GoP Luck
You can load this thread, hit "post reply", type "Lol whats gop.", hit "post reply" again, wait up to 2 minutes for the flood control, load the 'posted' page, get dumped to the thread, and go back to the forum in under a second? I'm quite impressed. As for me, I hit "ctrl+t (.2 seconds, fingers are naturally aligned there), typed "r gop" (my Firefox shortcut for Runescape Wiki) and hit enter (.3 seconds), waited for the page to load (.5 seconds, already cached), and hit ctrl + w to close the tab (.2 seconds). Total: 1.2 seconds, in ALL time elapsed.

The Two Faced Beast
It adds value, meaning it takes a worthless item and gives it a value. Junk has a value, it's just not equivalent to the market price - the very fact that it's "junk" gives it that value. I can borrow an AGS 5 hours for 500k and get junk, then turn around and give that junk away with claws for 5 hours. I'm not actually paying 500k cash for nothing but the AGS - the junk has value as a trade item.

3rd age worth it?
People do anything for attention these days, the last thread like this I spent 20 minutes mathematically debunking the OPs absurd claim he had 'billions' of GP yet didn't know what a spirit shield was (Of course, he owned 3 before he even knew what they were...) OT: Get torags

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=runescape%20gop&aq=f&oq= http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Gop Took me approx. 1.7 seconds to look it up. It took you many times that long to type that post.

Younger your are, less likely you can pay. Anyway, I view it as a good idea for another reason: more money for jagex = exponentially more updates for us. There's so many people devoted to CS compared to updates that an increase in money and decrease in subscriber base would give them a huge jump in revenue for updates\bug testing.

pvp with bronze daggers?
It might have changed with the random update (Doubt it, you can get them in your house now), but I have personally watched air strikers get randoms and KOed them with claws while their partner frantically shouted for them to come back to the screen before the update.

Points are too small; it's hard to divide them up based on performance, and it completely ruins the whole 'team based' aspect. We already have enough solo games; we'd have an uprising about the death of solo teams. It's a team oriented minigame, you can't kill it just because a few people don't pull their weight. It's a side effect of relying on your teammates; that's just how it is.

Draconic Visage + dragon leggs (Editted Question)
Legs 1/75? LOL, I've killed 6k with 4 legs\8 skirts. They would be crazily profitable if it was 1/75, you would be averaging a leg + skirt once per hour. D legs\skirt are around 1/400, visage is 1/400?

How famous are you on tip.it? (Over 10k posts)
0/10 :? Nope, this is the only thread I post on. I've only ever seen you in it, at least that I can recall. I remember sigs\avvys, not names :P

pvp with bronze daggers?
Tanking gear does the job just as well, your not going to be attacked if your standing there unskulled in torags and DFS. Air striking is risky, people who air strike think they are safe to switch away from the RS screen. I've seen countless air strikers not notice that their partner got a random, and ripped through their d hide with claws.

Any Chance of Allowing Some Users to Post Awardspac Links?
They or someone else could just as easily report the post. There is no situation where the OP's requesting a lock should have any impact whatsoever on the thread being locked. It wouldn't help - it's currently the rules that a person can ask for a thread lock, and it's used often by new players in H&A. Honestly, most locks I see (aside from bad links) are 'locked upon request'.

Fire Lighters
Mine certainly did, I got over 300 of them when I did all my clues from 2 weeks of slaying. I've talked 'hardcore clue' friends who have dropped thousands, and aside from you \ ping, I've never met or seen anyone using them.

He edited in the second, third, and fourth paragraphs afterwords. However, I can summarize this: He is complaining that people can semi-AFK and still receive rewards, making his team lose if the other teammates can't compensate. This is a problem entirely out of Jagex's fault, with no solution either suggested or indeed possible, and no possible discussion besides my previously mentioned one of finding a better team or simply "yeah, I agree with you". It could just as well be a questionnaire of "Do AFKers\people who do nothing in GOP annoy you?" Basically, it's a rant about a small annoyance with no possible solution and all the workarounds already suggested. There's nothing at all to discuss here, with no solution whatsoever on Jagex's part. He's not complaining that his efforts don't do enough, or that not enough skill is required, he's simply saying that AFKers and people who don't play well annoy him. There is no where in his posts where he discusses anything Jagex can do to eliminate them, and indeed there is nothing they CAN do.

Any Chance of Allowing Some Users to Post Awardspac Links?
Both of those are question based forums with high turnover - if a thread has been answered accurately, it sinks to the bottom quickly and few users request a lock in either of those forums. However, when they do, they may have gotten the wrong first answer - without a lock, they will be re-informed before the thread dies out. Threads should not be locked upon request in these forums. I don't frequent that forum, so I wouldn't know, but if it's only a request it should die out easily. If the first post is removed, it is now spam with no discussion value and should be locked regardless of request. This has nothing to do with the OP requesting a lock; mods make the choice here. In short, I see NO situations where the OP should be able to request a lock. I HAVE seen MANY topics with active discussion and an unedited first post with the words 'lock please' tacked on to the title 'locked upon request'.

So either they make whoever plays more then 100 hours pay a MASSIVE fee, or give essentially no discount for lower hours. People are having a hard time grasping that all of these methods have to result in them getting at least as much money overall. These are restructurings, NOT reductions in member fees. In fact, fees should be raised substantially for the good of the game - quality and frequency of updates would rise exponentially with a rise in fees.

Is this game worth playing anymore?
Far, far better now. HD, Summoning, GWD, dozens of quests and removal of RWT (Shut down in 6 months? No thank you.) plus literally hundreds of huge content updates have combined to make this game far, FAR funner, more playable, funner, with a bigger potential and a wider target audience then ever before.

Gladly. I used maxed stats against other people with maxed stats, so that eliminates the stats argument. I use the 'best' armor (barrows), as does my opponent. We both use the best weapon available, an abyssal whip with a rune defender. We both use eating tricks and the same prayers\pots, so that variable is eliminated. By doing this, I can pick and choose which variable I wish to compare; when I tested veracs vs. whip + defender, I had both people wear the exact same outfit except for the weapon, with another test run with DH body and a 3rd with proslyte body (Defence\prayer\both). Rinse and repeat for 1,600 hours, with numbers and logs (most erased with my old laptop -.- ) plus thousands of screenshots to back up results. I get very, very, VERY standardized results - we're talking about a margin of error under 1%. Statistically speaking, my results are VERY precise and accurate, with any extraneous results being thrown out on a case-by-case basis and outside factors eliminated. Basically, it's a lot more accurate then thousands of people fighting with various armors, weapons, prayer, and levels.

The average player gets hundreds from clues. They are very, very common. If 1 in 10 people burned them, like you suggested, they would have to burn literally thousands each..

Ten hours a day? Even Zezima played under 8. That will HALVE their subscription revenue, and possibly put the company under. Terrible idea.

Fire Lighters
Nothing compared to the number received from clues. I think I saw someone light 3 once, before they exclaimed 'wow, these are worthless' and dropping the rest. I've dropped hundreds myself, for every person who uses 3 at a party there's a few hundred people who have gotten hundreds apiece. They would be a junk item, worthless at any price.
-
Fire Lighters
Not likely. People drop them by the hundreds; I would gladly dump all of mine in the GE for 100 ea, if I hadn't dropped them long ago. Jagex would probably set a price cap of a few hundred GP to keep them from dropping for months, making them a 'junk' item.

Is my computer capable of HD?
It doesn't have much to do with your other specs, it really boils down to your GPU. A midrange 2 year old PC with a decent discreet graphics card will beat the stuffing out of an integrated laptop chip.

Soul war accumulator question.
They are NOT just like accumulators, they will attract 100% of your bolts instead of letting a few fall on the ground like the accumulator, even over obstacles. They do not, however, recover broken bolts, so you still lose some. Use addy bolts, broad break to often.

Ehh, I'm 70k off, I'll level it later today. Got 94-99 almost exclusively off of PVP, with a bit of mages + avansies thrown in. Do you really want to watch 1600 hours of unedited PVP video? That's 2 hours a day for the next 2 years of your life, in case you were wondering. Even then, how do you know I haven't simply cut out fights that I lost, or faked hits? It really comes down to experience and reputation, I can give you names of friends if you want them to vouch for me. I made over 300 friends at fight pits alone, most of them are now gone but Soy Suace, King Dan, Mooner03 and Santia can vouch for my 7+ furys and fighting skill. Not many tip.it people have fought with me much, but SirHemen and Pingum can probably vouch for my time spent testing various armor\weapon combinations in clan war, fight pits, dueling arena, fight pits, PVP worlds, Bounty Hunter, Soul Wars, Fist of Guthix, and Stealing Creation (Great place for magic tests. Oh, and did you notice that they had to beef up melee weapons IMMENSELY (+195 stab\strength on a dagger?), and MASSIVLY nerf magic (1/4 spell effects? Really, Jagex?) - and magic is STILL by far the most combat style there). Really, it's your level 65 magic, 95 combat, and 89 range and limited experience against my maxed stats and years of experience with every combat style and method. I've proven my point mathematically and on paper; there's nothing more to be said.

It's your teams fault. The team with the greater skill will win. Learn to get better yourself, go with friends who are good, or join a clan with good teams. Not one darn thing Jagex can do to make the team with less skill win, I see no discussion value in this (http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=783809): I'll report this thread, if tripsis handles it (which she probably will) take a look here - if you do lock it, good. If you don't, explain why - it's a test of the 'new' guidelines :P
