Ah. Wasn't really sure how often 'saves' occurred but I guess every 5-10 minutes was wishful thinking.

While I agree that shit happen happens and servers crash, I feel that Jagex doesn't handle them very well. Last crash, only weeks ago, people lost millions or everything if they were anywhere slightly dangerous. IIRC, it was fixed quickly and people were able to get back in-game in under 10 minutes but all graves were lost due to the necessary server reset. They could have rollbacked players those few minutes and but from the amount of forum posts, this was not a large scale crash and not many people were kicked off (compared to this one). So while rollback might be not a good solution... I feel they should have a different solution by now. It's been 10 years or however many. Instead, it's the typical "tough luck, enjoy your stuff" Jagex response. It's hard to find a solution that pleases everybody. I mean right now the RSOF is riddled with people screaming "omg don't do a rollback." If they rollback to please the people who died, the people who lost xp as a result will rage. If they don't do a rollback, the people who did die will rage. Those are really their only options. It's just impossible to find a solution that will make everyone happy. I feel in this case, since it looks like everyone is getting kicked off slowly anyway, they should have just shut down the servers and not allow anyone to play during this time. Then rollback to before the login server crash, although I don't know how often they save our data and whatnot so some exp/loot may still be lost.

There were also issues with the GE. People were able to buy without limits, don't know for how long, but it's fixed now. (hearsay :thumbsup: )

Created a new account to try this and no free trial. Got logged in at lumby and my confirmation didnt mention trolls Any ideas?

My set-up was based on the one in this guide: http://forum.tip.it/topic/308201-tokhaar-fight-kiln/ Since I sold my supplies I just shooped this. I entered Kiln with 4 rocktails as disposable food so I wouldn't have to deal with juggling supplies with crystals as muggiwhplar recommended. Some notes: * Mystic boots were infinity boots * One brew should be an extra tortoise pouch. * 2nd Polypore wasn't needed for me. * Probably used less than 500 blood barrages. Didn't keep track. * This brew/restore ratio didn't work for me. Tort died with like 4 restores and I finished with 2 extra restores. I guess the extra restores was meant for SS/Turm users and I forgot to adjust. Tort's inventory was same as in the guide but with Titan and scrolls:

Hmm, I'm curious if I did something wrong or if it was just really bad luck. I went by the same strategy: prayed range and used my magic crystals but got owned by the mage tentacles. I had most of my brews when I got here and... used most of them, as well as blood barraging the tentacles constantly. Also used every other crystal I had. I honestly didn't think I was going to make it. Even though it's all over now, I'm still wondering what happened :blink: . Were you using ganodermic and eek? (this alone gives you 67% magic absorbtion not to forget the huge magic defense boost) and did you actually kill the magic tentacles? I'm guessing it could be because I killed the magic tentacles when the head was down, and only had 1 tentacle spawned while attacking the head; the tentacles went down faster with soa using this setup than with range. I also forgot completely to check if the other stats could be boosted back up while using magic crystal, maybe that had something to do. Had gano body/legs but no EEK and visor. That's probably it as well as me having to stay there longer cause I only had polypore.

Uh... not sure if this is actually a regret but many many years ago I took my purple phat with me on a quest, Troll Stronghold I believe. Lost it cause I didn't bring enough food, decided to try to keep going in the quest and died (no home teles then). Now this may not be a regret cause it forced me to work my butt off to get enough money to buy a new phat, this time a green one like I always wanted. Also learned a bit of merching during that. Who knows what I would have done had I still had a purple. Probably would have trained woodcutting efficiently and not cut so many freaking magic trees... I know that.

Thank you everyone for your help on the guides and tips and videos and whatnot. I got my cape! And it was surprisingly 'easy' with luring and the safespots provided. No overloads/curses/yak (mentioning this just for those in a similar situation and are wondering :))

Hm? Didn't you already acknowledge you can't get effigies when you have more than 5 earlier in your post? Not understanding the assumption that you can still get them with 40 banked.

I second this! Earlier I had to watch videos to see jad spawn locations because nobody would have them listed up anywhere. Nice! Waves, pray recommendation, Jad spawns.. guess I got some stuff to print out! Got around to getting 79 summ for Titans yesterday so I'm in a little better position now. Better than nothing :D.

Just to confirm since I don't think anyone else posted back, Star Sprite reward does work on the sandstone. Got 62 today. From what I read varrock armor, juju, etc. don't. EDIT: Err Jujus do work.

I have been lucky recently and no one has stolen any spots from me.... but... one time... ugh. I was training Hunter at the dead of night. Doing some orange salamanders for the first time in a long time and it was empty on most worlds. One guy logged in and was afk for a bit and got logged to the lobby. He logged in a few minutes later and moved towards my trees... then proceeded to try to steal them when my traps failed. <_< I'm usually nice and will hop if someone did that but this really ticked me off since I didn't see any reason for him to steal. Especially when he asked me if he could "have 1 tree" because he "was going to sleep in 10 minutes." Really? You're going to steal my spot just to use it for 10 minutes? Since it was late for me too, I just gave him the spot and went to bed instead.
