  1. I have had 2 dragon drops in the my online duration on Zatrance. 2 shield left halves both from Fire Gaints. :) I don't consider myself lucky really, as they are the only good drops I've ever had.
  2. I'll add the extra info, ta. And sorry about the gender mixup  Girl power FTW eh. :D Holy Monk, Jangerberries are OK material for Super Compost, however it is far more difficult to obtain them as oppose to Pineapples. If you can grow Jangerberries, I suggest putting them in the compost bin. :)
  3. I don't think Hunter will all be based on slaughtering creatures/beasts, because, as Jagex said, they are not moulding the skill on killing animals, as not to provoke complaints. So I think it will be revolved around more catching creatures and/or taming them and using them to your advantage. :)
  4. Thanks for the feedback peeps, it's appreciated. :3> Diophobus, I did mention the Charter ships for collecting Pineapples, but I will add the stock and price. Thanks for that. :) Faelenof - Thanks for that farming route, it seems very efficient indeed, I'll add it to the guide and credit you. :D
  5. Quoting my guide for AOW qualification. Thanks to Faelenof for contributing her personal Farming route when harvesting Ranarrs, if you have done the required quests, that route is great. I suggest you experiment with these two farming routes or even make up your own and decide which route is best for you. :D ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Experience Gained] Exp from using Compost l 18 exp (4.5 exp from filling buckets of Compost) Exp from using Super Compost l 29 exp (8.5 exp from filling buckets of Super Compost) Exp from planting Ranarr Seed l 26.5 Exp from Harvesting l 30.5 As you can see, you gain moderate exp from planting and harvesting Ranarr seed/s/weeds. Of course, there are many other seeds and crops that better this exp, but after planting and harvesting a few times, you will see the sparks dancing above your head. Considering this is a guide aimed at making money from farming Ranarr weeds, it is a win-win situation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Conclusion] So there you have it, how to grow your very own Ranarrs - a unique money making method, after a few times of doing this simple process, you will gather quite a few ranarrs, and will be pleasantly shocked when you notice a huge pile of Ranarrs in your bank crying out to be Prayerpot-afied (ya rly) which nets you some hefty Herblore exp and all that m00lah from those sought after Prayer Potions. The current prices of Prayer Potions are around 6-7.5k for (3) dose Potions, and around 7-8.5k for (4) dose Potions. I believe Ranarr Weeds are around 5-7k per. (Be aware that these prices are not stable or 100% accurate, but simply an educated guess from previous observations/price guides) An example of the profit; I buy 1 Ranarr seed for 20k, I plant this 1 seed at Falador Herb patch, it survives, considering I used Super Compost, I get minimum 5 herbs. If I sell these 5 herbs for 6k each, (5x6k=30k) I get 30k from a seed I bought for 20k, instant 10k profit. In the past, the most herbs I have gotten from one harvest is 12, I didn't buy the seed, but if I did (again at 20k) 12x6k=72k, 72k-20k=52k profit. If I plant 5 Ranarr seeds (most possible, as 5 herb patches in RS) And I got an average harvest of 7 herbs (again assuming I paid 20k per seed) 7(herbs)x5(patches)=35(herbs) 35x6(k)=210(k) 20(k)x5(patches)=100k, 110k profit from 1 round of farming. If you did not buy the seeds, you gain all profit. This novice process can be repeated on a much bigger scale, such as planting a Ranarr seed everyday for 1 month, this can result in collosal profit. So whether you simply want to grow your Ranarrs and sell them straight from the Allotment, or get some Herblore exp and sell your Prayer Potions for a healthy sum, it's up to you! Other alternatives are to use your own home made Potions to use on other Prayer demanding games and tasks such as Barrows or Metal Dragons in order to make a bigger profit, of course that is all a luck game. I used around 30 Prayer potions on Barrows (at the same time being quite unexperienced) and looted Dharoks Legs and Karil's Xbow. This is, of course, an awesome way to use those Prayer Potions if you want an adrenaline rush and some stunning rewards. Thank you for reading my guide on how to Grow Ranarr weeds, this is my first guide, so go easy on me. I appreciate all constructive criticism and comments/compliments. :D Credits Zatrance for taking all pictures and writing this guide :D Jagex for making RS Tip.it for being teh best RS site evar leik! teh 1337ness k?12!7 Ventuzz for suggesting to add how to get the Ranarr seed TheEvilGizm0 for suggesting adding a farming route/maps Fealenof for contributing another farming route Deiophobus for providing the stock and prices of pineapples in shops.
  6. Awesome guide, I :3> the pics! I still think ROD (Ring of Duelling) > ROL (Ring of life) This is why ; The scenario; you have just been ice barraged and had 2 DDS specs unleashed on you, you are at 30hp and are super poisend, you manage to scramble to the mage and get into the Nature rift. A 6 splats on your screen, eh oh ... I know, ecto! *Teleports* *^45* arrgh! Out of energy *walks humbly to Port Phasmatys bank, 1 minute later, you reach the bank door. Oh dear you are dead. It's pretty hard to get back to Port Phasmatys without your trusty Ecto, so your attire and invent (glory, dhide, pouches etc) are pretty much lost. Scenario 2; You forget to replace your Glory with a new one with charges, ROD cuts your time by a massive percentage if you simply tele to CW, unlke ectoing, granted, you can you the HomePort tele, but the bank is still a short while away. ROL; Yes, can save your items, wehn you are TBed, snared and some demented PKer is running up to you, dds in hand, it's really not much use, as said, the Drop'n'save technique is not 100% safe. ROL can no tele you to a bank like ROD, so if you forget to change your Glory and you have to wait for HomePort tele = :? Anyways that's just my 2 cents.
  7. I completely echo your statement. I always gather every coin and all stackable items such as runes no matter how low they are. I usually leave steel items such as steel axes at Fire Giants because I either have no room, but it also doesn't alch for the same/more than 1 Nature rune. Sometime when I camp at Fire Giants, poeple leave all drops bar the good ones of course, I get their big bones (free prayer exp) and pick up the herbs they leave behind, and often I have IDed it and it has been a Ranarr, free 7k for moi. :D I let them do it, as its all to my gain. :P
  8. Well with the new BTS for November it has been revealed taht some chunks from the first 2 paragraphs are true, so I think that The Chaos E speaks the truth.
  9. The new skill sounds good, I can't really say much now though as it has not been released. What ever will be will be. :D
  10. Good guide, the pictures make it up. I agree that you should give us more insight into what the exp is from cutting and mining. Overall, good guide! :D
  11. No, the guy is called Murphy and he is located in Port Khazzard (the guy who you go diving with in RFD) He exchanges rusty swords for a longsword (ranging from bronze to rune) However rune is very rare. As mentioned, you can also build a whetstone in your POH to change the rusty swords and damaged armour.
  12. I like the format but you say ''deposit 25 essence'' when it should be ''withdraw 25 essence''. And you also say ''completes MEP2'', should just be ''complete''. Good luck. =D>
  13. It enlightens the method of mining Sandstone/Granite but it doesn't really go all that in depth. You could reccomend dropping the ore as soon as you extract it or dropping an invent of it. And also, wearing the Ring of Charos (a) reduces the transport fees from 200gp to 100gp, it can be reduced again by completing the Ali Morrisane mini quest. Other than that, it's a good guide, good luck getting into the AOW. :)
  14. I used to use 15 all the time for a good variety of runes and racks, but when I don't intend to get a good KC and just get a few kills, I usually get an item, so around 9-10 for me. :D
  15. Are you sure you have to wield the Magic Secateurs when planting and harvesting? I thought you only had to wield them when harvesting to net 10% more herbs. :?
  16. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=553317 There's my guide on farming Ranarr for money. I'll update it soon to include about the new herb patch. :) And to dispell any rumours, growing Ranarrs is good money, grow ranarrs on all 5 patches everyday for a month and count the profits, I think you'll notice.
  17. Nice find. :D ``*Avoid investing in expensive items. Merchanting party hats is definitely a no. By the time you sell your party hat for a good price, and buy another one cheap, you've only made probably 100k tops...and with stackable items you could have made 200k in that time easily. '' How wrong did he get it?!
  18. All of those guides are awesome. :D My vote goes to Dork's Plundering guide, as this helped me get 65 thieving, and a Pharoah's Sceptre! He spills the best techniques and the most efficient method to get xp. :3>
  19. Wowza, very nice stats you have there. Grats on all those nifty capes! :D I was waiting to see the agility one, so thanks. :3>
  20. I haven't got any 99 skills or all quests complete, but I :3> the update! It's about time the higher levels who play get a reward for all their hard work and effort they have put into a skill/s. It is a massive incentive for other players to get a 99 skill, and TBH the problem atm is more and more higher level players are quitting or switching to WoW simply because they are bored of RS, they have achieved everything they desire, but rewarding them a nifty new cape/emote is certainly a way to keep all those players engaged in RS. The Costume room is great, it doesn't require 70 cons, and so is unlocked to quite a few people. I think these updates are some of the best Jagex has released for a while. :) Just my 2 cents.
  21. Thanks for the comment. :) If you do happen to have a lot of cash, Ranarr seeds are a great investment, because when you get to planting them it's growing money! (pun intended:P)
  22. Once again, great guide. :D I started plundering 2 days ago, and have since received 4 Thieving levels extreamly fast (now 65 thieving ) Before I got my first Sceptre from a Sacraphagi (sp?) So thanks for the awesome guide! :3>
