79 magic/74 summoning/69 DG is probably closer to mid-level than high-level, by the definition you seem to be using. Either way... Have you considered resources? There's no clean divide between high and low level resources like there is with gear in your scenario, and anyone who wants to make the jump from mid-levels to high has their work cut out for them even without this: I don't think anyone's expecting bronze to go for a million a set, dragon bones spiking to 10k each is another story (Sure, they'd be a good moneymaker, but trope.

Lol thatS pretty funny, but that's going to be most of the community. This is a roleplaying minigame I think. I'm worried people might not play by the 'rules'. Roleplaying only works if everyone plays by the rules, and even then it's only as good as the weakest player (If RP communities ever seem viciously elitist, they have a very good reason for it) Unfortunately, we have an entire community of players that could not possibly give less of a shit about either the rules or roleplaying.... And they're going to kill this thing, aren't they? :-(

No, but by allowing them to develop this will probably cost development resources on other updates that are already overdue. ...Damn it, I wanted to post that. :-( If it really was "don't like it don't use it", I'd vote for this thing: choice is good. If there's even a chance that it'll cause some updates we've been waiting a couple of years for to be delayed, or if they end up being half-assed... Then what's the point, really? Is it really worth sacrificing features from the current game to pander to players who quit years ago or who are already playing it in OSRS? If they were going to do something like this, they should have done it during the EoC beta.

Quick question: Do they have a way to make this happen without it being unbalanced in either direction, siphoning developer manpower away from all of the other updates that got delayed to this year, or being completely redundant because Momentum and OSRS both exist?
