  1. .... Let me see. I have completed, without cheating, roughly a thrid of the games I've aquired. Not that I cheat to complete the other two thirds; instead, most of them are games that I've not bothered completing, as I get sidetracked. Whereas I never cheat on roleplaying or strategy games (it stops them bring fun), I quite often cheat on singleplayer FPSs. Only after I get to a point when I'm either finding it hard, or more often just want to see the ending before I stop playing it. I don't cheat on multiplayer FPSs (ie on the single player "skirmish" type games) as, again, that doesn't accomplish anything: there's no story. The thing is, if I start cheating on a game, I almost invariably start going off that game soon afterwards. I'm afraid I don't keep a record, but if it's influential, I've likely completed it. (You know, doom, for example, and halflife.)
  2. Not strictly from a movie, but in quite a few, I suppose: I chopped the start of it off there, but I thought even fewer people would be interested were I to have provided half a page-worth. In fact, any of Henry's addresses to the troops form Henry V. If you need me to specify a particular film, then it would be the kenneth branagh one.
  3. I don't buy music because, A) I'm a scrooge; B) I don't believe information of any type should cost money; C) The artists I listen to don't lose out on money when I download their music: I'm NOT going to buy it, so they might as well be happy that they are least appreciated. I mean, if they're the sort of person that needs money to play the music, then I wouldn't support them anyway. (And yes I do realise that they need to make a living. I'm not suggesting everyone stop paying for music: I'm sure people that do have good reasons to do it. ) I suppose if there were an artist that I really liked who NEEDED my support, I might by their stuff.
  4. A little something you ought to learn about me... 2199. Umbongo - Umbongo Umbongo. (You can't beat those fruit juice adverts.) 1979. Tagalog - Philippine National Anthem. (Similarly, you can't beat those hardcore national anthems.) 1128. Mary Poppins - Let's Go Fly A Kite, (because [bleep] van [bleep] is the man.) 1989. Teddy Pendegrass - Love TKO. (OK, I was going to put something about the yoghurt adverts here... but when I searched for muller light (which I assumed was the spelling) I got a load of results about condoms. Anyone know the correct spelling?)
  5. I like the water, what with the way it covers the gently sloping parts. I'm not too sure about the rounded-ness of the mountains. It seems sort of... miniature when they roll like that. (I mean the bottom sort of island part; the rest of it's fine. Could you make a darker, rocky texture to cover the lowest exposed section of the things?)
  6. I'm fairly sure that Merc meant that the baby can "live" independant of it's mother. A baby that is breathing, can eat, and, most importantly is NOT connected to the mother by any physical tubes/whatever, is, in a sense, independant, as, if you take it away and dump it on a big pile of food/puddle of milk, it'll live. (I mean, if you do it so that it can't drown, or anything.) Not that any of that is important, as, a baby that's unborn, but ready to be born could instantly become "independant," if you rip it out and shove it in one of the afformentioned places. I personally don't have a problem with abortion, if it's at a time when the child couldn't survive, were it to be born, there and then. In that case I'm all for the adoption, orphanage thing. It's like euthanasia, though, in that I won't say that 100% of the time I'd go these ways. Edit: misspelled "sense." Whoopsie.
  7. to have finally worked out what was wrong with Imageready. I used to use the screen on a higher resolution, and one of the palettes was off the screen. Boo-yah. Spam? Yeah, I suppose. Oh well, I'll try and fill it out with something: Is there any way on photoshop [actually, this might be on the wrong board, if so, oh well,] to make brushes. By that I mean to, say, draw a picture, then get an alpha of it, and make it into a brush. I have, I might add, rtfm, so if you do think you know the answer, don't just keep it to your self, shout it out, so that the whole audience can hear. [in his trousers] [behind the sofa.]
  8. God, (Christian God,) made man in his own image? How does that work?
  9. Yes, there was religion, but it was not Christianity, so it wasn't a "Christian" act, (whatever it was; I've not actually been paying attention.)
  10. Still, if I were to abhor all the abrahamic religions, believing them to be heretical to my new.... Petaeism, (pete, the all father, the omniscient, the...) and decided that the tenets of the faith required the followers to all gather round the may pole, chanting, all the while evangelising to the onlookers it would share some aspect of the Christian tendancies. But as the rest of the religion might be heavily based on the sacrifising of virgins/goats/expensive-computer-components to the allfather, I might take offence at my actions being likened to that of a Christian. Just the same, it might not be correct to call actions that anyone with similar morals would perform Christian. It's not as if Jews and Muslims are bad people (obviously some are, but then again, so are some atheists,) and so, why should it be Christian as opposed to just "good."
  11. That's right, in a twisted way. CHRISTianity. That's the reason it's called that, after all. Thing is, I, were I religious, would skip all the stuff about jesus. I wouldn't be jewish, as I don't fully agree with all that either, and I wouldn't be christian; I'd have the values of the chrisians, without the christ bit.
  12. I don't believe in god, and no stories about how he(or she, of course, (or it for, for that matter,)) "turned my life arround," "saved my poodle," "told me to burn things," ect. will convince me otherwise. I don't have any problem with people who do believe in god, though, (unless said people try actively to convert me, of contradict everyting I say because they believe it to be their duty. Those people I think are dull, in any sence of the word you can think of.) I have a friend who is really strongly christian, does all the church group stuff, lives in a bell tower and that sort of thing. He doesn't believe in evolution, (not that that's proven either, I suppose,) but he is happy to talk about it, and I've had interesting conversations about his views. THAT's the sort of christian I like. I mean the talking bit, not the evolution thing. If, on the other hand, God were to convince me, I'd say I was sorry, repent, go to whatever church he/she/it/they endorced, (if any, though I doubt any being that supreme would go fo that sort of thing,) and generally change the way I do things. For some reason, I don't think that's likely to happen. The reason being, it's not happened to me, anyone I know, or, likely, even those people who rant on about how it has happened to them. Sounds rather against the whole religion thing, doesn't it? I don't intend that, but rather thought I would vent some steam about the things I mentioned.
  13. Good choices those.
  14. You know, I suppose it will be considered spam, but, I'd be interested how long this one will stay up, after the event.
  15. [rediculous nautical talk]Arghhhhhh (said with a hint of uneasyness.) Life on the high seas, that's the life for me. Me hearties.[/rediculous nautical talk] I suppose I'd best get the weaval infested biscuits in, and break out the casks of urine that I keep in the cellar... for.. forget that part.
  16. I'd so like to say I play the Orchestoral Timpany. I don't though.
