.
  18. I'm rather new to TIF, and tried several searching attempts... I know each action in RS is a multiple of .6 seconds, but is there a database of the time for each action to occur? (like 1.2 for stringing a bow, .6 for throwing a dart, etc)
  19. Coif, Red dhide body/legs, Red [bleep]ed Vambs, Power Amulet, Ava's Accumulator, Ring of Duelling. Magic comp bow or adamant cbow, depending if I need a shield. Bosses: Monk's Robes, Holy Symbol, Guthix Book, Explorer's Ring (3), Ava's Accumulator, weapons above I don't really like Runescape's combat, so I'm cheap about it if it's required of me. (quests)
  20. I don't know if anyone is writing the guide for this, so I won't waste my time (unless someone asks me to! I'll happily write it up) as it is quite simple to transcribe. However, the rewards require finishing it all, so here they are: Beginner 500 exp lamp Explorer Emote Explorer Ring (1) - wearable in ring slot. Increases magic attack and prayer bonuses by 1. It replenishes 50 run Energy when Run-replenish is selected. This recharges after a day. Easy 1000 exp lamp Explorer Ring (2) - in addition to Explorer Ring (1)'s functions, it has 2 run Energy charges and 30 charges of Low Alchemy. While Runecrafting, there is a chance of getting extra Fire, Water, Earth, or Air runes. Medium 1500 exp lamp Explorer Ring (3) - in addition to Explorer Ring (2)'s functions, it has 3 run Energy charges, and it can teleport you to the cabbage field south of Falador.
  21. I don't like it. It's so directly infused with Smithing that if anything, it should be an addition to Smithing. Plus, it'll clutter up already-cluttered maps. F2P is a grand total of 4 large cities and 4 smaller ones, it doesn't need this. Being able to jump off a train would be way too convenient for Jagex's tastes. Like Smithing and Mining, once enough people level the skill, they won't be using each others' trains, so there goes another previously-useful, now-useless method of making money. I think if F2P was given canoes, Engineering wouldn't be needed at all. Speaking of canoes - watching your character ride a train is boring, just like watching your character paddle a canoe. Jagex realized that and updated canoes. Engineering won't happen. Hopefully, neither will sailing... (at Jagex Towers) "Hey guys, I have a wonderful idea. Let's nullify walking!" "Yes, let's just put in mounts and make it more like WoW! WoW is popular!" "We can't copy WoW. Let's introduce cars! They'll be kind of slow and you'll have to crank them, and you'll only go a bit faster than running and can't use agility obstacles!" "No no, let's put in trains and make it a whole new skill to go with it!" "Oh, that sure is a great idea! Because honestly, three spellbooks, fairy rings, canoes, balloons, teletabs, house portals, spirit trees, gliders, enchanted jewellery, ships, wilderness portals, death, eagles, mining carts, magic carpets, agility shortcuts, the abyss, Karamja cart service, random teleports like Shantay-Port Sarim, and other item teleports aren't enough! And F2P needs a reason to not go members and give us more money with which to pay our staff!" ...no.
  22. I don't get why anyone would vote F. I vote B, for the reason bolded above. I sure don't want to pay $5 a month if I can have it free! Sadly, P2P would win, unless someone pointed this little detail to everyone. I am a member and would choose to fight for members simply because most of RuneScape would overlook this detail (as already proven by this thread) and think only "hecks naw! stay loyal to members!" and members would win with their ice barraging and dark bows and barrows. Oh well. Ignorance is bliss, they say.
  23. Ava's Accumulator ;) Not really. Probably Prayer, as I think it looks nicest and has an equally nice emote. Plus it is rather difficult to obtain.
