  1. I don't know when or where it started from. On that note - I don't read Digg. I picked it up from offtopic.com. If I had to guess at anything I'd say that SA started it originally. That's were a lot of things start, AFAIK.

How am I thinking? I know how the point system works. Difference in points effects how many you get for a win, and how many are taken for a loss. It's fairly simple to "break away" when you play teams with performance standards under what you normaly play (ie: Australia and South Africa). Sure the bottom 3 are almost 60 points behind Englnand, but that doesn't mean they still don't make for cheap points at point stage for most of the "middle order". Which is my point.

I'm quite content to change my name. Even though I may be the last male in my family to "carry on the name", I couldn't care less about it.
  5. Bad luck for you, getting a person like that.
  6. Keeping their "good name" in the eyes of gamers is going to be a very long uphil struggle. For the average joe consumer, wont be a problem. They wouldn't have a clue about the kind of trash Sony was pulling out of their [wagon] for the last year or so.
  7. it's a multi-question quiz done via sms. hence the "*cough*scam*cough*" bit because the rates are insane, and the chances of you winning are almost non-existant. the questions are so obvious it would make baby jesus cry - Play Station is a trade mark of a) Sony B) Apple :uhh:
  8. That reminds me of something rather entertaining. There's some *cough*scam*cough* competitions going on to win a PS3 (here in AUS). And I'm like... "even if you do win... what's it going to do for 3 months?" you're just getting the PS3, no games.. nothing. And since it's not available here yet... what the hell is the point? :uhh:
  9. Just add the chick to the admin user group, make a topic saying 'hi' in the admin section and be done with it. Suprises work.
  10. DDbra, I would love to promote you to a higher rank. I now promote you from; Strokemaster, to, ADMIN You can now log into the admin group. You can now do anything you want to the website. You can now, be an admin . Over the past 1 year that i have been playing runescape, you have always told me to follow my dreams and to never give up. I did follow my dreams. One of my dreams was to have our own website. And one of my dreams was to become the best in runescape. Although you have told me to try my hardest at things i want to do in life, i am sorry to say this but, I am quiting runescape. I know that you were the one DDbra, who never gave up on finishing your dreams. You got 99 magics not because you thought it woud be fun, or not because you were bored. You did it because you had the courage and strength to do that. You DDbra, were the one person that i looked up to in runesape. You were my friend. And you always will be . ~~Brain. Fixed.
  11. Excellent. I got an 18 piece that I liberated from someone who couldn't use it :)
  12. old school techniques?

I'm not a fan of the ODI ladder since teams like India, Sri Lanka and South Africa play teams like Kenya, Zimbabew and Bangladesh enough times to get their points up there. Call my synical; but when the only teams you play are generally crap - logically you'll have higher points than those who don't.
  14. Eh, depends. I know a lot of people who had nothing more than a CERT III in Information Technology (ie: not even a diploma and well short of a degree), who now pull down 80K pa. And I've spent 4 years at uni for a degree that I essentially wont need after I develop a portfolio. Depends on the person and what exactly the plan to do with their life. Not having a High School certificate is a good way to screw yourself over though. At least with that you can pick up a trade without much hasstle. So thre's always an option available really.
  15. Yea, they're in a bit of a limbo. I generally consider retro to end around 1990, but there's a lot of titles that float on between then and when you had the launches of the PS and the N64. It's almost time for two classifications: Classic Retro (pre-1990) New Age Retro (1994-2000) There are a lot of titles between 1990 and 1994 that can easily be pushed in with the Classic Retro crowd. And there are others which will NEVER be retro, no matter how many years pass. It's a strange situation for games of that era indeed.

It's Activision who have the rights to the James Bond franchise :) EA originally had the rights (till 2009) but laid down their contract, which Activision picked up and is set to expire in 2014.
  17. How the hell can you NOT notice something like that :uhh:
  18. IMO they swungs away from "kiddie" after the second book :P

Yes - remove yourself from the genepool.
  21. When in doubt: spell it like it sounds ;) Google is for the spelling gods :ohnoes: :P
  22. Sounds a little bit cluttered if everything is on the screen at once, the RS client itself takes up a heap of room, I can't imagine how you get skill calcs, and whatever else on there screen in one hit. Might be all in one client yes - but is it all open AT THE SAME TIME? If no, refer to the use of a web browser and website for the answer, no difference. Seems like "name calling" as you put it failed. The use of the  comes across as being stubbon, and your arguments aren't exactly grand either, so I stand by my decission to say your excessive use of the  makes you come across as a "stubbon moron". 1. Because you don't seem willing to step back from the "omg SS owns every possible alternative" attitude you apparently radiate. 2. You come off as imature due to the above. *shrug*
  23. There are quite a number of people who have openly admitted to "I can spell good, I just type like this on the internet" :uhh: Go figure - that's the point really. How many people are actually going to use it even when it's there? If they can spell good offline, but can't be bothered to online, what point is there is putting in a spell checker if they wont use it anyways?
  24. ebay should simply ip-ban [bleep]s who like to hijack auctions. or have them put up for fraud (unlikely to happen but people can dream).
  25. From which perspective? It definately isn't military super power; and ecconomic super power is waining.
