I didn't say that I won't sell my DFS, I just hate this whole 'were playing runescape we have to be efficient as possible' style that's come out in recent years. To me it just seems like people aren't playing for fun anymore, just trying to grind money and xp out just to get better, nevermind the fun factor. I already have a full slayer helmet by the way.

I kind of an old school slayer, so no piety or other boosting prayers I'm afraid. I was looking for more plain defensive gear setups. I dont see how you being an old school slayer prevents you from using prayer during tasks, and if you actually were, you would know that you could run around doing slayer in rune and you would be pretty much covered against most of the monsters defensively I kind of an old school slayer, so no piety or other boosting prayers I'm afraid. Especially if you get a soul wars cape, etc. Just like, Guthan is far less commonly used now because of easier alternatives. I think it's more of a personal thing. I've just never been interested in the whole efficieny thing. I just wanna slay for fun, and using prayer potions during tasks just makes it less fun for me :???:

I was just looking for ideas on what to wear on the torso and legs when it comes to general training of slayer. I used to use combo's like Fighter Torso and Dragon Legs, but I want something a little better now. I would like Bandos Chest and Tassets but can't afford them at the moment (just bought a dfs). What do you normally wear in those slots?

Anyone else really want the armadyl body and chaps? They look lush to be honest, although I don't think they'ed go with any of my outfits :S Anyone know if they are easy to snipe on the GE?

I've seen several people cope with just a bunyip at Iron Dragons, so you should be fine at Bronze's.

I use dds myself, but if you have claws definatly use them. I also find the enchanted excalibur to be not bad down there. Good defense boost against their magic attacks and 200 hp healed.

Why are you not banned yet? Anyway, you might wanna upgrade your toadflax's to avantoes, more xp and more profit which can be used to buy tree seeds. You can either stick with maples (personally I use willows because I'm cheap), or you can move onto yews, however maples are a much better price for what you're paying.

Gotta laugh at all the clue scroll moaners. Welcome to the world of clue scrolls! Expect lots of rune items and only one good item every ten or so clues! Does this look good? Would like some feedback :thumbsup:

I was just wondering what some good non combat money making ideas are. I would kind of like them to get me xp aswell (woodcutting etc).

I was wondering, does the magpies foraging ability get better if you're on the move? I'm currently fletching, so no movement at all. If I was doing something like agility, would I get more rings/gems?

Seriously, what is the point of the Third Age Druid equipment. Everything apart from the wreath is beaten in stats by something else (namely proselyte). The cloak is particularly stupid, been as we have the Soul Wars cape and Ardougne cape, which both give better stats.

I just had a guy accuse me of botting at the yews in the Gnome Stronghold. I even told him I wasn't but he didn't believe me :rolleyes:

Go for high range defence with things like Granite/Obby Sheild/Dragonfire sheild, Verac's skirt etc. I would use Rune crossbow with broadbolts, and then Ava's Backpack in your cape slot. Also if you have an Arymadal Amulet then that helps a LOT, otherwise you'll have to buy Arma armour which costs loads. I would being around five bunyips, and Bones to Beaches tabs (or just runes for the spell if you have it unlocked). You can actually go into the Arma area if you like, or if you bring something from Zammy/Sara you can just stay out in the main area near the entrance to the Arma incampment.

I have a feeling the new clues will go something like this; Go see the meerkats (wherever they are), they tell you to kill the KQ to get your next clue, and then they follow you. Once you've killed KQ, talk to them and they give you the next clue.

Use the fairy ring and you'll be right next to the waterfiends on the other side of the river, loads of them there, and plenty to kill even if it's busy.

If I remember rightly, I have one for General stuff (coins, tokkul, everyday armour/weapons), Potions/Herbs/Seeds/Other farming stuff, Other armour/weapons, Runes/Summoning stuff, Food/Bones and then finally my last one is a drop tab which can vary, like it could be all my slayer drops, or right now it's stuff I get from woodcutting.

Ok, but I was wondering what the best thing is to cut for both money and xp, are yews still the best?

I was wondering, what is the best thing to cut from 81 - 99 woodcutting? At the moment I'm cutting yews at the Gnome Stronghold because I like xp and money. Also, what are the chances of a bird nest falling out of a tree, and how long do they stay on the ground? (I always seem to miss them when they drop). Edit: Also, generally how long does 99 woodcutting take?

I find with slayer that people are obsessed with efficiency (Piety on every task, overloads etc). I'd rather just go with normal gear when slaying, far easier, and less to worry about. I'm just old school haha.

I was just wondering if Saradomin Sword is that much better than Dragon Scimitar + Rune defender. Sara sword has +11 more strength, but D scimmy and rune defender have +4 slash attack and 18 - 20 defence bonuses from the defender. I don't really want to rake out 9.5 mil on a weapon that looks horrible. Are there any other alternatives?

Actually, now that I've thought about it, I agree with Sly. After doing a bit of research, I discovered that the two biggest P2P clans, RoT and Brut, don't even use climbing boots. They use colored boots, for the most part. Also, say the total amount of GP brought in by this is 1b. It might cause a short-term spike in prices because of manipulators and panic buyers, but consider how much gold exists in the game. Even 1b is a very minuscule percentage of the overall economy. The reason PvP artifacts created so much inflation is because hundreds of millions (or more) were entering the game EACH DAY. This update may have created a large amount of gold, but it was a one-time event, which means the effects of it will quickly abate. It should be a lot more than 1 bil. The guy with 400k pairs alone had over 18 bil's worth.
