Obviously if you piety/turmoil tasks then proselyte > desert robes. I don't have access to Lunar (I hate quests lol), and I don't tend to pray that much. Overall: Proselyte > Desert Robes > Any other defensive armour apart from Bandos if for some reason you really want that +6 strength bonus.

The guy next to you is using torags at Desert Strykwyrms when he could be using desert robes. That's a glitch, or stupidy :P The guy in torag's is the poster. Also, using desert robes is the stupidity. I've never facepalmed so hard. Desert Strykwyrms barely hit even with low defensive armour, wearing torags is complete overkill. I can do a whole task in desert robes easily, which helps me because then I have to worry less about waterskins.

Their defence is pretty high so I wouldn't reccomend it, unless your looking for money aswell.

I've kind of always been worried about dieing with expensive items on me, so if it's a risky situation like solo Bandos then I'll dress down. I got a real shock the other day when I almost lost 20+ mil worth of stuff on my way to Abby Demons in slayer tower. I thought I could get away with not wearing a slayer helmt/nose peg when passing the abberant spectres, big mistake. I got out of there with less then 100 lp, so I've learnt my lesson now.

I keep getting crashed at Iron Dragons at the moment (which have gotten stupidly busy thanks to the fact that they drop elite clues, thanks jagex), I wouldn't say I'm easily crashable or anything, it's just some people 135+ seem to think that they don't have to hop for some reason. Also if someone logs out, then they come back an half an hour or so later, they seem to think they have a right to stay there just because they were there 45 minutes ago, its silly.

As other people have said Ancients + Black sally is your best bet. If you want a more relaxed approach then maybe Godsword Void or if you have access to a Chaotic Rapier, pair it with a rune defender for some fun melee kills.

Ardougne Cape 2 (+4) and Ardougne Cape 3 (+6), also a trimmed skillcape gives +4.

Soul Wars Cape, Explorers Ring, Bandos Boots and White Gloves (Pointless considering they only offer a +1 prayer bonus)

thats what im trying to get and to tank what gear should it be like? You want a mix of range attack and range defence, so maybe switch out the red dhide chaps for barrows legs (torags etc)/dragon legs/rune legs. Also take a granite sheild instead of a zammy book, they give a large range defence boost. Also take the best rfd gloves you have instead of vambs, and swap out the archer helm for a barrows helm or neitiznot etc. You also be thinking of taking a sara item (zammy doesnt matter so much), so if you have it a sara god cape is a good choice. Your only other problem is an armadyl item, armadyl pendant is what most people use, or you could go for something arma from the new TT rewards if you havn't done the quest. Edit: To heal you should be either taking bunyips, or a combo of monkfish and bones to peaches tabs, or just the runes if you have the spell unlocked.

If you're praying then you should be trying to aim for a higher prayer bonus. If you're planning on tanking then you will get slaughtered in that gear. Also, you might want to wait until you are 70 range, otherwise your profit might be fairly low.

The Sara Bow's healing ability is very nice for rangers, it heals a lot more than enchanced excalibur if you get a good hit, although no boost to defence obviously.

Thanks for being constructive :) If I had access to extremes I would honestly use them, stat boosting potions aren't really a problem, I just don't want to shell out money for a large number of prayer potions. I'll probably go with selling the DFS and buying Bandos Plate and Tassets, although with the DFS and my current cash my spare total only comes to around 57- 58 mil which won't leave much behind for Karils/Guthans/Zerker Ring, although I could just use a Kuradels ring everywhere and wait till I can afford a Zerker again. I find that obby sheild's are usually best to buy when it comes to getting the most out of your tokkul. You can buy them for 67k each at the weapons shop down there. Otherwise save up for a fury.

I didn't ask for efficiency advice, I simply wanted to know what people wore when slaying in the body and legs slots to give me some ideas on what might suit me. Not once in my first post did I use the word 'efficient' or 'efficiency'.
