Display problems with at least runescape
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/196/wtfisthiscrap.png/ You see those dark lines in the four ge offer boxes? Yeah..those kind of flicker and wave and all that type of crap. It's like, static. I messed with my contrast, brightness, and color settings in a lot of dif ways, even reversed all of 'em, I'm pretty sure. Anyone got some tips on what I could try to fix it? EDIT: fixed pic

Need some help with gaming framerate
Oh I get you, yeah, 220W max :|..... But hey, now I understand better how to build comps. One last thing though, if I were to spend ~$1000 usd on a computer, how much better would you say a comp would be at the same price if you built it from the ground up? %-wise I guess.

I just realised you're atd. Also, got about a 3 inch slot, pretty positive its for a gfx card. Black, looks like those two in that pic. >what PSU As in? And uhm, is it pretty straightforward when installing? Plug in and install any drivers?

So then, I'm looking at newegg.com, and I can't tell wtf is gonna work with Skyrim and what isn't..I'm sure most would, is that all it req's is a card that is DirectX 9.0c compliant?

Need some help with gaming framerate
Yeah that's what I was thinking, and I would say my comp has it. I just want to know the absolute cheapest and/or best deal gfx card that will work with Skyrim. Also, Skyrim is run with DirectX, for some reason my computer has EXTREMELY bad problems running directx. Maybe I should update it, is that possible?

Would I be able to see a gfx card inside my computer, near the fan/below the fan?

Need some help with gaming framerate
D'uhh.. Speaker and mic ports, then ethernet, modem, usb ports above that, and above that are mouse and keyboard, with monitor on top. It's integrated innit.. EDIT: Well, I just found something, browsed through hardware and found this: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 <-display adapter apparently? Wrong thing amirite? Right place to look? I don't see anything else that I could consider being a gfx card or whatever my comp'd list it at. However, my comp got *basically* hit by a lightning strike and it at least fried the modem, the modem doesn't show up on my comp anymore.

Need some help with gaming framerate
I swear I had an actual graphics card, but I could be wrong. It doesn't list it in comp specs, so.. Well what would be a decent one to get for my comp? That's compatible with all that, and it's an HP desktop.

How would I know, or change from integrated gfx? And what's strange is my graphics controller or something, is NVidia.. I just updated the driver today, thinking it'd help.. EDIT: Herp. I get you now. Integrated gfx card..idk.. Man that sucks, I think you're right. Built into motherboard probably.

Need some help with gaming framerate
Well, I bought Skyrim over Christmas, and just got internet so I've tried everything to get the damn thing to work.. Absolute min gfx do nothing. What is my comp lacking tbh? My specs: AMD Sempron 2.20GHz processor 2gb(x2) dualcore RAM 64-bit W7 op sys.. The hell is wrong with this? I can max everything nearly in Guild Wars and play with hardly any lag.. Skyrim will look like crap and still lag like it's running on a comp from the 80s. EDIT: Hell, my cpu usage even says it's at about 58%, and RS goes up to 85-90+ always, still doesnt lag like Skyrim

Are these two items really worth it... for me?
You aren't at near-best until you can key that fast, you mean. You can be good without that. DGS certainly doesnt have 25 min larges either, unless you get those teams with f52 and 3 binds. GumChew1 keyed a handful of larges and was consistently 20 mins or so ea. Best time I've ever had dungeoneering. According to Obtaurian he's bad at DGE. I lol'd at DGS. I don't want to chat in DGS. The people are what I dislike about it, the fact that it's kinda hard to come to a DGE chat to find a floor in an hour or two just adds onto it. Even "the best" isn't that good, in terms of dungeoneering, is my point overall, Ezkaton. Just leave it at this, please. It's getting off-topic :).

Aside from Nex, because idk what the hell you use to kill it, and Corp, there are only bosses that will make Rapier worth getting. And those bosses also can be killed with a CLS, but that's not the point. He has all these skills that cost a lot already rather high, the only thing he's missing could be high-lvl gear which is buyable. Bossing can help with the money, but it isn't required. If he "needs" to have a chaotic for it (which is basically only Nex if anything), then he can probably avoid that boss, and use a whip everywhere else. The time spent dungeoneering is so not worth getting 10 more kills per hour. Everywhere he can use it at is low-income and quite easy. He does not need a Rapier. EDIT: That high-level gear I mentioned, it's only good for bossing ;).

Strict? No. Bossy, probably. If it's not for you, ok. But you should realize that your not-enjoyment of the skill is likely caused by your inability to dg well. It usually is. And that is why I dislike DGS and Grimy Bunyip. I'm good at Dungeoneering. I can cope with W117 better than wasting 40+ minutes per floor trying to set a team up in DGS chat. At that point it is MORE EFFICIENT to use W117 for a one-hour large. And it's almost apparent that they just think they're the best, and everyone that disagrees is the worst. <- biggest reason not to set foot near these people. Insulting people that you want to come into your chat to help you find teams faster will never help you. Become leniant, less aggressive, but still educate people on what is the best and what they should do to be better. You'll have better results.

I knew you were familiar. Again, I've seen rapier fail much harder than CLS -anywhere-. Unless you have -the best- skill-boosting prayers/pots/gear, it isn't good. He does have it, but because of that it makes a bronze sword turn into a dragon scim. Just think of what he cares to do with his time and the fact that whip will be better than it normally is. Don't compare a superpowered rapier to a person only equipped with a whip.

I figured I might want to add that DGS has really specific requirements, and is very bossy. I don't want strictness when training a skill I already don't like. On top of that, 9/10 times I've gone to DGS, there was no one dungeoneering, or only one group of people doing a few floors. It isn't really convenient or helpful for quickly leveling. It is about 15-30% faster than W117 for larges, and the dungeons seem to work out better usually. But I'd always rather do a W117/148 large than set foot in a DGS-controlled dungeon.

Are these two items really worth it... for me?
I'll keep it simple, if possible. Chaotic Rapier is much like a ZS. It's multifunctional, and pretty decent. It isn't the best everywhere, but it can be used almost anywhere. My complaint comes with it's accuracy. Speed is supposedly such a huge factor for damage output. I disagree depending where it is.. CLS has been kinder to me and is multifunctional at more bosses than a maul or rapier, and is also quite good for other things. CLS has higher everything except speed, and isn't much slower. I think the accuracy and damage per hit bonus it has over rapier makes up for the loss of speed. My opinion on that is get CLS and not a Rapier, especially if you may not be doing Slayer anymore. Even then CLS isn't that bad, but Rapier + Ovl and fsh is probably better, due to the constant high gain of stats. Dungeoneering can be a pain, it can also be fun when done correctly. But at that same time, the fun is not common even under special circumstances. If you find it's not worth getting 120 Dungeoneering and do not really require 'frosts for money' or a chaotic, I'd say it isn't worth it at this time. Onto SW cape.. I think that if you can afford to use prayer potions, Fire cape is much better, and Bandos set is even better with Turm and Ovl. The way SW cape comes into Rs is when you are limited on inv space, or you require more healing-type items than prayer, for camping. For instance, you could use a better damage setup for gear, and use less food possibly, or just last less time due to lack of prayer. It's not really necessary, but it isn't too-too hard to get. I think that you may spend 3-10 hours getting it once, but you can use it for more than 3-10 hours later. Efficiency would say "Would it really save you 3-10 hours of time?", questioning if it would be worth it. It's so mediocre that in most cases, it really wouldn't. But it's welfare-type gear for bossing. If you want Torva at some point, or an elysian/divine drop, or perhaps something else later from updates, you should spend your time a bit on this cape. If you think there will be other ways for you to make money or get to where you want to be in Rs, don't even bother. Overview: Rapier = Near useless to you at this point, Chaotic c'bow/CLS = better option I think. But if you can cope without that slight bonus and won't be bossing majorly, it definitely isn't worth your time training that skill much. SW cape = Can definitely be worth it in the long-run, but again, Fire cape can usually be better unless you are compromised on campability/inv space. It shouldn't be horribly spendy to get this, but in 'efficiency terms', it probably won't save you much time or money.

So then it was entirely unexpected, they need to fix that then :/. Can't be losing my dungeoneering binds all the time. PROTIP: Jmod confirmed- If you lost your item binds in dungeoneering, submit a bug report about it and they may look into it, possibly returning lost items. I've already done that, and I'm hoping they'll do something about it.

Once again Toad is correct with his guesses. Thank god the crashing and stuff is over with RS. Though the new hiscores is still hella glitchy. The update -may- have been planned for Monday, but the server crash thing was something entirely separate. Unless Jagex pursues this, I don't think it won't happen again. As for the new "cc's" updates, ugh.... Thoroughly annoyed at the layout, the size of icons, etc. They're cramming too much into a small interface. Also, Devnull, this topic was watched closely by moderators. Nothing was done wrong, and most people kept the topic to the matter at hand.

I'm glad the heat is gone, the outcome from this was minor. I hope everyone feels better now. (Deo made me Prom 2h/plate, so I'm in love again).
