Jagex being Ignorant? RWT Related
Not sure if your being sarcastic or not, but if not, good! It's most likely exactly what will happen, although I would expect higher then 100 each. Just look at tables :P

Ooo, that clears it up! Thanks, I'll have to try one :P :wall:

As long as your original, barely readable first post stands and people continue to post in support of it, I will continue to prove them wrong.

Your not doing well in your argument against mage :-#

Ok, just be honest. Have you EVER used barrage spells in PVP? Have you ever even TRIED ancients? Have you done so much as LOOK at the KB or Wiki page on them, or did you just blindly post this rant after looking at the max hits (62 for magic, 60 for range, 62 for melee, in case anyone cares)? *sigh* I guess I'll fill you in on how the spell works. I barrage, and the meleer can't move for 20 seconds. I shower him with spells until he becomes unfrozen 1 second after my last cast. I stand on the outside edge of my spell range, and click just after I attack, so I 'jump' half a dozen squares away as he is unfrozen. I then run half a screen to the side, and cast a spell after 2 seconds 'jumping' after it in case it splashes. The meleer NEVER comes within 8 squares of me, even if I splash or fail to freeze him; he's never even within ranging distance, as I sidestep the mage distance limit. Look, you posted this erroneous rant filled with misinformation without having even tried ANY of the methods, and without an understand of the basic concepts and techniques. I would suggest requesting a lock to avoid further embarrassment. Sorry, but it's very annoying to argue with someone who admits they don't have the slightest clue what they are talking about. And what are you going to do? hit 10's and 20's and hope they die? First if all, you are extremely lucky if you dont get attacked by somebody while you are farcasting, and the meleeer can put on range armour and mage is almost useless on him, and then guess what! Dragon Claws!!!!!!!!!!!!! Silly Rabbit! Trix are for kids :shame: Hence why no one PKes in crowded areas, your opponent will tele or walk to a safe spot anyway. Yes, I will hit 50s and 60s and 'hope' they die. If the meleer wants to hybrid with range armor, I will happily combo him to his nearest respawn point by hybriding with ice blitz and d claws. I take my pair whenever I go mage PKing. y'know, if you actually bothered to read this thread, you would have seen that all of your points have been nullified by my previous responses to them when they were brought up by others.

Yup, exactly what happened with pies and opulent tables. If the GE price is far, far below the actual worth, it becomes a merchanting item and the value skyrockets. Since tables and pies have recently been rebalanced, for all we know this could be Jagex fixing the problem in their own way. And it seems to be working quite well, despite the occasional whinings of people who don't understand.

Best melee training for lower levels?
Soul wars = HORRIBLE xp. Pest control = Bad XP. I would recommend monsters in the SOS like flesh crawlers, and as you advance, ankous then armored zombies.

That's the problem. You almost always end up copying something when you don't read, it's obvious when people do that - it's the people who swoop in, don't read any of the replies, post an already stated opinion and never return that annoy me. 2/10

Why do people relate charms to slayer?
Because it brings you much less money then other methods. Slayer is a 'fun' side; training it results in less XP and gives no advantages whatsoever. 90 slayer has 0 advantages over 55. Same thing for champion scrolls; is every form of melee training 'worthless' besides hunting for scrolls, because your wasting your time getting them at 99?
-
they are tools! lemmings i tell you!
That's why I stopped playing Castle Wars. Either you get swamped and it's impossible to win, or you Ice Barrage a level 90, and proceed to hold the flag the rest of the game. Play worlds 2, 6, 9, 18. The best balance of people; a good enough amount that you need strategy to win, but not so large that your behavior doesn't influence the game in any way.

Knight's Training
I wish. Hide behind the statues and heal with unicorn? In short, no.

That was an ironic intentional 'mistake', right? Do you merchant much? If you do, you'd realize that potential worth can be FAR more then previous values; opulent tables soared to 35 times their 'actual value' when this happened to them. Despite the fact that they were obtainable for 1m, they were selling for over 3.5. All items like this are kicked into high demand because of it.

Why do people relate charms to slayer?
Unfortunately, in the time it takes to heave the one large stone at two birds, three small stones can be used to kill 3 birds.

*sigh* I remember images, not people. I recall you posting in a few rants a few minutes ago (which I responded to :P ), so 3/10 And how can you forget the "arrogant high level who thinks he's always right (and, most irritating of all, usually is)"? (Hey, my opponent said it, not me...) :?

Why do people relate charms to slayer?
Yup, that's why I train slayer too. Unfortunately, that relates in no way to charms. There is no difference between slayer and champion scrolls; both of the require sacrificing XP\GP\time to obtain, and give no advantage whatsoever. You can't say 'you shouldn't powertrain because then your wasting your time when you get champion scrolls'.

Lagging on my Own Server Location? Grr.
Gladly. Jagex doesn't own the internet, and currently does not have the technical skills to fix any problems you may incur with it. Unfortunately, the people who frequently post in this forum tend to be rather thick, and this topic is usually brought up a few times a month

0, this thread still doesn't count

Lagging on my Own Server Location? Grr.
It's usually at least a dozen for another continent; the limit is 128 for the same continent, and 255 for another continent. Of those 255 servers, one of them may lag - and guess what! Jagex can't do a single thing about it!

Why do people relate charms to slayer?
Why does slayer 'have to be trained'? Level 55 is all you'll EVER need, and that low of a level can be obtained very quickly (and doesn't grant many charms). It's back to my champion scroll argument.

What's the max hit of melee from 10 squares away? If you want to continue ignoring logic, just answer me that question ;)
-
Why do people relate charms to slayer?
We are talking about charms, not combat experience. The 'average level', according to XP, is 92, so don't bother with that. To skew the results even further, most low levels don't bother doing serious summoning training; they see it as a waste of money. Slayer is even worse at low levels, with few charms and really bad XP; training higher on GOOD monsters then obtaining charms is MUCH faster then slayer. The brainless argument makes no sense at all - we're arguing about charms, not how much intelligence it takes to kill a specific monster compared to slaying assigned ones.

Lagging on my Own Server Location? Grr.
I agree, i have the worst possible game play every time i play it. I stay away from these worlds as much as possible, i prefer playing on the tip it homeworld anyways the people are nicer and i get no lag whatsoever. [/hide] "no lag whatsoever" on a US server from Australia. I get "no lag whatsoever" on an Australia server from the US  It is odd how it works isn't it? Ehh, like I said he's got a bad hop somewhere on his route that's giving him lag, something like http://www.traceroute.org/ might help him out with that. Still, it's not rantworthy; it's a problem with his connection, unique to him, with nothing Jagex can do to solve it.

I sense a troll... lol I agreee with you. For once :? Looks like this thread is dead? I believe I have successfully proven that range and magic are indeed far superior to melee; if anything, I could easily make a rant with "jagex hates meleers" and back it up with all the evidence I need :P I can has lock plz?

Actually, it's given a shot in the arm to the market value. We now have an opulent table situation, I wish I had a few thousand myself.
