  1. Ye, I've been thinking of going to Ape Atoll, only thing is I'll need to get my Ninja Greegree back (dropped it stupidly around two years ago #-o ) I've actually managed to get into the course without being attacked today, so I'm hoping to get level 70 (67 at the moment) then go to Ape Atoll.
  2. The Wilderness Course is the best xp for my level, so no thanks.
  3. I've been trying to train agility at the wilderness course for the past couple of days, and it's been increasingly hard to get there without being pked. I literally carry NOTHING of value with me, the pker always loses money when they kill me (due to runes, pots etc being used). I wear a spotted cape, boots of lightness and an Enchanted Excalibur, and in my inventory a normal antipoisen and around 12 or so monkfish. The best thing they could loot of me would be my spotted cape (which is worth less than 1k), and even then I protect item and always keep everything but the antipoisen and food. WHY do pkers insist on killing me everytime I go up there, even when I ask them to stop they just 'lol' and keep going until I'm dead. The wilderness coming back has seemingly made agility training at the wilderness course harder, although the lack of revenants is very nice when I do actually get to the course. Anyone else having this problem? And yes, I know this happened before wilderness was taken away, it just seems it's happening a lot more than it used to.
  4. I can't stand Dungeoneering myself. From day one I've never been able to get into it, and I don't think I ever will. That's just how I feel of course, I know there are people out there that enjoy it, and continue to do so.
  5. Ah yes my mistake, got confused there for a minute!
  6. It's the altar in Falador Castle. It allows you to change that altar to a Zaros altar meaning you can change back and forth from ancients to normal magic books there. It's just a lot easier than going into the desert to change it.
  7. I saw similar topics a few months back, but I can't seen to find them now. Anyway, what is your best/worst herb run? My best would have to 43 Kwuarms/Avantoes, joint record for both. My worst was literally a couple of minutes ago (made me want to make this thread!) Patch by patch: Trollheim: 5, Port Phasmatys: 5, Ardougne: Dead, South Falador : Dead, Catherby: 6, bringing in a grand total of 16 herbs. I don't use Juju Potions (don't have the levels for them), but I have Magic Secs. Post yours!
  8. Well theres a few extra things that slayer gives over camping that make it more worthwhile in my opinion. You mentioned the Slayer Helm, which is going to help you get faster xp. The point system also makes you money, every two tasks with Kuradel and you can buy 250 deaths and 1000 minds. Slayer makes things alot less boring when it comes down to combat training, more variety=less boredom.
  9. Dragon Bones have gone up something like 50%. I sold 200 for 6k each yesterday, and they were just over 4k before free trade.
  10. We don't have any confirmation about the ashed being any good yet, let alone if they are worth much. In all likelihood, as they might/should not be alterable, they'll be slow prayer xp(ecto is still atleast twice as slow as altar, around 4 times slower if the ashes don't stack), as the lowest monster droping the highest level ashes is extremely easy and fast to kill(nechryael, easier to kill than any dragons), they'll likely award similar/lower standard xp than dragon bones, which would put their price at around 2-2.5k each, not enough to make most players care much about them. Greater/lesser demon bones should be comparable to baby dragon ones, which wouldn't make anyone anywhere close to rich. Sorry for being a buzzkill, but i don't see this update having the whole scale impact everyone else sees. 2-2.5k per greater demon will be revolutionary in f2p. Expect god armour to rise if this happens. I would have thought that Greater and Lesser Demons would drop something similar to big bones rather than dragon bones, so nothing over 1k's worth.
  11. The Behind the Scenes for Febuary indicates that monsters that drop ashes will be getting an update. Ashes will act like bones once the update is released, and give a certain amount of prayer xp. Obviously things like Imps and lower leveled ash dropping creatures will give the same xp as normal bones, but what about higher level demons? From the BTS it looks like Black Demons and Nechs are going to drop something akin to Dragon Bones, but they do not mention Abby Demons, so I'm assuming they'll be the same. One thing that may make or break this update, is the fact that using altars is not mentioned, meaning Dragon Bones and Frosts will still be the best prayer training in the game if you can't use the updated ashes on a Gilded Altar.
  12. The market is crazy at the moment, a lot of items seem to be falling rapidly in price, other items are rising heavily (dragon bones). Personally, I'm keeping any cash I have and only buying items when I really need them.
  13. Dark Bow is only useful for its special, training wise it is pretty poor due to it's firing rate. At 62, a Red Dragonhide Set, Archer Helm/Robin Hood Hat, Ava's Accumalator, Snakeskin Boots, Glory Ammy, and a Zammy Book if you can get one. There are a few different option when it comes to a weapon/ammunition. A rune crossbow with broad bolts (or lower) is a good choice for training against monsters with higher defence than others (Blue Dragons etc). Knives/Darts are good for low defence monsters such as Yaks. Finally, a Magic Shortbow can be used for pretty much anything, but you'll need to use Addy/Rune arrows to get a good xp rate.
  14. To be honest, most fish are crashing. Sharks have gone down to 740gp each and Monkfish have also fell by around 25%. The strange thing is, with wilderness coming back the demand for fish/food should have increased and they should have gone up if anything.
  15. Not sure what the difference is between Chaos Tunnels and Slayer Tower when it comes to meleeing them, but I always kill them in the Slayer Tower. I find they can hit quite hard, and usually a bunyip and EE isn't enough for me. I would either go for a high defence setup or take a guthans set with you, or you could always take a few monkfish instead, just means less inventory space for drops.
  16. Well toggling it on one gardener will toggle it on all gardeners. Not entirely sure if that particular herb patch is included with the deweeding reward.
  17. Just wondering if Snapdragons are worth farming if you don't have access to Juju potions.
  18. Seems so, yes  Awesome! I shall be going to take a look once I can actually get onto world 2 :-P
  19. Can anyone confirm if World 2 Fally Park is back? Was my favourite place in runescape before free trade was taken away.
  20. instant drop is deliberate i think So if someone drops something in the wilderness it immediately goes to the ground? I wasn't even attacking this guy (he was a level 90 odd), all of sudden his stuff appears beneath him, so I run over and grab what I can :S I think its not just wildy but everywhere, ill plop a rune full down in edge bank and see what happens edit; looks like wildy only, either that or nobody likes free rune full helms I see, well I suppose it makes sense, just means that someone can stop who they are fighting from getting the drop.

  22. Not sure if anyone else has seen this glitch, but if someone drops something on the ground then it immeadiatly goes to the ground. I picked up some guys d scimmy a rune plate. Either that or when someone dies everyone can pick up there stuff. Very odd.
  23. Improved Chaos Elemental drops (and a chaotic new look). Sounds good! Annoyed that I wasn't on when the update timer started, would be cool to see peoples reactions :D
  24. Like someone else said, Runescape is reborn today. We've been getting over 200,000 people playing at one time on weekends, and this will increase to 250,000 today onwards.
  25. Some people have said that deflation will kick in due to the drops from pvp that you cash from being a monster drop rather than from other players. This means that money will be worth more, and items will go down. Armour and weapons are already starting to go down, such as Bandos etc. It's a good bet that everything will go down, inlcuding fish.
