They probably would be a useless, almost worthless item; they are fairly common, and unpopular at parties. Most people I know simply drop them. They need to have a use, maybe something like I suggested, before they are made tradable.
  3. It's fine, I'm just getting tired of arguing with people that can't even DO the things we are discussing. Nezzy helm: +4 Dark Gloves: +12 Bandos Top: +4 Bandos Tassets: +4 I'm not sure where your getting +10, but when I do the math I get +24. Compare that to 10% of 151, the bonus without void. That being said, void is actually 15-16%; your 10% number is incorrect. Still, void has a 1 lower max of 77 vs. 78 with bnados.
  4. But it has 0 use, and I've seen a grand total of 1 person in game with a full set - not a very good investment of time on Jagex's part. If the platebody had, say, +8 strength bonus, it would be a hot item.
  5. Yup. If you had high enough attack to use an AGS, or high enough defence to wear bandos, or high enough strength to see the difference, you would have known that.
  6. Thanks for adding transparency, dreamreaper. I don't have photoshop on my laptop
  7. It isn't. Bandos > Void. Strength bonus also makes a big difference; the bigger the bonus, the better void does, because it is percentage based instead of hit based. Even on an AGS spec, it maxes 77 to Bandos' 78 and Vesta's 80, so it's not worth using.
  8. Forum Name: compfreak847 RuneScape Name: DeviledEgg24 Name to use on picture: RS Name Meh. Worst cropping job\brightness balance I've ever seen out of someone who makes a living off of photoshop. I guess it's the effort that counts :?
  9. No black mask in PVP, and it still aint 49-49 (And it's still lower then a dark bow). But that is the max, even outside of pvp, which proves him wrong on a whole new level. Castle wars brace maxes (I believe) 47-47 or 48-48. And it's PVP \
  10. You already lost the FTP 'debate', we're trying to move it to PTP to keep some semblance of a discussion going.
  11. It's not a bug. When you kill a monster, it starts its death animation. When that finishes running, the game calculates the drops and gives you the slayer XP for the monster, as well as registering it on the 'kills' count. That resets what you were doing. Wait until it dies before talking.

  13. He apparently watched the video howbad posted, and failed to realize it was a glitch.

Ehh. Jagex needs to spice up TT, period. Make firelighters tradable and rare, and require them in some sort of super potion in combination with other rare, expensive items. Maybe make it a boost for summoning, a few levels so you can summon something higher then your level once. Impractical for regular use, but perfect for just trying out an item.
  15. Yep. It's all about the timing; if you time it right, you should be hitting him about a second before he's unfrozen, so your next attack will catch him immediatly after the 2 second pause; you can run as you cast the last spell so you 'jump', and after you cast the freezing spell so you never have to worry about splashing.
  16. No, you wait 2 seconds and barrage them again. You people seem to have a hard time realizing that you can dodge a melee or ranger and freeze them without ever letting them get within 8 squares of you.
  17. He's kidding -.- Call them 'armor noob' or 'weapon noob' or 'strength noob'. Any argument they use against it use for yourself ("u have to have armor to pk lol!" "Yeah, and you have to have defence. Gf."
  18. That's interesting. I never knew that. Perhaps you could explain why? Obviously we are discussing non specials, specials are a separate issue that have already been discussed as anyone who has followed the thread knows.
  19. Because it deals far more damage per minute. It out hits obby roughly 1.7 to 1. As you gain experience you will learn.
  20. And ALL of those are vastly inferior to whip + defender. Your point? So a dragon dagger has better KOs? Use a second speccing weapon like claws for KOs.
  21. Lol? Drag dagger vs. whip? Dagger will be out hit 2 to 1. Trust me, I have more PVP experience then you have overall RS playing time...

*raises hand*. Farcasting is the power of magic. No other combat class has any real way of freezing.

Black d hide body has a grand total of 50 magic defence. Any good tank ranger should have torags legs\helm, an accumulator, and a shield without much (if any) magic defence. Tank rangers aren't this massive wall of magic defence - my outfit has almost 3 times the range defence! Then you should try it. Don't argue unless you've walked a mile in the mager's shoes. Stats are a measure of your abilities in a certain skill, and I'm merely trying to confirm that you have 99 mage\range to be sure we're talking on the same level. FTP mage is powerful, it simply maxes out too early. That debate is an entirely separate issue. I would be more then willing to do some testing against someone of equal combat level. I would gladly test both combat styles against a meleer of equal combat level and standard PKing gear.

Sidestepping also includes stepping at the edge of your spell range, outside of where a ranger can hit you even on long range. All of those are the obvious drawbacks. I'm discussing the technical difficulties, such as using the function keys to combo a spell and special with 1 click. Jagex's combat triangle is not an end all be all; I have held firm to my position that mage can beat most rangers. You have not provided one ounce of evidence, numbers, levels, or equipment used in ANY of your methods, and have indeed shown ignorance towards most of the finer details. My stats are in my signature; friends can attest to my 1,500+ hours of PVP experience. Welcome to the wonderful world of sarcasm. Parroting implies repeating the same (generally incorrect) statement over and over instead of responding to individual arguments, which is PRECISELY what you have been doing - you STILL have no answer as to how melee will hit without getting within 5 squares of the mage, or how range will hit when the mager is never within his range even on 'long range'. You are constantly repeating the stupefyingly obvious 'well magic can splash' and 'magic costs too much' instead of responding to my arguments of careful running, sidestepping, and dodging. You have never even mentioned your outfits and levels, this being the first time you have even MENTIONED experience; I have provided screenshots and details on both. Perhaps once you show your outfits and methods I can explain why you are finding magic so difficult to use; 99 magic, wolpertingers, and +15% magic pray all make for very accurate spells which, coupled with careful dodging, easily keep you out of reach of both melee and range.
