Investigating the Wise Old Man
Oh man... If all these posts keep up I think I am going to shoot myself... (remember... they will all bet tired and leave eventually... wait... who am I talking to, you or myself...) By the way, any chance we could get back to the WOM... (Ok, KC you really should update the main page soon... you might also want to mention things that have been brought up multiple times... such as the guard in the tree ect.) (I don't mind telling you to do it, I just won't do it myself)

Are you a saver or a spender?
I save, but if I see a good deal I will take it. (and probably turn around and sell it...)

WoW vs RS
Well... My only thought on the matter is wow... You really are complimenting Runescape. Think about it you are asking whether a browser based game (that can be free) is better than a game that you have to buy in a store and then pay monthly for. Basicly what you are saying is Jagex has made a product that is better than most any game you can buy on most store shelves. After all... there aren't all that many games that compare to WOW, and saying Runescape is one of them is really complementing it.

Who says 1 def 1 prayer can't quest? CHECK THIS
By the way... To do DT you will have 11 prayer. http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=96 In the quest guide in the requirements you have to do priest in peril which gives you 1406 prayer xp. Here is the link to priest in peril http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=96 So to sum it up... he can't do DT (Or maybe he won't...)

Investigating the Wise Old Man
By the way, as far as one thing leading to another goes, All of the different things lead to each other, and they all consequently lead to death. War kills things and makes famine. Famine makes people fight to get food. Disease kills things and leads to famines, and lack of food leads to diseases. My point is anything can lead to anything, but they all eventually lead to death. By the way, we really are pretty good at getting off track. Good thing the mods don't check this thread to often. (I think) If they did it would probably would have to have been locked by now, think how many times we have gone off on tangents not even directly related to the WOM. Even thought it makes me sad to admit it... the rocks aren't even directly related to the WOM. (I love those rocks... I don't know why) Edit by the way KC, I will make it easier to edit the front page for you. Investigating the Wise Old Man
Wait, where's Trobi been? I have a bad feeling... He always like showing us how our ideas are wrong... Oh well. As far as other areas go, you might want to try the wilderness, and all the areas in F2P near the coordinates. Specifically the lava maze (one coordinate is on the south east corner of it) and north of Draynor manor. (I have seen a lot of rocks there, and also across the river north of it. Also If you really like mapping stuff, it might be interesting to map some of the rocks near our rocks. (north of Falador) There are alot of interesting stones there, and not all of them show up on the map... Sort of like Rune essence stones... Edit: You might want to update the first post... I don't envy you trying to sum all this up... Also you might want to get rid of the thing asking for names... Maybe keep it somewhere else. A lot of the stupid posts on here are in response to that.

All the constellations you listed had something to do with plenty. You have to have water to use a dipper, and water is one of the most important things to "make" life. To be a hunter, you have to have prey. Also when you bring your prey in you probably have plenty to eat. You have to have a lot of food to feed seven people And swans are graceful creatures and are normally associated with good things. In the stronghold there was a good something in the middle of a bad something. Since Zaros is so crooked maybe the things there are the reverse of the things here. For instance there would be a little bad thing in the middle of all the good things. So maybe the bad thing near there is Draynor manor, after all it is on one of KC's coordinates. (Trobigod, please don't kill me for suggesting that famine is somewhere else then the desert...) May I also point out that near the other one of KC's coordinates there is a symbol for something bad. (My picture of the spit stone.) And not to far away is one of the few large green places in the wild. (I believe the largest) I guess what I am suggesting that maybe what I am suggesting is that at each of KC's coordinates there is a positive and a negative of Zaros'/Armadyl's power. I know this is assuming a lot, but then and again that is what we are pretty good at here.

By the way as far as assuming things go, well... That is what we have been doing the whole time so far... So as far as assuming things go.... We know WOM was on Entra, we also know he has incredible power and is incredibly old. If you are going to have some one wielding a staff like that they would need great power... The obvious choice would have been the WOM. When what they were originally planning to do succeeded they backed off. (not exactly...) But at any rate, once Zaros was banished the WOM was sent on a journey to retrieve the staff. He found the staff and brought it back, but along the way absorbed some of its power... At any rate the last half of that theory can be shot down easily, but oh well it does make sense. (The first half) Edit: Just a thought... How can there be a group of bandits in the desert (the bandit camp) during the third age. I thought civilization started in the fourth age... Also, that means Entra has been around for a long time so it might be a good idea to search there for clues. Edit again: You think you have long posts...

Investigating the Wise Old Man
Wenlok and I took another trip and were exploring the lower levels of the stronghold. We didn't necessarily find all that much but what we did find brought up some interesting thoughts. You probably don't know how we got around to thinking of this, but while we were talking we were thinking about Zaros. We suggested that maybe when the Zammorack mage opened the abyss he let Zaros out. This is nothing new, but we thought maybe he went to the stronghold. He either found it there or made it himself. The mage let him out maybe because he promised to give Zammorack more power, or maybe Zammorack wanted to cause Chaos, and thought he could escape from the chaos. Since he was one of the first gods he possibly had more power. He had power of many areas. As he went through and made or took each level of the stronghold he manifested one of his many facets there. On the first floor he manifested war, on the second famine, on the third level pestilence, and on the fourth death. Armadyl is his opposite and all of the rewards at the end of each level are his facets. We thought that maybe Armadyl and Zaros were opposites and when Zaros was defeated the first time Armadyl went into hiding because he was not needed. When Armydyl saw that Zaros had come back he went to the Stronghold to fight him. Zaros set a trap and caught Armadyl. Now Armadyl is imprisoned, but he still has his power. At the end of each of Zaros' facets Armadyl has manifested his corresponding facet. The first level is the only level where the reward doesn't fade into the surrounding area. We thought this might be because Zaros only deals in opposites. He thinks that there is no in between in war. (such as Guthix, and Zammorack when he betrayed him) See Wenlok's post on death. Between the two of us, I think you can get the idea of what all we came up with. Edit: Since when does Tuco work with Angel eyes?

Investigating the Wise Old Man
The stronghold was first released on July 4, 2006. (July 4 by the way is the day America got its independence) Swan Song was released on May 2, 2006. I still have yet to find when the WOM update was released. Edit: By the way Randox, you can still check out Draynor manor. I was only checking the northern grounds for some sign of one of our stones.

I'm back from lurking like Wenlock. You know how you said war would be in the wildy. Look what I just found. After all war spits things apart. Just so you know this is roughly where your coordinates form the north east corner of the square.

Rethinking Runescape Lores and Histories Was Saradom really a good guy in the beginning? In the article "A Brief History of Runescape" it says "I have heard disturbing tales from rival religions about the nature and behavior of Saradomin at this time, which I suspect is merely propaganda for various different religions." There is one thing that takes consideration about that though. For all propaganda to work there has to be truth behind it; actually, for most any lie to work there has to be a shred of truth behind it. Another thing to consider is one of Saradom's most devoted followers was caught on film robbing a bank. This makes the tail of Saradom not always being devoted to good even more likely. Even if the video of the bank robbery was only a cover up then it must have been covering up something even worse. Concerning Arrav: History tells us that the child Arrav was found along a river on a day when both the sun and moon were shining. In many pagan religions the sun and the moon were important gods. In Egypt the Nile river was a source of life. It would almost seem as if 2 gods had had a son. It would seem even more so when as the boy grew up, his crops grew better than any one else's, and he had the strength and speed of men twice his size as a boy. Arrav taught his tribe silence while hunting, where to stand in streams so fish wouldn't notice them and what parts of animals should be removed before eating. This is especially important because in Hebrew religion their God set aside certain foods that they could not eat. It would almost seem as if Arrav was a child of of nature, does it not? It seems even more so later in his story. When Arrav was 10 he still had no name. The tribes elders decided to send him on a quest for a name. While he was traveling he found a group of goblins about to attack his tribe. He thwarted their plan to attack his village and found his name. (Arrav was a goblin curse word that they screamed at him as they attacked him.) Now the city that his tribe settled has become the well known city of Varrock. If Arrav had not stopped the attack of the goblins then his tribe would have been over run, and Varrock would not exist today. He is also called the Hero of men. Does it not seem as if Nature (not gods) had put him there so that Varrock would be here today? But why is he called the Hero of men? Saving Varrock was important, but we could live without Varrock today. That means that he did something more than just what we know so far, and what he did was very important, important enough that by doing it he saved men. As far was what happened later goes, we know that he found the shield and was unable to use it so it was donated to the museum. (An interesting note: The shield was donated to the museum about 7 years before the start of the fifth age.) I'll be adding more to this but I was wanting to add it before tomorrow in case JAGeX decides to release the rest of the updates. Also by the way, as far as some of the small details go graphics wise JAGeX has to repeat them in different places or else Runescape would just be a mishmash of completely different looking places that wouldn't at all be connected.

By the way, at the top part of your post, it should say, "If you want to join the 3% of people that do, you're just 2 clicks away." Hope you don't mind but I'm a grammar freak at times. (Unless it's my own grammar, then it's a different story) By the way, just wondering, how much xp do you make per hour?

Investigating the Wise Old Man
By the way here is the quote for any one who doesn't want to look it up. Looks like we have a wealth of information headed our way. Also by the way, it looks like maybe we were wrong about some of our theories about the drilling. But, there still exists a chance that maybe the WOM will try and take the machine...

Investigating the Wise Old Man
Hey KC which half do you have? I tried offering him one of my halves and he said I should keep it. Just a thought, when Diosis (Or whatever the WOM's real name is) was young didn't he desecrate a temple of Zamorack in Varrock?

Investigating the Wise Old Man
As far as what you said KC I would recommend adding Arrav. Doesn't it seem a little weird that the WOM says he might meet him some day even though Arrav existed around 2000 years ago? Another thing in the big picture (In my opinion) why did he rob the bank? Isn't he a devout follower of Saradom? Also the new quest came out, and all of our members should be able to do it.
