Don't bother merchanting now; only noobs, scammers, and lurers do it now. It used to be a good way to make money over 2 years ago. Now it's just a waste of time. Enjoy standing around and wasting a few hours.

Imo I find the same skill total with a higher combat more impressive, only because I despise lvl 3 "pure skillers" for some reason (don't ask why).

This just shows how flawed the combat system is. On rare occasion, this will happen, but it really shouldn't. Pking isn't all stats; it's also about skill.

99 def + range owns 99 att and str any day...

Warrior helm is by far the better choice. It only costs 50-70k, whereas d med is 400k+. Also, warrior gives some att bonus, which is much better than the extra few def points the med has. An even better choice would be a berserker so you hit higher...it has +3 str.

I killed it on my pure with 33 def and 42 combat with fire bolt. I was wearing mage robes and only used like 5-10 lobs. It's really not hard; you're doing something wrong.

Some higher-end graphics programs (such as photoshop) will allow you to make animated gif's. I'm not sure if there's a guide on this forum :-k

Monks robes are recommended because the small pray bonus doesn't make as much of a difference as maging in armor does. Sure, you will still hit, but robes will be much more accurate. You don't have to pray against ahrim, at least not in black hides. I suppose you wouldn't have to with red either :?

It's possible to do it at any level, as long as you have 43+ prayer. All you need is 13+ mage if your melee stats aren't that great. If you have higher melee stats, you can do it with 1 pray, as I did on my rune pure :P

I wonder how you manage to get past verac without ancients/entangles.
