Either go for yew longs or mage longs. If you want, you can craft green/blue/red/black dhide bodies and alch those as well. Anything else is not really worth it :P If F2P, go with steel plates or something, not really sure about that though...

Which would be faster exp? I heard that monks are nearly as fast as trout/salmon, but I have yet to try it out. I'm not really crazy about fishing, but I'm planning on getting it to 99 after I finish attack. Also, monks would be much better cooking exp than salmon/trout, but it's really the fishing exp that I'm after.

If you invest enough and keep your approval up, you can easily make 2-3 times what you invest ;)

I would probably recommend fly fishing, then selling those and buying lobs/sharks to cook (to cover the cost of burned), but if you guys say monks are nearly as fast, then go ahead with those. Even if you do burn some, you will definitely still have enough for 99.
