  1. just a little side note my teacher told me: wizard of oz was originally a story about american isolationism during WWI. the author thought we should have just stayed home, hence the line "theres no place like home." theres many, many other metaphors in the movie, supposedly they are much more clear in the novel though. It's more about the period right up to that. The gold standard, the silver standard, the progressive party, the progressive party candidate(I forget the rest)
  2. I heard Dolphin as the code name for the Game Cube...or was I completely wrong? no, you're right, I just got them confused :? just checked-N64's code name was Project Reality O.o
  3. Don't you guys remember Nintendo Dolphin? You were angry/this stubborn when they came out with the actual name being Nintendo 64?
  4. Just because they arn't the people that you hang around with doesn't mean they don't exist. Maybe if you look outside of your little world you might see something.
  5. Inside man is an ok movie, not really a must see. If you loved phonebooth, then you'll love Inside Man.
  6. Ugh, thats 2 weeks away
  7. It's might not be as bad as DC. Within a Week, Snow(30 Degrees F), to 50(no rain), to 35(no rain), to 65 with rain. But that's on an infrequent basis(2 weeks at most a year?)
  8. I use to live two blocks away from where the unibomber lived.
  9. The Sentinel Watched this earlier today with some friends. It was an ok movie, nothing good but nothing great. It's alot like the other Michael Douglass films that I've seen(I can't remember for the life of me what it's called, but it's about a sexual harrassment lawsuit against him) His role doesn't change much(like in Basic instinct and The Game). If you want to see a half-way decent thriller, then this is for you. 6/10 One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest I ended up watching this movie in two parts, before and after watching The Sentinal. This didn't stop the climactic ending of the movie to be freaking awesome. There was no foreshadowing(that I could see) that gave a hint to it's coming. This in turn with the great acting from Jack Nicholson and the rest of the cast gives is a 9/10.
  10. I live in the 4th best place in the US  which translates into a bunch of fat rich white people who like to [bleep] all day long(i've gotten [bleep]ed at on the train, the street, at work, at school....)
  11. Working at a busy theater is suppose to be really bad, concessions or ticket seller(both are cashiering, but concessions is suppose to be worse). Plus you have to clean up the theater itself after every movie(which is suppose to be the worst part of the job) I've heard that Baskin Robins is suppose to fire people every couple of months  but if all you want is a job for the summer then thats good. And Cold Stone is suppose to be really good for extra money from tips if you only have 2-3 people working on a busy night(extra 2 dollars an hour) but recently they have overstocked the people work force so there's more like 8 people behind the counter(the line moves faster, but you get alot less money)
  12. I played it 6-8 months ago, it's not bad
  13. 51. No strings attached is a fabrication used to get more profit. 55. Love may be eternal, but Latinum lasts longer.
  14. Guild Wars isn't free, you have to buy it, like diablo 2 or starcraft except without the 1 player mode
  15. I had high expectations from what I'd heard. Then found that I hated the movie(possibly a result of the expectations)
  16. air conditioner! it fills all the requirements starts with a, ends with r, classification is a c(climate control)
  17. If you take psychology you can learn more about it :)
  18. A Clockwork Orange Saw this yesterday and thought it was pretty good, the character development(and I like the fact that he narrates), is very good 8/10
  19. I don't count the spirits within as an FF movie it's more of just a movie by square, that has nothing to do with any of the Final Fantasies UM, LEARN FF PLX, YES IT DOES  Ok then, which one?
  20. havn't seen blade runner but lol@the 12-1 votes on starwars :)
  21. I also watched the chronicles of narnia recently(couple days ago?) There wasn't enough character developement(I did read the book, I remember most of it even though it was like 8 years ago) It was late/early in the night/morning(about 11-30 to whenever it finshed, 1?) so some of it was really funny. Such as towards the end when the battle was starting, and the little girl looks at the lion and says something like, "They're in trouble, we must help them" while quickly unsheathing her sword on pointing it at the lion. It was a very wth moment. I thought that it was a bad movie, not horrible, just bad
