Their 3 first albums were great and their influence to black metal is bigger than any other band's. They pretty much started it (and gave a name to it), even tho their bm was totally different to the bm of nowadays. Anyways, even tho their newer albums have been more or less junk, I'm waiting for Metal Black album.

I was mainly talking on Finnish army :P Like I said, we have a mandatory army here. Either you join the army or then go to a civil service which means like 13 months (I got no real idea how long, over 12 months however) working somewhere without salary. We have had one at our school's library for example. Our army is either 6, 9 or 12 months and every man (and volunteered women) has to go there. It is possible to serve there without a weapon. Basically you run and train with others, but you don't touch a gun. Might be a bit funny looking :P. I personally got to the place where I'm going "1 year too early", it was supposed to be totally full but I got there over the limits. I wanted to get there a bit earlier because I don't want to have 1 useless year. I'll finish my school at february, so there would be a big gap between it and the end of my army (when I'm able to study again) if I had joined in summer 2007. Our army is there to protect us. We aren't part of NATO and we haven't sent our troops to any wars. Some Finns are "protecting the peace" (dunno exact term for those people who do it) at places like Bosnia. They aren't there shooting with their guns, they are there to look after the peace. Finns haven't fought in any other was apart from the ones against Russia (we were defending ourselves in them) and a minor war against Germany (mainly faked due our peace contract with Soviet Union). Few Finns have joined in the armies of some other countries (Lauri T̮̦̉̉rni, a.k.a. Larry Thorne joined US Army for example and died in Vietnam), tho. In 20th century we had 2 wars against Russia and we have over 1000km boarder with them, so a mandatory army is a must for us. Without it Soviet Union would have attacked us again after they didn't manage to take over us in the 2nd war. While the cold war was still on, they showed a lot of interest in our place. There was almost 300 million people in Soviet Union and 5million in Finland, so we really needed an organised army. In Nowadays it's easier to be in our army than for example 40 years ago (more holidays, less running and smaller camps) and that's because Russia isn't as big threat as the Soviet Union was. My point is that not every army is made just to kill. We need our army to protect ourselves and we are only read shoot our weapons if our homeland and lives are threatened.

Important thing. Yes, world would be a better place for everyone if no1 had an army and we didn't fight, but that's something that won't happen. We have been fighting for millenniums and it's not going to stop anytime soon. Finland has a mandatory army (means that every male who is physically or mentally able must go either there or then do some civil service which takes longer) and I see it as a good thing for a country that has 5,2million people. Personally I'm joining army 10/7/2006.

I see these songs as ones that are perfect for the opening track, not just good songs that happen to be the first one. Stratovarius - Hunting high and low = Not really my kind of music, but pretty catchy song and a good intro in this song. Darkthrone - En Vind av Sorg = Panzerfaust isn't even close to being the best album from Darkthrone, but still had to put this song. Raw and brutal song that really shows what Darkthrone is.

Well, the joke got old and to be honest 5 mins ago (had to google some of their lyrics) I didn't even know that they had released albums after their debyt. edit: Anyways back to the topic :P Lately I've found a band called Urfaust. Really weird stuff, you either love it or can't stand it at all. It's raw black metal with clean vocals. On first listening it sounds somewhat crazy, weird and bad. If you keep listening to it more and more, you might start enjoying it. At Finnish black metal boards people divided pretty badly when we talked about them: some hated and someh loved.

Things that are better in RS: * Can be run on a slower computer. For example before I bought some new hardware (1 week ago 8) ) my lazy comp couldn't run WoW, but RS worked fine. Yea I know, my graphic card was horrible, but still. * Cheaper monthly pay * No need to buy anything Anyways, I might buy buy WoW the next week :P

Yes, I for sure want to make a bet. If you make it before I get out of army (I'll join it 10/7/2006 and will be there either 6 or 9 months), I'll happily pay you my yellow phat and 10 million gp of raw cash. I just want a picture of every level you gain until you are lvl 80. After it I want a picture after every 200k xp. This is to prove that you've actually mined ess and not autoed iron or something. I don't care how confident are you now, but you won't make it from 1 to 99 mining if you play by the rules and mine only essences.

They will be this years Finnish Eurovision band. Unfortunately. Been few times at the cover of the biggest Finnish daily magazine and I bet 95% of all Finns know the name Lordi. They are a total joke, but definately not unknown. They are mentioned many times (approx as many times as some underground band called Metallica) at Iron Maiden's book Run to the Hills, so I wouldn't call them really unknown :P Saxon is a bit older Brittish band, so it's not a miracle that a young (are you young? :P ) yankee doesn't know them. Worth checking out if you like NWOBHM music. Lordi is a complete joke at this part of the world and you should keep your fingers away from them :P Anyways, just wanted to point out that these bands aren't that badly known here in Europe.

Those robest better be something really great, it's dirty expensive to get them.

Gorgoroth has also been at the spotlight for few pretty "abnormal" things. Also Deicide (means something like "god killing") has done some pretty nasty stuff. No church burnings, rapes or murders, but pretty heavy antichristian themes, great music and nasty singer. They were first supposed to come in 2001. Still haven't seen them. Even tho I'm a bit sceptical (I believe in them when I get my own house), I'd rather wait for a fully tested PoH system and not get some buggy and useless update.

That would make sense, but you will probably need to do a big load of hard quests before you get the access to craft them. It's already pretty painful to do all the quests needed for death crafting and I bet blood crafting will be even harder.

Mayhem - De Mysteriis dom Sathanas - Not really an intro, but that creeping "welcome to hell" there basically shows that's coming. A total hell. Shame that this is the cd's last song, would be a perfect starter for this cd. Stratovarius - Hunting high and low - Made me speechless when I first put Infinite into my player.

Let's not talk about HIM and (old) Mayhem in same sentence. HIM is an MTV pop band and Mayhem was one of bands that has affected to black metal a lot.

Few inaccuraties: - It's rumoured that Euronymous cooked parts of Dead's brains or made any amulets out of his skull. - It's not confirmed that Varg sent those bullets. - Dead first cut himself, but because the death was coming so slowly, he took the shotgun. - Varg has said numerous times that Euronymous had threatened him and that was the reason why he got stabbed to death. Some rumours however, say that there was something to do with some girl or Euronymous' sexual behaviour. Varg has said that those weren't the reason.
