Interesting idea... Do remember, though, that you then have to fight with the SoL for the full minute. Is SoL vs. normal def > Rapier vs. SoL specced def? Possibly, but I'd be interesting in testing at least. From the tests I've seen on other forums(By people like Libum1, j1m m0rr1son) they both stated straight SoL won whip-dds 9/10 times, and rapier-dds 7/10 times. I'm not maxed melee so I couldn't do an accurate test myself.

The reason you saw that is because the only thing ever needed for mage staking was 99 hp/magic/possibly some defence lol. A 1-1-99 with 99 hp and magic is the same exact thing as a maxed main when it comes to mage staking.

I realize we are all real people, however this is internet - where one can say without ever having to do. A lot different than in real life, saying something you can't back up generally results in a bit of mockery and such. Your gear is spot on. You might consider anchovy/plain pizzas for food combinations(click one then the other right after, can do in 1 animation) Lastly, being you're 45 attack you might want to look in to dungeoneering for a gravite 2h. I believe it requires 63 dungeoneering for all the tokens.

The only form of staking that ever required much more than an iq above 50 was mage obstacle staking. Certain places in the arena would allow for 1-way combat, meaning you can hit your opponent but they can't hit you, and vice versa. This, however is now nerfed. For melee staking getting first hit was the only affect on the duel really, everything other than that was like flipping a coin, yes. Also, trapping around the exit to "re get" first hit in hopes of turning the duel around Those are the only things I can remember. @above, staking is a rush essentially, similar to getting a good drop at any godwars boss, or anywhere really. You may not spam omfg for 20 minutes but inside you're generally excited you just made a fair bit of money, same goes for staking.

It used to be no armour or just 1-single handed weapon (it won't be that now because of high-level weapons). So...it wont really be a death match....it will be complete luck.... Near every form of Pvp combat in this game is 100% luck. Staking has/always will be most popular "1 iteming." (whip/dds, rapier/dds, etc) I'm pretty sure no one who stakes with the intention of making money wants to have a 30 minute fight with someone in max def bonuses and 25 brews.

Pretty sure all santas/masks are pure junk, so you could try that.
