:o Today got into some Runecrafting with Celt, and later on I got 78 Runecrafting!! \ Gotto love the Abyss now with no evil pkers, tho I must say its rather boring too just a little. I'm not complaining got heaps of deaths made. At one stage I was running up to the Abyss, and had stopped to reply to a friend in pm right near the old PKer Hill. And there was a level 40ish person standing on the hill. He said to me *teleblock and entangle*!! roflsnort!! GF RC PKers!!! So I was gonna go solo maging at DK's tonight, but then Ele and Fly asked me to mage for them. So off we went. Trip Record below. [hide=DK Trip #16 - Mage, with Ele and Fly Hybrids] Great Trip!! Ele and Fly got 2 DAxes, 2 Mudstaffs and a Seers Ring!!! WOW!! Rex was being a pain in the backside and wouldnt give me anything except masses of Rannars and Mith Ores. At one stage my internet died, and I couldn't log back in for a minute or two. When I logged in, Fly was bringing Rex to me! Eeep, I had about 14 HP so ate like mad Melee Prayered and got myself into the safe spot. Phew, didn't die. I gud DK! Anyway heres the Inv shot before Ele Teled out My final loot pic [/hide] 78 Runecraft

I will miss you most of all Oreo, you are my best friend, and I will miss our long talks in game very much. Just as you said I have been there for you, you have been there for me, as a friend to talk to, getting levels, or just havin fun in Edgy, its not going to be the same without you. You have been my biggest motivator in all my achievements, standing beside me for nearly all my 99's, talking me out of giving up when I feel like giving up, yelling at me to "Fishhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Have an awesome time IRL, being with friends and having fun, going to Gloria Jeans and overdosing on caffeine, making Pez snort milkshakes, going to the movies, whatever you do, keep on smiling. I will look after your Wizard Robes (t), and will never part with them until you ask for them back, if you decide one day to play again in the future. : Take Care and keep in touch kay!! *Zombie Dance* Sheyyyyyyy

Shey was here!
I have a Santa, that I got as a gift off my very first friend in Runescape, who has since left the game after being password scammed when he let his nephew train on his account about a year ago. I'll never sell or part with it, and I don't wear it much, its there for a keepsake reminder of my first best friend in game. I'd rather spend my GP on skilling, so I have not invested in any more rares. Sure having a few rares in the bank is nice to look at, but they don't give any in game advantages except to show off. :P I prefer to have high skills, as those skills come to great advantage in game, I don't have to chase people to make me crafting items, I don't have to buy pots that I can make myself after growing the herbs myself.

I can fully understand everyones reactions to this update, and can completely feel for their reactions. For the Pkers, their livelihood has been taken away, they relied on their pking profits for their economy. For the Monster Hunters, not being able to share drops. The Merchanters, the ability to make money on profits from sales. For the social players, the ability to give gifts. The long term players from RSC have been through such a major upheaval already when RS2 came out, yet they are still here today, that says something for them. They stayed for their community, and I applaud them for doing that. A lot of them aren't prepared to go through such another upheaval, and I tell you what, to lose friends en mass once is enough, for it to happen again would break anyones soul. I am from the RS2 Generation, and I hope that this change does not result in too many losses of friends, although I already know a lot of people who are quitting, I hope they change their minds and come back soon. I can now understand in a small way how the RSC Generation feel. To have people tell you that you are living in the past is not fair, everyone wishes for the old days. I am not going to flame the people who quit, everyone has their reasons. All I can do is wish them well IRL, and wave to them sadly from while I fish my monks, as my friend said. I wont go into the politics of Jagex's decision to make these changes, whats done is done, we adjust adapt and acclimatise, as we do, which is a good lesson to learn in real life anyway. Life throws some pretty big punches, this is a good learning curve, if we want to look at it positively.

Sjakie's blog: Seercull, Shard 2 & 85 Farming!
Well, Sjakie, its really sad to see you quitting, but I agree, those next few months after your members runs out are important, and concentrating on that will be important. Hopefully its a temporary leave of absence rather than quitting, its such a harsh word. I am staying, I have realized my friends in Runescape are more important. The updates suck, I have to say that, but hopefully in time they will tweak them to make it more acceptable to everyone. So enjoy your time left, take your break, and I really hope you do return to us, it wont be the same without you here in Runescape. You are loved and will be missed.

Proactive adj. Serving to prepare for, intervene in, or control an expected occurrence or situation, esp. a negative or difficult one; anticipatory: proactive measures against crime. Hmmmm, I see what you mean. I'm a bit confused too. =S It's true though. Notice that JAGeX went to great lengths to explain to players exactly why they are doing this: they did so in the update article, and they even made a development diary page about it. Obviously, they anticipated the uproar, and they hoped that players can understand their situation after they hear them out. Wishful thinking, really: getting people to read on the internet is like giving a radio to a deaf man (quoted from a Runescape player). Still, it just shows you how many people have actually done some research before they started whining and flaming JAGeX, when you look the forums both official and non-official. Less than 5% of the rant threads are actually well thought-out, with organised arguments. Yep I have confused myself now. Lets see if I can unconfuse myself as well as you. Proactive: Researching your argument and posting suggestions that will possibly help Jagex find a solution to the RWT issues. Reactive: Flaming Jagex with spam such as "joo killed Runescape" or Rioting.

Shey was here!
OK so the past 24 hours has been a massive upheaval for just about everyone who has logged into the Main Page of Runescape. It was 9pm last night, and I spent the entire evening ranting and raving along with everyone else and threatened to quit Runescape. Don't judge me, its a pretty massive change and of course it has upset a lot of people. I went to bed with a feeling of Doom, and had given up. I actually had the best nights sleep I have had in a long long time. I woke up feeling refreshed, but still with the mindset of retiring from Runescape. Many friends of mine have quit Runescape, have already unsubscribed their membership. I even went as far as starting to download WOW. Then I came across a post, by someone I know. Not in a Tipit Forum but in another Runescape Forum I am a member of. My friend posted a Farewell post, not because he is leaving, but because many of his friends are leaving, and he wanted to wish them a Farewell, as he will stay to fish his monks. And I thought to myself, this is not right, how can a game update destroy the bonds of friendships, is it GP we play for, or friendship? I felt for my friend, fishing alone, the sadness of departed friends, and thought NO WAY!!!! Well, I am not leaving now, I will stay and fish with my friends, and enjoy Runescape still. We will adjust to the changes, and hopefully by proactively posting in the Official Forums, there may be some tweaks and changes that will make the changes more acceptable to all. LONG LIVE TIPITERS IN RUNESCAPE!

Whiners of Runescape Unite!
First of all I loved the article, I know many people who fall under every category. :XD: I am not happy with a lot of the recent updates, and until yesterdays update, I was never a participant in the Rants against the updates. We adjust and learn flexibility from the change. Yesterdays changes, however, have caused me to step up and speak against it. I support peoples rights to view their opinions. However, I do not support rants without back up, half those people who are ranting in the Official Forums did not even read the Development Diary, so how are Jagex supposed to take them seriously? I have, for the first time ever, posted in the Rants Forum at RSOF, but I did so after researching the information I had, and explaining my case clearly, with supportive examples, and then added some suggested alternatives. Jagex will most likely have millions of posts to read, I hope they stop to read the proactive ones. Be Proactive NOT Reactive!! :

10 December 2007 - ALL Updates!
I have added the QuickFind Code to the Official Forums Rant Topic on the Update into my signature below. Let Tipit Unite. Perhaps if we post maturely with the reasoning behind our dislike of this update, with suggestions on better ways to resolve the problems that Jagex are trying to overcome, we may make some leeway. Many many many people who never post in the Official Forums are now posting, Jagex has to listen, if they don't well its their funeral. Be proactive, not reactive!

Shey was here!
Don't even feel like logging into game tbh! See my sig! Add it to yours, the official Rants Topic for the Update!! Lets speak out!! If we can rebel in a mature manner, and let them know exactly why we are against it, rather than Rioting and making trouble, they will perhaps listen. Tho, perhaps not, I just don't know! Tipit Unite!!!
