  1. So would I. I can't say I was suprised by the footage. I saw it one the news and didn't take a second look at it. It just seemed like another typical day in Iraq. Still does to a point.

Like I said, they have them at uni, every single computer lab I use has them. Been using them for almost a year and I still don't like them :P
  3. That's because neither of you are stupid and can actually protect yourself for such 'vulnerabilities' :P
  4. I am yet to find a solution for that. I noticed that a few days ago and sometimes it works first time round and sometimes it loops. I have no idea why either :-? ok, I just checked it then and it worked first time. Just keep trying I supose. I haven't seen this problem in another other browers so *shrug* You got me stumped.

I hate having the extra buttons like that on mice. They have them at uni and I go from typing back to the mouse and hit the fwd or back button (they're where you usually put your thumb) and blah. PITA :P Give me a standard mouse with 2 buttons + scroll wheel ftw :D [/offtopic]

Yea, probably... but whatever. A mod can move it whenever they can be bothered. It isn't exactly causing much damage floating around here :P

 Thank you! Another nifty feature :D I'm suprised you never knew about that... Then again, a lot of people I know who use Opera didn't know about it till I told them... So *shrug*

I see more adverts for Coke than Pepsi. Now that I think about it, I see more ads for Mars and Snickers than Coke and Pepsi, so whatever.
  9. http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/973/ Is fast user switching even enabled in the registry? I haven't come across a case where the registry key was actually removed but you never know :-? I dunno how you could've lost the ability for fast user switching but it's just 'blah' atm. Maybe you could go back to whereever you got the original custom logon prog and see if they got any FAQ on losing the FUS :-? *shrug*
  10. plot, acting, pace and score. Obviously if the plot sucks I'm not going to like the movie much. Then the acting. I've seen movies with the potential to be good crash because the acting was sub par. A pity really because some have been really good ideas. I love pace. Seriously, if the movie takes too long to 'get on with things' (like developing characters and the story, etc) I tend to lose interest rather quickly - The God Father kind of does this to me somethings drags on a bit sometimes - and same goes as it is ending. If it packs 2hrs worth of suspence into a 10 minute finish I usually am rather pissed off. And like, if it's like... changing how quick the movie is going. Like one minute it's 'dragging out' then the next it goes through 5 days in 10 minutes or something... extreme but you get my point :P Finally, the score. I think a lot of people would be suprised how much this can effect a movie untill they hear it with the score stripped from it. I supose the same thing could be said with sound effects and such but to a lesser extent. That's pretty much it I supose.

@Exarch: Those are the same gestures I use aswell. Along with: Right click + Left click = go back Left click + Right click = go forward hold right + scroll wheel = scroll tabs Not quite mouse gestures but very very handy. A lot of people don't seem to know of the last one though, which is a bit of a shame :( @runesmithie I'll download 8.5 now (still running 8.0) and get the exact menu setup because you can turn the status bar option to just display while the page is loading, always and not at all. Opera 8 has an inbuilt irc client. I kind of assume that 8.5 has one aswell :-? Anyhow, just have to download the latest version and I'll get back to you ;) Edit: ok, new version just installed now and: Tools -> Appearence -> Toolbards Tab This enables you to change the toolbars and whatnot, more specifcally how the Progress bar will be displayed. And the chat client is just under the 'Chat' menu ;) I'm sure you can figure out how to use it without much hastle. It's not as powerfull as ChatZilla last time I was on it but it's still there :P
  12. I doubt they would totally skip it. Square Enix seems to like the setup of the Revolution Controller so you only really assume that it isn't going to be overly hard to make games for. Some might even be easier to make under the Revolution. But there's really only one way to find out... *waits*
  13. Ah, makes a lot more sense now :P

onload="onLoadAutoSubmit();" edit: and I would personally just use static reference to the form.. setTimeout(document.myForm.submit, 2000); i believe that should work. the submit of javascript on the javascript side for a long time :P
  15. Well, people did say that if the FireFox usergroup got big enough, people would start to target it. You have people saying the same thing about Apple. If Mac OS was more popular you would find more viruses and spyware and whatnot for it. But because the usergroup is so small people just can't be bothered (same for Linux and such). At least Mozilla get their software patched fairly quick. It's the only thing which really keeps any major threats on the back foot.
  16. Well, here is my alternate take on it: Nintendo gamers are better than everyone else because we can play as two people at once and still maintain the same level of performance as if two individual people were playing the game. After all, you would have to be that good in order to actually pull it off. --- I know that isn't what Papickett was implying but I'm sure they (Papickett and Commandant) can work out the reasoning behind that conclusion :P
  17. Well now people without friends can find out what 2 player is like. Playing with bots in any game gets the same effect, so your point is... what?

It's also a filename used by quite a lot of viruses. And no, I'm not confused with iexplorer[Caution: Executable File] either :P If internet explorer is not opening when that process is running AND the process is not in the 'Internet Explorer' directory then you have a problem. Reason I say both is sometimes Windows can be [bleep]y and start the process but the application never actually 'runs' if you get me. @Hydra: Post a hijackthis log and we should be able to narrow down what is causing the problem for you. And just your of curiously, what AV have you got? Most of them should be capable of picking up iexplore viruses.
  19. A lot of people use blogs for what you said. Maybe not to to such an extent, but it happens. Personally I think it's much like keeping a journal (see GhostRanger's post). I have a blog, but it's more of a place to rant and whatnot :P Occasionally I spit out some kind of have intelligent junk but I don't go back and read it. *shrug*
  20. I'll agree that good quality and affordable CRT's are on the verge of being dead. They dropped sharply when LCD's get to be.. more affordable I guess would be the best resoning. I can still pickup fairly good quality CRT's without a problem from a few places. But yeah, most are like $50 or so. And, there would be more than enough people out there who aren't prepared to sink money into something which will most likely be obsolete within the next few years :-? Can't really stand in the way of progress I supose, which kind of sucks sometimes (eg: ipod mini being replaced by the micro - wtfgay w/ that).
  21. I can't use a mouse to save my life for drawing stuff on the pc. On a tablet, however, it's easy as hell. Almost as if i was drawing straight to paper. Although some cheaper tablets may get a bit of a wobble or something to them :x
  22. I can't remember the exact breakdown of subjects at my school, but when it came to subjects which would get me an OP (you have to do 6) I had a choice of about 11 or 12. And 4 of them didn't interest me at all. So... kind of [bleep]ed. Personally there wasn't enough IT subjects. We had IPT (Information Processing and Technology) and that was about it. Sure we had the whole 'desktop publishing' type subjects... but they were basic... and by basic i mean spending 5 hours to learn how to use MS Word. Then Excell, then something else, and none of which was very advanced. I wish I could've gone to a more IT-orientated school but in all seriousness, they don't exist here. It's all like... sciencey stuff. If I could've done more IT subjects my grades would've been better than they were :x [/rant]
  23. Maybe not ripped, but at least they wont be packing on the kilos :P

in for banning of anyone who posts in anything other than the default colour :D It does look good. Although I have to say, I expected Krum to look a bit different to that :-? Everyone else was pretty much spot on :x
  25. @Ianbur: Been to an arcade lately? Other than lacking tilt/yaw sensativity a lot of fps arcade games are pretty much similar (input periferal wise) to the Revolution. So if you want a 'tried and tested' type of controller, they've already been around for a long time. Nintendo just added some extra functionality to it... @RebelAssassin: The Revolution does have jacks for the GC controllers (for backward compatability, duh) so...
